I have dark brown hair and want medium brown hair. Can I use 10 volume developer with medium brown permanent color & get medium brown results?
Absolutely. Although historically it has been taught that you need 20 vol for lift or to cover grey….more and more color lines are discovering that is simply not the case. The overwhelming majority of grey hair can have complete coverage using only 10 vol developer. And if you are talking about just a small amount of lift needed to go from what you call dark brown to get to medium brown, then 10 vol is all that is needed. Higher volume developer will create more “lift”, but lower volume will create more “deposit” and less damage is what has been taught for decades, and it is only partially true.The majority of haircolor can be achieved using only 10 vol. As with all rules of hair color, a very few people will have very resistant grey hair and need the extra softening that 20 vol will achieve. But in my personal experience, those are few and far between. Most of the LIFT AND DEPOSIT OF COLOR IS DICTATED BY THE ACTUAL COLOR portion of the mix. Contrary to much current thinking, 10 vol should be your “go to” developer of choice. But these are things only taught in advanced color courses and I don’t understand why that is? It’s not a difficult concept….unless you are trying to retrain one who was taught the old system. Those guys often don’t like change. It seems to scare them.
I have dark brown hair, but blonde pubic hair?
So, this is a weird question. But I have dark, brown, curly hair. However, my pubic hair is blonde. Not white, but blonde. I'm 18 years old, and I've always had this problem. But anyway, on multiple occasions my partners have said things along the line of "Why'd you dye your hair brown?" even though I never have. Long story short. Why is this?

You're not 100% Swedish. They usually have nordic features like white blondish hair, see-through blue eyes, and strawberry white skin. Even their eyelashes are very blonde.

why not put both tones? whenever i do highlights on someone with dark hair i always put 2 types just to make it look more natural, i know you wouldnt like blonde but just putting this idea out there, ive done a girls hair before who had medium dark brown hair, we put 2 tones of highlights in, one one a light carmel brown and the other tone was a darker blonde, very gorgeous, so when you go get your hair done tell them to bring out the color book and pick some different tones put them against your skin and then go from there, but i would suggest putting 2 tones if you dont want them to look fake
Can two dark brown haired people have a black haired child and a blonde hair child?
Yes, DNA is really interesting but it isn't measured in a measuring cup. I am not an expert, just have an interest. From what I have learned, we get DNA from our parents as they have from theirs and so on. We usually expect our kids to look a certain way and some genes are more dominant. The thing is both parents can have a recessive gene that one or all of the kids may inherit. So one parent may have brown eyes and the other blue, and we would perhaps expect all the children to have brown eyes but it isnt always the case when both parents have a blue eye recessive gene in their DNA mix. Same with hair.I have 3 siblings. The middle two look more like some of our Native ancestors with darker hair, eyes, and skin that tans easily, but I and my youngest brother have lighter hair, skin and eyes. I burn and don't tan and my features are more like my mom's side of the family. My mother had dark brown hair that could turn redish during the Summer and has one brown eye and one eye that is greenish blue with a blue ring around it like mine (mine are.just the one colour though). My youngest brother has our father's features and tans. We all have the same parents. My father has several siblings with blue eyes and blonde hair just like my mom's side.I also find it intersting that my middle two siblings have kids that have blue eyes even though their very dark brown eyes should be dominant. One of my brother's kids has yellowish eyes, dirty blonde hair and light skin even though his mother is mixed and has darker skin than my brother and has brown hair and greenish eyes. His sister (also my brother's kid with the same mother) looks like my brother's mini me but with lighter skin. His daughter with his current wife has blue eyes and lighter brown hair just like her mom.So basically, we never know what our kids are going to look like because there are so many variables. It makes life interesting.
I have sort of tan/olive skin, light brown eyes, and dark brown hair. Should I dye my hair black?
I have dark brown hair but I highlighted it a strawberry blonde a few months ago. I wanna know if I should dye my hair black? My skin color is tan/olive with yellow undertones. I just wanna dye it black for the summer, especially because I get really tanned so I dont think it would make my complexion look washed out. I'm afraid the black hair would make me look trashy, or too fake, considering I have facial piercings, what should I do? I wanna dye it black, but have it look natural.
