I Have Decided To Be A Rapper

Why are rappers so self-centered?

I'm going to have agree with you 110%! It has gotten out of hand.. at first it started with just crackin jokes on one another about who is the best emcee but now it's all about showing off all their wealth. and then there's so many copy-cats. it is so f*cking boring now!

Is John Cena still a rapper?

Nope, he made that one album that WWE paid for, and it was such a resounding failure that they decided not to make another one. I did actually like ths songs Bad Man, for the awesome music video, and right now. Although his cousin the trademarc who appeared on the album, put out an album call inferiority complex, and Bumpy Knuckles, who was also on the album, has been putting out albums as Freddie Foxxx since the late 80s.

Why have rappers started doing a fake laugh at the beginning of a song?

Just lately i have noticed rappers all doing a similar stupid laugh before they start rapping their pointless crap.

Why is this, why have they all decided to do this at almost the same time, am i missing something here?

Do you guys know any good underground rappers for me to try and listen to.?

I love rap but most of today's mainstream music sucks, so I've decided to just listen to mostly underground rap instead. So could you guys name me some good ones? Thank You.

Anyone know any rappers with positive messages in their songs?

I now exactly what you mean. I used to listen to Eminem a lot, the weird violent stuff. Then I sorta changed and began listening to Tupac, The Game, and Drake. Listen to these. They are my favorite songs of all time that actually have meaning.

CHANGES - TUPAC
BETTER ON THE OTHER SIDE - THE GAME
Seduction - Eminem
Going Through Changes - Eminem
BEAUTIFUL PAIN - EMINEM
Rock Bottom - Eminem
Dear Mama - Tupac
DOCTOR'S ADVOCATE - THE GAME
ALL THE ABOVE - MAINO
CHASING SUNSHINE - MIMS

Caps are songs that I really recommend you listen to.

Who inspired Eminem to start rapping?

Well as Chris Franco pointed out, Ronnie Polkingham (Eminem's Uncle) killed himself (apparently over a girl, as is pointed out briefly in the song Stan). But Eminem had a passion for hip hop from a very young age (he actually practiced breakdancing before rap, and switched to rap when he realized he couldn't breakdance).Eminem himself has always been a great fan of compound lyricists. That's his style and he perfected it best in his albums Infinite, The Marshall Mathers LP, and Relapse (in my opinion, as someone who has listened to Eminem for many years now). I think you'd have to look at artists such as Big Daddy Kane, Biggie Smalls, Rakim, Kool G Rap, Ghostface Killah, etc. in order to really start to understand where he started to learn the art. I have a great article posted on the art of compound/multisyllable rap here: How to Compound/Multisyllable Rap (Guide to Rapping) - Hip Hop ReduxCheck it out, there is alot to learn about the subject, and Eminem himself is one of the masters of the art.
