What do the top 1% of sales people (software/SaaS) do that the other 99% don't?

There are three things that separate the top performers from the ones with "uneven results".Quick background: SaaS has changed the world from huge deals to mid-sized and sales reps can't own a handful of accounts anymore. A lot of SaaS companies process >10000 leads per months and each SDR (handling leads) touch 100-200 per week. The account executives, working with opportunities (=qualified and ready to buy) handle 10-20 per week and the sales processes are often 6-12 weeks. So stop thinking "elephant hunting" and more working smart on the "conveyor belt". What does that mean for being a great sales person?1. Spend your time right  If you handle leads, be quick in putting people in marketing nurturing till they are showing buying signals. And if the buyer is too small, put them in self-service. If you handle opportunities, don't think "sales". Think find right need, educate, and guide through the purchasing process. I wrote more about this here: Why It's Time to Change Your Selling Tactics and The Challenger Sales is a great study. 2. Be persistentUnderstand that the customer needs to be buying, you not selling. Which means things might take time and then suddenly take off. Learn (and share) what triggers a customer to buy. If you are selling a project management software maybe you can only be used when a new project is set up, make sure to be service minded and be there when a customer has questions in that direction. Ask the customer for their timeline. That people don't reply to your first email, doesn't mean they don't want to talk to you. Gently remind them. Then ask them again if you should stop pester them. Some of these bounce back and tell you their timeline. Some say "please don't email me", and then you can unqualify them and spend your time with other customers. 3. Use software to help you performUpdate the CRM so you can remember the companies when you talk to them. Seriously. Don't think it is cool to "keep it all in your head". See it instead as the computer doing work for you and you can be focused on the person on the other side of the line. We have seen a significant difference between companies that set up their CRM and encourage their sales reps to use tools, than to companies who's CRM is for management and IT. As in any crafts the ones that focus, don't give up, and use tools to get them to perform are a league better than the lifestylers.

Job interview for a customer service advisor job, what questions are they likely to ask?

Wherever you have a job interview, the basics will always be asked like..

1. Tell me about yourself.
Keep the answer job or skill related.

2. Why did you leave your last job?
Never refer to a major problem with management or say undesirable things about your supervisors, co-workers or the organization. Keep smiling and talk about leaving for a positive reason such as an opportunity, or a chance to do something better.

3. What is your weakness?
Always try to give a positive answer. For example, "It takes me a long time to get ready in the morning, so I set my alarm two hours ahead of my time in for work."

4. What are your strengths?
Sell yourself. Say how you can be a desirable employee for the company.

5. Why should we hire you?
This is your chance to show why working for the company is important to you and why you think you will fit in. Don't mention other applicants for comparison.

6. Are you a team player?
The answer should always be a yes then cite examples. You may mention situations where you were part of a group or organization, and the activities you've had that show you worked well with them.

7.Tell me about your ability to work under pressure.
You may say that you thrive under certain types of pressure. Give an example that relates to the type of position applied for.

8. How do you see yourself five years from now?
If you answer that you have not thought about it or you have no plans yet, the interviewer could conclude you have no vision and goals. Say something that is achievable but not too low as this could imply you lack initiative. It should be consistent with the objective on your resume and the skills you mentioned you have.

9. What are your expectations from this job/company?
You will be able to answer this question well through company research and self-assessment. Think as if you are already part of the company. You may say something like, "I expect challenging tasks."

10. Do you have any questions for me?
Always prepare questions, but those that are not answered in the company's website or those you have not discussed. Asking questions shows you are interested to know more about the company or the job.

I want to start a call center?

Try Virtual call center business.First of all , try to understand , like all other business, Virtual call center business too need a good amount of investment to purchase basic resources , a lot of hard work , consistency try towards perfection and most important patience to see results.Ive seen many enthusiastic business planners forget basic things like INVESTMENT & HARD WORK. people plan business with just a computer , head phone and internet connection and approach to client who provide projects. such half business planners by mistake get themselves blocked for future opportunities as you already made a wrong impression. If someone offer you project to work , its your job to work on that, you can ask for guidance , support but can not ask them to work for you , if you do so, why they outsource/ hire you in first place then??Prepare your budget to purchase a good datalists ( approx 1.5lac to 2 lac ) , follow guidance such as how to hire freelancer , sure good client gives you all supportive materials and guidance . Be consistent no matter you fail to perform initially.. No business gives success from first day/week/ month. it needs some time to implement .Another big mistake , people think after investment , returns will start automatically by sitting idle. Dear, investment is just a part of inventory purchase to start work.. actual returns start after you do work , not by sitting idle. Here people ask client only, why am not getting results ? how on earth your client tell that, they hire you to do that particular project, and you ask them only why not getting results.. if thats case, sure you lose project and client interest in your operations too. Not good for business, as unfortunately Bpo industry is filled with majority scammers , Very few are working genuine silently as these genuine people dont wish to be part of that mess. After all , success and failure depends on your own actions . do hardwork, follow guidance , learn always from new things, experts and do act on plans. After all this long lecture, one of genuine client you can get project , guidance and long term business offers , trySaleem Shaik's answer to How can I set up a call centre in Mumbai?Saleem Shaik's answer to How can I start a small BPO in India?
