How long can I stay in the Philippines if I am married to a Filipino?

If the marriage was in the philippines or a philippine embassy abroad it falls under the philippines laws and it is register by the municipality or embassy where you where married. Then the registration of marriage is automatically forwarded to the NSO ( national census office) for registration this can take around 2 months . Once the data had been uploaded the NSO will issue an NSO certificate which you can apply for at any NSO office in the country. Now that you have secure an original NSO certificate of your marriage contract you and your wife can go to the bureau of immigration head office in manila to apply for a Permanent resident status . Bring your passport and your NSO certificate and you have to be with your wife.

My Filipino girlfriend is pregnant question?

The Philippines provides foreigners holding round trip tickets on arrival three week tourist visas which can be extended for up to one year.

After one year a foreigner must leave the country, but can return immediately and acquire another three week tourist visa which can again be extended up to a year.

To extend your tourist visa you will need to visit the nearest Philippines immigration office, fill out a form, and pay a fee. I remember doing it multiple times during the six months I lived there but I'm not sure whether the extension is good for 60 or 90 days or more, after which you will have to return to the office and repeat the process.

Note that every time you change the departure date on your return plane ticket the airline will charge upwards of $100 or more.

When your child is born, be sure your name appears on the birth certificate as a UK citizen, and be sure to obtain UK citizenship for him, in the US called a "Consular Report of Birth Abroad", so that he will have opportunities to travel and receive education, as most Filipino citizens are severely limited in their freedom to travel, work and receive education in foreign countries, something you'll find if you ever marry your girlfriend and attempt to bring her and your child to the UK, which you should do, because after living there for some time I've found the Philippines undesirable, to say the least, and have brought my family home to the US, for the second time, and consider it one of the biggest mistakes of my life when this past summer I attempted to retire to the Philippines.

His parents unmarried, your child will be forced to take his mother's last name on his official Philippines birth certificate, until such time as you are married after which he will be allowed to change his name properly, though it's another tedious process, as will everything be from now on.

Should you get married to your girlfriend you can stay in the Philippines for a year, without any fees or visits to any office, with only a one way ticket, on what's called a "Balikbayan Visa", though before the year is out you will need to apply for permanent resident status.

What are some warning signs that my Filipina girlfriend may be using me for a Visa to America?

First of all, I hope she is not using you to get a visa. Life in the Philippines can be really hard and while she wants to spend her life with you..she might also want to go to America to earn and be able to help her family...I see nothing wrong with wanting two things at thesame time. It is in our culture too that children help their parents and siblings in need but of course you will always be her priority.

She can also think that you only want her to be your maid or you're going to get her a life insurance and murder her afterwards.. It's not just you who is taking a risk here. If you love each other, GO FOR IT!! Doubting is very unhealthy in a relationship.

My girlfriend is Filipino and she wants to come to India to stay and work here forever. How can she come here, and what type of visa will she be required to have to move?

Just get married everything will be shorted out by Indian Government.OrShe can apply for a job in her own country in the company which has a branch in India and willing to let her work in India.OrShe may launch a startup business in her own country big enough with more then 300 employees and open a branch in india and ask for work visa.OrJust buy 10 years of indian visa and don't leave the Indian land for next 10 years and then congratulation you are indian now!! May be in those 10 years she won't be able to work legally in india. She may choose spirituality or NGO works.OrJust take her to India with tourist visa and ask her to get low class job. Which doesn't involve any tax filing. And she may keep expanding her tourist visa. And while her stay she should not get engaged in criminal activity because she may get deported or she has to face long process of indian judiciary system. Just avoid getting involved by ignoring.OrPlease Don't mind!! It can be so derogatory. But it's also an option but not followed by decent peoples. She can get job with tourist visa easily in Dance bars. It's not a well respected job in india. But the bar owner will help her convert tourist visa into work visa. And be cautious never let her giveaway her passport to anyone.

Can I marry my girlfriend when she comes over to the UK on a visitors visa?

Not on a visitors visa. Absolutely not.Due to the scourge of sham marriages, registrars and clergy must see proof that each person can legally be married in the UK.There are two options:There’s a special visitors visa for getting married if the person does not intend on residing in the UK. Marriage Visitor visaORThe fiance visa, which you say is not in the cards as she won’t be staying. This is essentially the spouse visa but with the added requirement of proof that you will be getting married within 6 months of arrival. This visa is for people who intend on residing in the UK and has a minimum salary of £18,600 that you must earn to sp onsor the fiance/spouse (assuming she has no children that are coming). Family visas: apply, extend or switchA person cannot get married on a regular visitors visa. Nor can they switch to any other visa while in the country on a visitors visa.Because of this no surprise is possible. Unless she arrives on a marriage visitor visa, no marriage can take place.

Best way to get a visa for Thai girlfriend to come to Canada? How difficult is it?

Do not use any visa services, they promise things they can't fulfill. To get a Canadian visa depends on the decision of a Canadian Consular Officer and not on the promises of travel agents.

Fill out the required paperwork online and submit it to the Canadian Embassy by mail:

You also should formulate a letter of invitation stating that you will bear the costs arising due to her visit.

See the attached guidance for a visa application.

Additional advice:
• just apply for a single entry visa, Canadian visa officer tend to refuse first time applications for multiple entry visa
• your girlfriend should leave her child behind in Thailand with her mother since this would be an additional prove of strong ties to Thailand which will make her leave Canada as stated in the visa application. That's actually the main emphasis of visa issuing officers.

Why are there so many old Western men dating young Filipina women in the Philippines?

They're a form of sexual predator, although not the worst type by far. Here's the typical story: a man in his late 40s onward (I've seen as old as 80s) comes to the Philippines (or Thailand, or Cambodia, or...). He is divorced, or plans to be. He thinks that women in his home country are terrible harpies, unfit for dating or marriage. He has been hurt by these women of his own culture many times, and has decided to break free and make his own way, with women who truly respect men. These women just happen to be 1/4 (or 1/6, or 1/8...) his own age and in desperate straits. The reality is that these men are usually the bottom of the barrel: untalented, unintelligent and undesirable. But not in their own opinion - they are deep, deep into Dunning-Kruger territory. It all boils down to self-interest, and performing whatever mental gymnastics are necessary to convince themselves that it's OK for an old man to have sex with girls in their late teens. Why are there so many? The fundamentals are simple. There is a massive income disparity between Western countries and the Philippines: a poor man in the US or UK is quite rich in the Philippines. There is free flow of information: it's easy to find out you can go take advantage of poor girls across the globe. They're allowed to do it by locals. And, there is no shortage of assholes in the world. As to why they're not the worst type of sexual predator out there, the simple answer is that many at least abide by legal age requirements (18+) and, happily, the women they choose are often smart enough to drain away enough money to improve their own lives. The smartest get their education and material needs (car, house) then move on to dating younger men. Here are a couple of fun phrases all Filipinos know:Matandang mayamang madaling mamatay (MMMM) - rich old man, ready to dieDOM - Dirty Old ManIn short, Filipinos are aware that these old men aren't particularly great, but they make no efforts to chase them away either, knowing that the DOMs are adding money to a rather poor economy.

Can my pregnant Filipina wife give birth in the UK on a tourist/visit visa?

Your simplest option is to get her to apply for a medical visitor visa and book her into a private hospital. Problem solved, no risk of being bounced, no risk of anyone considering her an overstay risk.

A spouse visa isn't an option if you are not staying long term and unless you have substantial savings, you cannot sponsor her if you are not earning at least £18,600 with six months employment history.

A tourist visa and relying on the NHS to treat her is a high risk strategy. Births are not considered emergencies so she is not entitled to use it, even if she intends paying. If she intends paying that's what private hospitals are for. Pregnant women are questioned closely about their due date and she would not be allowed to stay anywhere near to her due date. Even if she gets a visa the ECO may curtail it to a couple of months or refuse entry altogether.

Another good reason to play it straight with a medical visitor visa is that it is so much easier to get discretionary leave to remain if, God forbid, there are complications which means your wife or baby needs further treatment beyond the visa date.

As for cost, there's nothing in it. She would be charged as a private patient by the NHS anyway so she might as well book in as a private patient although she must do this before applying for her visa.

Getting my Albanian Boyfriend a Visa to UK?

Since u cannot marry him, legal age must have to be 21 to marry a non-EU citizen, so Fiance visa is out of question. Since he was not legal in UK, he can only dream of returning back to UK. When a person leaves UK, his passport is swiped when a boarding card (even for ferries) is issued, and details are given to Immigration, computers check records against the name & date of birth & find out

1) Last date of Entry in UK.
2) Nationality.
3) If visa holder, visa validity etc.

If person is over staying, then his name is flagged & forwarded to UK Embassies. If no entry record is found, then again the name is flagged & Embassies are informed all over the world with passport & personal details.

That means, if the person re-applies the visa, his chances of getting a fresh visa are none to zero if he breached the immigration in past.

Now, question for you, can ur boyfriend get a visa? I dont think he can.

You have two choices, 1) Move to Albania & live with him there, OR 2) Sorry to say, forget him.

You can marry him when u get 21 & then may apply for spouse visa, it may be granted after few tries.

Good luck.

Easiest way to get my pregnant Vietnamese girlfriend to the UK?

Your only option is marriage and after only five weeks, you are going to have a bit of a struggle convincing UK BA that this is a genuine relationship.

You cannot marry on a visitors visa. It is an express condition of the visitors visa that you do not intend to come to the UK to get married. An ordinary visitors visa prevents her working, receiving NHS care other than for emergencies and she will get six months leave to enter the UK at most in a 12 month period provided she can prove that she has the funds to support herself for that period of time.

There is a marriage visitors visa which allows you to come to the UK to get married if you don't intend to settle in the UK. She could stay six months and would not be allowed to return within six months on another visitor visa. She could not work on this visa and would not be entitled to any NHS care for her pregnancy or any subsequent birth.

You could marry her outside the UK, but she cannot travel to the UK without a spouse visa. She would be extremely unlikely to get a visitors visa after marrying you as the risk of her overstaying would be judged to be very high.

You need to both be over 21, have met and have adequate accommodation in the UK and be able to support yourselves without recource to public funds i.e. benefits. From what you say, your main hurdle will be persuading UK BA that this is a genuine, albeit, rather hurried marriage. Spouse visas are currently taking about 60 days to process in Ho Chi Minh and 30 - 90 days, but could be shorter, in Hanoi. Marrying in Thailand would not help with the UKBA visa as she must apply from her home country unless she is legally resident in another country.

She could apply for a Fiance visa to join you in the UK to get married and settle here. Based on the shortness of the relationship, I would consider this a risky route to take.
