I Have A Little Problem. I Like To Make My Self Bleed When I See Something Sharp. What Can I Do To

I like to see myself bleed?

I'm sorry if this makes me a stereotype but I do cut myself purposely from time to time. It's not because I "want to prove to myself I can feel pain" and it's not because I feel insecure in my body and it most certainly isn't because I want attention, because I don't flaunt my scars.

I cut myself because I'm strangely fascinated with watching myself bleed. I like to press sharp things against my skin and I feel weirdly accomplished when I press hard enough to make myself ooze scarlet liquid. I don't cut in anywhere specific, just whatever places I feel like (and obviously places that are easy to hide)

I don't do this as a cry for help, but instead as something of a sick hobby?

I'm not really sure what I'm hoping to get out of explaining this. Maybe some clarity? Is this related to something physiologically perhaps? Am I just crazy?

I hate the feel of the pain, but I love the results.

WHY?

Also, I love when they scab/scar and I run my fingers over them as if they were badges of honor. I'm starting to freak myself out here.

If you are going to start cutting yourself, what do you need? And please don't try to talk me out of it.

Disclaimer: I don't think self-harm is a good idea and I'd advise you look for alternatives (Alternatives to Self Harm) but I'll answer the question. Before I answer I would like to address other people answering this question and strongly discourage you from leaving comments along the lines of “just don’t do it”. It’s like attempting to prevent teenagers from having sex with so-called “abstinence only education”. It doesn’t work and it’s usually counterproductive. If you won’t answer the question, don’t leave a comment. As I said in my other answer about this topic (Irene Grijalvo Tarrés's answer to How can I smartly cut myself?), if you’re going to cut yourself, do it safely. I address my thoughts about this in it, so I’ll just get to your question here.Do not, under any circumstances, use a knife. It’s the absolute worst tool for the job other than, I don’t know, a chainsaw. Common kitchen knives, unless they have been manually sharpened, are really not that sharp. It will take a lot of strength to actually make a cut and it will be much deeper than is safe because you don’t have very much control over the cut. I can’t say this enough: stay out of the kitchen. The safest tool for cutting is a single edge razor blade. Something like this. The single edge part is important because it allows you to hold the blade from the top without the risk of cutting your fingers. You can use a double edged one too, but you have to hold it from the middle, which is a worse grip than the top. It has to be brand new, so that you don’t get an infection. You will also need a way to disinfect your skin before and after. You can use rubbing alcohol (not liquor) or peroxide on a cotton ball beforehand. Afterwards, it’s better to use something milder, like soap and water. Then apply a little antibiotic ointment and cover the cut with a band-aid or a gauze with some cloth tape.If you have any other questions, feel free to message me directly. Stay safe.

Why is my open cut/wound not bleeding?

Not only being in police work I am also a paramedic which is required for my position, although I do not practice as a paramedic. There are many open wounds which don't bleed for various reasons. Cuts/wounds may not bleed because they were caused by a very sharp instrument and this causes the small vessels to clamp shut on their own which stops bleeding. There are many types of open wounds including gunshots where you can see an open wound where the projectile goes in and because of the force and heat it instantly closes off the blood vessels. However, an open wound under these circumstances are most likely bleeding on the inside of the body into the abdominal or chest cavity and is a very serious wound and is life threatening.  You can "bleed out" internally with no or very little blood oozing from the entry point.A lot of amputations such as having a leg or arm severed do not bleed on the outside and are bleeding substantially on the inside and are life threatening. Just because you don't see blood oozing from a cut or wound does not mean it is not life threatening.

Why do I always cut myself when I shave?

Why can’t I shave without cutting myself? I’m 27 and didn’t used to have this problem when I was younger but for the last couple of years I can’t get a good shave without bleeding all over, especially my neck. I’ve tried higher end razors like the Mach3 all the way down to the cheap little single blade disposables. Bought an electric razor but I can’t get a close shave and still look like I’ve got stubble after I use it. Tried shaving cream, gel, and soap. In the shower, completely dry. All with the same bloody results. What the heck do I have to do to make this stop? I’m sick of wearing a beard year round to minimize the shaving I have to do!

I feel like I have to pee but I have a really sharp pain and I can only pee a little?

Well yesterday lost my virginity to my boyfriend who was also a virgin.
I'm 13 but almost 14
(if that matters)
But it really hurt at first and then it felt okay,
-sex wise-
I was actually soar down there for the whole day yesterday and half of today.
Then it felt alright and I could sit down properly and so forth.
but today when I tried to pee,
Only a little tiny bit came out,
and it felt like I had to go really bad,
and I got this really sharpish uncomfortable pain..
and I have tried to go like 5 times in the past hour..
But I can't..
the pain is so excruciating and I felt like crying every time.
I want to ask my mom to take me to the gynecologist but I want to check what's wrong first?
Just so I know, or if there is anything I can do by myself to fix it?
Any advice, please?
Please don't leave comments about how I lost my virginity at a young age..
We were together for a long time and we felt like we were ready.
but any real advice would be nice.

Is it weird to cut yourself when bored?

Earlier today, I was playing around with my basic art-supply Xacto knife that I had on my desk because I was bored, and when I noticed that the blade was dull, I replaced it. I quickly ran out of things to cut apart and basically mess around with, so I ran the blade along the top of my arm to see how sharp it was, and it didn't really do anything other than make light red scratches, so I made a few more, then got bored again and moved on to amusing myself with something else.

A minute later, I noticed that my arm itched, so I looked at it, and lo and behold, there were super-thin lines of blood where I had scratched myself earlier. I was fascinated, and I tried lightly scoring the inside of my forearm, and the thin lines bled again. I stopped after a minute, cleaned off the cuts, and put bandaids on the ones that bled more.

Now, I can't help looking at them, and I really want to do it again. I don't know if this is bad, or if I am just bored or craving something. I like the look of the horizontal stripes that the bandaids make on my wrist and inner forearm.

I've never done this exact thing before. When I was little, I used to provoke my cat into attacking and scratching my arms up, and I like to play around with safety pins, but I've never done anything with knives before.

So the real question is, should I be worried, or should I just find a new hobby?
