How Do I Get My Sibling's Name Removed From My Property Deed?

I have a question. My dad, who is now deceased, put my half brother's name on the property deed. It was common knowledge that once my parents were dead, I'd get the land..But my mom decided to take her name off of the property deed once my dad died. To my knowledge, my half brother's name was added to the property deed in 2007..My dad died in 2011. My mom signed her part over in 2013, I believe. M husband and I live on the property (moved here at the end of 2012) and have paid the property tax for 2014 (possibly 2013 as well). The problem is, we've talked about moving a doublewide onto the property since the current trailer is in bad shape, or selling out. But my half brother will get half of the money from the sale when he's not physically lived on the land since 2011. How can I get my half brother's name removed from the property deed, when he refuses to sign the documents?? We've even offered to pay the fee so all he has to do is show up and sign his name. Still, he refuses, saying that my dad wanted his name on the property to protect my assets. The problem with that is if I were to die, my half would automatically go to my spouse (who I'm pretty sure my half brother thinks he's "protecting me" from, eventho my dad didnt mean my spouse when he said those words to him). Now I'm stuck and I dont kno what to do, bc my mom is no help, she says we should just come to some compromise. Any advice??

Need help with camper title transfer?

I bought a camper and it came with a title but the guy I got it from never transfered it to his name so I have a title but it's signed by both the original owner and the previous owner but was never changed. How can I get the title transfered to my name . And yes I know you should never buy a camper without title but it was a way too good deal to let pass. I live in Texas by the way. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation if so how did you get around the system . Like ways to trick the system .thanks in advance

Is this a good brand of horse trailers?

I've owned three Hale horse trailers in the past. I had no problems with any of them. My biggest problem with them was inside stall height. I like a 7ft. tall trailer and Hales are known for shorter heights 6 to 6ft. 6in. They are pretty tough made, and I think they were manufactured in Missouri, the company stopped production in 1976, due to legal problems, so the trailer you are looking at is very old.
Hope this helps.
Since the company is no longer in business anymore I think getting replacement parts could be tricky. Plus they are usually straight load trailers. I prefer slant load or stock style trailers. Horses seem to take to them better and have less loading and trailering problems. So, spending a little more money, will go a long way in the ease of trailering for your horses.

Can my boyfriend just kick me out after we have lived together for three years without any kind of notice to me?

It depends which country you’re in and a load of other facts like were you paying any share of the Rent? If you’re in the UK you could be protected by several Laws especially if you arguably paid your share of Living Costs directly by financial routes or by doing work on behalf of you both. I’m not sure about the length of time a couple must live together to qualify as Commonlaw Partners living “as if married” which also brings a degree of financial liability as well as protection, but no Landlord can kick a person out & make them Homeless without a Period of Notice. Also if youre pregnant nobody can kick you out of your home for ages; Presumably that’s not the case. If your name is on a Lease or Title Deeds you’re absolutely priotected (in the UK) from Eviction by that provided you are paying your half of the Rent and aren’t in Arrears. There would also need to be no issue of violence between you as that could compromise your position if he had a right to Evict under a Legal Right of Self Protection or if you have ever been convicted for Theft/Fraud.The ssumption is often made when one party seeks to get the other to leave that they have an inalienable RIGHT to do this but it’s not at all always the case. If you are in every sense an equal partner in the occupancy then you have just as much right to stay and him be asked to leave as he has.Assertiveness is not The Law. Seek Legal Advice from someone whose guidance is insured and guaranteed not to prejudice against your position.

How do you sell a car that is not in your own name?

You will have to get the named person or persons on the title to sign the title. Then you can sell the car as your own. It will be like you bought the car yourself from them, whether you actually paid them or not.You can also sell the car if you have a power of attorney from the owner(s) for that purpose. Also, if you are the executor of a deceased person’s will. The exact mechanisms of these two will vary by state, in the US.Caveat: If you have a title that has been signed by the owner, legally you are supposed to title that car in your name, paying the fees and taxes due to the state before you resell the car - IF you do not have a car dealer’s license. By skipping this step you are defrauding the state of their tax dollars. It’s called skip titling. It is done all the time, but it is actually illegal. If you are actually acting as the owner’s agent in selling the car, then you wouldn’t be skip titling. In that case, it would be best to simply have the final sale meeting with the owner(s) and the buyer(s) so the owner can sign the title over to the buyer. As a buyer, I won’t buy a car from someone whose name isn’t on the title, though there are many people who will.

How do I get a title for a used utility trailer? Title is lost & DMV wont help.?

File for a new one. I did it for a 70's camper trailer. title was lost, filed for a new one, now I have a title that says 1998. May cost a little but it can be done. I'm surprised the DMV did not offer that option. Stupid DMV.
