How can I get rid of very dry skin around my eyes?
I would echo the other answer, that perhaps seeing medical professionals is a good idea.One thing that is a reason people have dryness in their skin is dehydration. Do you drink enough water? And do you consume enough sodium to help you retain some of the water you drink?I have been told by a few skin experts that another reason for skin dryness around eyes is stress, so if there are any areas in your life where you can reduce stress, that might be another good start! What can I do for dry skin around my eyes?
I've noticed recently that the skin around my eyes (on my eyelids and the outside corners of my eyes) has become dry and a little red. I'm hesitant about what to use to help moisturize my skin in that area since skin around the eyes is so delicate. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Dry skin around my eyes...?
Okay, so I have combination skin. Oily in some parts, dry in others and it's super annoying. I thought I finally got a handle on the problem, but it still appears from time to time. The skin around the inner part of my eye near the tear duct gets really dry. I use an eye cream twice a day as directed, but still it gets super dry some days. Especially if my eyes have been watering (from seasonal allergies generally). I know the skin around your eyes are very think and sensitive so I don't want to overdo it with moisturizer or anything else. Any suggestions are more than welcomed.
Dry Skin Around My Eyes?
I get dry skin on my upper eye lids, where my eye lashes are. It itches and it shows, it's pretty unattractive. The only thing I can think of it to try and get it off with my nails but I end up pulling out eyelashes! I've had some spots where I have no eyelashes and I don't know what to do. Lotion didn't help, doing nothing doesn't help. I don't know what to do. Also, I haven't had any eye infections, I don't wear make-up at all. No contacts, nothing around my eyes. I don't know what this is. Any help?

ok...plz don't ask why i was crying... but i was (i'm depressed) and i just kept cryign and crying. My actual eye balls don't hurt... but the skin on my eyelids...and around my eyes hurt? WHY? adn what can i do to stop the hurting?

If you have really hot showers or moderately hot (steam isn't good), that could be drying your skin out and causing it to crack and break. Have more cold than hot running (not really ideal but its better) or try cutting down on how long you are in the shower. Don't put any oils on the cracked area.. it will do nothing.. If you have heard of papaw ointment, give it a try. Or moisturise before you go to bed and after you get out of the shower. You can even try natural, home made remedies like - 2 egg whites, tea spoon of lemon juice and half a grated cucumber mixed thoroughly in a bowl, this will re-hydrate your skin and cleanse any broken areas. If this information doesn't help, you should see a dermatologist and they will most likely figure your situation out. Hope this helps!

If you wear makeup try out an eye makeup remover so it is more gentle on your eyes since they are more sensitive in this case. Use your usual face wash routine but you always want to moisturize! Moisturize your whole face but you should definitely invest in an eye cream! Go out and buy one that you like and read the differences between each. Putting on eye cream focused more under neath your eyes at night has you waking up with supple nice moisturized eyes and your face feels instantly amazing and bright eyed to start your day. You can even do your whole skin care routine and put under eye cream on, color correcting if you were interested in that to hide redness on your face, then apply your normal makeup and it helps your face to be nice and supple enderneath your makeup and gets rid of dryness!Furthermore if you were interested, color correcting your face before makeup can hide dark spots/red spots/yellow spots. And if you deal with dryness of the face you can even look into facial sprays/mists to further enlock mositure underneath your moisturizer! ;)
