As a guy, I have more girl friends than guy friends. How do I make more guy friends?
Are you a guy or a girl? I am going to assume you are a guy and if you feel easier communicating with women, you like to discuss your thoughts without actions taking place. You have to join an activity that males do, such as playing basketball, going to the gym, etc. etc., and be super outgoing and friendly. Talk to everyone and others will see your effort and constantly look forward to the next meeting. If you have a set activity (such as basketball or lifting), then it is easy to meet them there again and you can branch out from there.
Why do I like my guy friends more than my girl friends?
I’m a girl who generally prefers male company. Not macho guys, guys who think about the world around them, to simplify things. I think it’s partly yes, because there is a special dynamic between males and females (whether people are gay or straight), and also for me because I just tend to prefer to interact on the subjects men are more likely to bring up in conversation.Nothing to be confused about, there have always been women like us who got on better in male company.You sound a little young so I’ll give you a word of warning; watch out for the fact that straight guys will often stake something as small as a smile as a come on. Yes that is fine. Why wouldn't it be?First, it is great that you are open-minded enough to expand your friend circle to both genders and not setting barriers. That is a common idea, especially among younger people.We shouldn't define our social circles based on race or gender. If you get along with them, enjoy your time with them, why not? Do what makes you happy. And don't feel that it is abnormal to have more girl friends than guy friends, I also am in that position. Most of my close friend circle consists of female friends, and I am ok with that, because it is those people that I enjoy talking to and hanging out with.If people ever make fun of you for it, it doesn't matter. Their opinions, all of them, will one day not matter. That day, only your opinion will. If you are happy and content, that is all that is important.

so i've been thinking about all of the friends i have because i am getting ready to go christmas shopping, and i have realized i have alot of guy friends. i get criticized alot because some ignorant people in my city think that's "slutty"...but to be honest, i just find to much drama hanging out with girls. it's not that im not a girly girl...i still wear makeup and dress up and do girl things, but i just tend to hang out more with guys. is that normal? is it slutty? im not sleeping with any of them so it can't be right? i mean so many people have judgments on it i need some advice on maybe how to change this? maybe get more friends who are girls?

Yeah I'm a girl and generally prefer guys as friends. I'm not a tomboy or anything, like I like girl things and stuff, but my sense of humour and thinking is kinda like a guys. I am extremely sarcastic and pessimistic but can also be annoyingly optimistic which is weird, I know. I like to have a LOT of banter with people and some girls just don;t understand it, and can be pretty witless and sensitive at times. I also have a 'just bloody get ON with it' attitude. If a girl is indecisive about things (especially if she's being an idiot by staying in a relationship that is bad for her) I'll generally get annoyed and be like 'just get on with it! What is your problem!' That makes me sound like SUCH a mean person! I'm not! I like to have in depth talks and stuff and LOVE my girl friends MAHOOSIVELY, but a lot of them are like me lol. A lot of wit, their head screwed on, and they say stuff how it is. But when I'm having a weird day, I talk INCESSANTLY!!! Which is pretty girlish, but my guy friends know what I'm like and just lay into me for it. . . Which gets me through a lot if I'm completely honest =) Also, most of my guy friends can hold a brilliant, in depth, philosophical conversation about deep things, which some girls just don;t like to get into, like world events, government, religion, all those taboo subjects. And they can debate brilliantly. Girls tend to gossip a lot, which I really can't stand! I don;t like gossiping about people, I'd rather tell them face to face. But again, my girl frineds are like me which is why we get on soooo flippin well!

I am a girl, and I have a lot more friends that are guys than girls. My boyfriends have always hated this, and are always convinced that my guy friends are INTERESTED in me in other ways - they claim they "know how guys are". My guy friends don't flirt overtly or make passes at me, and I feel they respect the fact that I am in a relationship. Do guys keep girl friends around "just in case"? Or can they really just be platonic friends with girls? What do you think?
Why would a girl have more guy friends than gal friends?
I know this girl and she has more guy friends than girl friends.I find this very odd. My first assumption was that the guys at her school all wanted to be her friend because she is very beautiful. Of course what guy wouldnt. But this girl is also very weak willed. She copies every girl she sees and only appreciates compliments of the people at her school never from her family. She also only listens to the advice of her friends and barely family. But to be friends with every boy she meets is very odd. I also asked this girl if she had any enemies and she said "yes". She said there were a couple girls at school that hated her and kept talking behind her back. My guess was because the girls thought she was sucking up to the boy population of the school. Dont get me wrong this girl is no whore. She came from overseas at a young age and her parents have raised her as if she was still living overseas so I think that being in the U.S. it is very easy to get confused as to what the culture is. I'm not saying its bad for a girl to have more guy friends and girl friends. It's just odd to me and its something I don't really understand. Why would a girl have more guy friends than girl friends?
