I Have Body Weight Issues

What is the best way to gain weight ?

I'm going to guess you're trying to bulk up for wrestling or some other sport... either that or you're Santa and you got a little thin over the summer.

Anyway, remember to try to eat healthy. You still need your vitamins and minerals through fruits and veggies. Increase your calorie intake by eating more meats and carbs. You still need to be getting a moderate amount in exercise to keep your heart healthy, so you will need to take in more calories than you burn.

Also lift weights. Muscle weights more that fat. It is a more dense tissue, so you can gain weight without becoming a blob.

Finally eat before bed. Your body won't have time to burn these calories. Try a big spoon of peanut butter before going to sleep.

If you are taking Laxatives to lose weight, will drinking Gatorade solve the electrolyte loss issues?

Laxatives are clearly not the answer and can be dangerous. Excessive use will damage your intestines and likely cause electrolyte imbalances to the point of being life threatening. Although standard Gatorade will replace some electrolytes, they will likely not keep up with whole body losses and will be giving you high glucose loads, adding to calories you are trying to avoid.

Rather, you need to determine first if losing 40 pounds is healthy for you based on your height and body mass index. Then you need to look carefully at your diet and the timing of the meals, better to consume a reduced portion diet low in carbs and fat and high in protein and consume majority of your calories prior to 3 PM daily. Finally you will need to look at the type of daily activity/exercise that you perform and the timing of the same, better to perform formal exercise within 2 hours of arising in AM, allow 40 minutes for CONTINUOUS exercise focusing on cardiovascular workout to achieve the best weight loss result.

There "ain't no easy way" to do this. Follow these guidelines for healthy and sustained weight loss. Expect to achieve your goal through healthy methods in 20 -25 weeks if you are really dedicated....yes it will take at least 6 months. Sorry, there is no magic pill.

Remember one other thing: It is easier to maintain an acceptable weight than to keep trying to lose weight.

Weight loss/ body sculpting dieting help!!!?

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

I'm losing weight but it doesn't show?!?!?!?

Hi I'm an 18 year old male and I finally have started to take control of my weight issues. I wasn't to heavy when I started eating right and exercising, only 230 lbs, but I was self conscious about it.

I am now about almost 7 weeks into this, I excersice every day, and I'm dieting well. The scale now says 205 hooray! But the only problem is, physically you cannot tell that I have lost weight. Am I doing something wrong?

My excerise consists of 50-100 pushups, 150-200 situps, 30 minutes on the stationary bike, and about 8-10 minutes running on the treadmill. I do this everyday as well as eating healthy.

Any tips????

Digestive enzyme...for weight loss??

I currently bought a box of "digestive enzyme" becuse I have heard that it can break down carbohydrates, protein and fat faster....
so....does it mean "digestive enzyme " can help lose weight??
