I Have A Final In English And I Need To Make Students Memorize Vocabulary Words

How to memorize vocabulary words?

say them over and over and write each word 3 times.

How do I memorize English vocabulary words?

Yes you can MEMORIZIE your vocabulary by making it a regular habit to USE AS MANY OF THEM AS POSSIBLE, especially in your OWN CONTEXTS & UTILIZING YOUR OWN CONTENTS, i.e., by using those words in making different SENTENCES on ONESELF, PEOPLE AROUND YOU, MILIEU ( THINGS) AROUND YOU etc. Moreover, make it habit to write as much as possible. Make notes with diagrams/MNEMONIC DRILLS to dipict the learnt words for MNEMONIC FACILITATION. Moreover, always make it a routine to RECALL/FIND OUT the EQUIVALENTS of the learnt words in your OWN DIALECT/ LANGUAGE which we have learnt since birth & have FAST/INDELIBLE MEMORY to which we must ATTACH/ APPEND all those subsequently learnt words.*Remember that, having a good VOCABULARY is just akin to having a good ARMAMENTARIUM to win diverse battles of one's life. So, the key to win a situation/ contest lies in the hard fact , that, “ IT IS IMMATERIAL HOW GOOD YOUR ‘ARMAMENTARIUM /VOCABULARY' IS, WHAT REALLY MATTERS IS ,DO YOU REALLY KNOW HOW TO MAKE USE OF THEM IN RIGHT WAY , AT THE RIGHT TIME OR HOW GOOD YOU'RE IN USING YOUR RESERVOIR OF VOCABULARY !?. Therefore, whatever vocabulary /words you already have or you go on adding daily, “YOU MUST LEARN & PRACTICE TO USE THEM , especially in your OWN WAY to make them your own, like you ‘make/win over' your GIRLFRIEND/ BOYFRIEND by repeatedly talking/giving treats in good restaurants {bas tum bhi SAB KO (ladka ko/ladki ko/shabdon or words ko) APNA BNA LO } !!!” so that those words (&/or your BF/GF) DON'T ‘DESERT/ELUDE' YOU WHENEVER RECALLED OR NEEDED THE MOST. DON'T keep any WORD/ ARMAMENTARIUM which you can not use them, because, NOT HAVING A THING WHICH ONE CAN'T/DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO USE THEM, IS BETTER THAN , HAVING THOSE , BUT NOT KNOWING HOW TO USE THEM AT ALL !!!!!Remember a very important lesson in life that, TO LEARN & MEMORIZIE something, YOU DON'T NEED THOSE WORTHLESS “DEGREES” doled out by different Educational Institutions; rather you need a great “DEGREE” of KEENNESS, PASSION, INTENSITY & INTENTION TO WORK HARD TO LEARN PERPETUALLY.Lastly I believe, for LEARNING & MEMORIZING, we all must have/develop the much needed “RECEPTIVENESS” as the “RETENTIVENESS” will ENSUE automatically. Learning & earning should be just like fun, so never try to learn something when you're under ‘STRESS/ TENSION' because you won't have the optimal ‘RETENTION' in such senarios/situations. Key to MEMORIZE is to LEARN & PRACTICE in a RELAXED way with lot of FUN !!!Good luck!

What is the most efficient way to memorize 500 English vocabulary words?

You obviously can't do it with random words, I'm not even sure if it wouldn't be too much to require of oneself, the number of words I mean… to better memorize you would have to first meet them in context, then find their simple definition in English which would give you a chance to practice vocabulary you already know and finally, perfect outcome would be able to actively USE these words in oral and written language…producing language is always the ultimate goal!I haven't found for myself anything better than reading a book appropriate level, I never set goals as high as memorizing SO MANY words a day because I doubt if it can be accomplished at all… better choose some reading where there's 10% unknown vocabulary, no more and even those words aren't all worth googling, some you could easily guess from the context…. Don't let yourself get stuck on EVERY word, it's a sure way to lose interest and never finish a story.Listening is also a very important skill, the one which is most difficult to develop and there's always a number of new words that could interfere with understanding….but there is also that learning strategy - listening for gist. This one is really good for beginners, once ear gets used to the flowing speech next step will be listening for details… language learning is generally done step by step, set realistic goals and you will have that feeling of being successful!

What is the best way to memorize English vocabulary?

I can understand why you would ask this question. Learning vocabulary is not the most fun thing in the world. Sitting down with a list of words to memorize and a dictionary isn’t only boring, but also it isn’t very helpful either. Luckily, there are other ways to help you improve your vocabulary.1. Make word associationsYour brain does not like memorizing lists of disconnected words. So, when you are learning new vocabulary, you will be doing your brain a great favor if you start making associations. You can make associations with your native language or with English words that you already know. Make sure to make that visual very strong in your brain to help you remember it better.2. Learn phrases, not wordsThis is one of my favorite tips as a tutor. As I already mentioned earlier, memorizing lists of individual words is not only devoid of any fun, but is rather ineffective. Memorizing phrases is much better, because it helps put the new vocabulary in context. As a result, it also improves your fluency, because you already know not only the meaning of the word, but also how it is used.3. Make the new words about youOne very helpful technique is to use the words that you have just learned to come up with and write down sentences about your own life. For example, if you have just learned the word “to frequent,” you can write down “I frequent our neighborhood bookstore on a weekly basis.” The more you connect your new vocabulary to your personal experiences and make the information relevant to you, the easier you will learn.4. Practice with native speakersLearning new vocabulary words is no use until you actually practice. I cannot stress enough the importance of practice when it comes to improving vocabulary, and here is why. You have probably heard of such a thing as muscle memory when speaking about musicians or athletes. A guitar player may sit there and memorize all of the possible chords, but unless he sits down with his guitar and runs those chords with his fingers, he will never get better.English Ninjas is the best place for you to develop your English “muscle memory.” The practice you get with us is the best kind, because it gives you the chance to experience the language naturally. Our native speaker instructors are available to you 24/7 every day of the year. Try it. You will see your vocabulary improving in no time. There is also discount for Quora community, check it here.

How to memorize 150 vocabulary words fast??

Okay, you need to tell yourself first of all that you do not have much time to remember these words. Just imagine, your two weeks is up the next day, and you need to memorize 150 words, stressing right?

That's why you need to convince yourself to do them, see the importance in it so you do not stress out and get very little sleep.

What helps is putting the words on index cards and the definition on the back. Another thing that helps is copying them down!

Copying these things is similar to taking notes, you force yourself to write something down, and you remember that in the process.

I don't suggest copying all of them, but only the hard ones you cannot remember.

How to remember strong vocabulary English words?

.......make it more ..powerful. is a good word.

The way to build up your vocabulary is to write down the words you want to remember and practice putting them in sentences. Lots of different sentences until they are fixed in your memory.

You know when we want to remember some's phone number, we keep saying it over and over again - well, that is what you must do with your words. It will be hard work but I am sure your mother will have already told you, nothing good comes easily in this life.

Good luck

How can I memorize a lot of vocabulary words (40 or so) in a short amount of time (1–3 days)?

To expand you English vocabulary bank, I suggest the use of an elaborate Index Card Strategy, with say 4x3 cards for their pocket portability. As  you develop it, and for each new word, i.e. one word per card, do your level best to understand  the specific characteristics  of the word (with all its grammatical  variations), understand word  parts (prefix, root, suffix), find similar  words (synonyms) as well as  opposite words (antonyms). On the flip side of the card, you can do your own sentence constructions to show that you have understood the new word. Naturally, you can also capture novel sentences with the new word from your readings, watching the movies, listening to podcasts, or conversations with native speakers, if any, or even from the lyrics of songs you love. Also,  understand examples and  non-examples, so as to become more discerning in  your eventual usage,  bearing in mind that most English words have three  levels of  application contexts: literal, figurative and connotative.By doing so, you are applying the multiplier effect to your English vocabulary building and generation! These initiatives may seem burdensome at the beginning, but once you get the system going, you will be amazed by your own performance.Last but not least, don't forget to make use of the new vocabulary in your everyday experiences of the real world: conversations, texting, emails, expressions in writing, presentations, etc.

How to quickly memorize vocabulary words?

Flashcards work pretty good, but only with a little more time. Just study them, take a break for a little bit then whichever cards you know keep out. Take a break then do the same thing til you know all the words.
