I Have Stiff Legs - Help Asap

I found a very skinny cat with very stiff legs, please help?

he allso appears to be deaf. Our cat, hears the slightest movement and looks up and perks his ears and meows non stop until you meow back. this one, wont even budge until i go and touch him, then he perks up and looks at me and meows untill i meow back--to the point when i was screaming at it and it never stops meowing until i leave :( he is hiding under a shelf in the shed, with a heater and food and water and a blanket all the way on the other side. so, well just take him to the humane society, and despite the answers that "the humane society kills innocent animals" well yeah they do, but this poor guy just needs to be put out of misery. we also got a dog from the humane society, so they dont ALWAYS kill the animals. this cat is just too far past recoverable, and even if he was recovered, he'd be deaf and in pain anyways. i'm not just saying" ohh well, well just kill him" no. im saying hes miserable, and just needs to be let out of pain. so..yeah..

Puppy has stiff legs... cost?

My Golden Retriever puppy, now 7 months old, has stiff hind legs. It's really bad when he gets up after lying down for awhile. It doesn't seem to be causing him pain and doesn't seem to be affecting him playing, but it bothers me to see him walk like that... it doesn't seem like it can be that comfortable! I also put my hands on his hips when he was walking, and I occasionally could feel a clicking feeling on his left hip when he walked.

I of course plan on taking him to the vet to get this checked out, but am unable to go right away. Though I have noticed a difference in his walk since he was about 4-5 months old. It just seems to be slowly getting worse. So my first question is, how much on average does it cost to get a pup checked out at the vet? I'm sure he'll need x-rays and a physical type exam. Also, I've been reading a lot about hip dysplasia, and if he does have this, and I know that there are different levels of severity, but can anyone tell me on average how much this cost for treatment? I'm really hoping he doesn't have HD, but if he does I'd like to get an estimate on what type of financial debt I'm getting into here. He's worth it, though.. Thanks for your answers!

Puppy has stiff legs, please help!!?

My 6 month old border collie has been walking very stiffly on both of her back legs and her front right leg as well. I took her to the park today, just like any other day. The only thing different is that she was extremely tired after about 30 minutes of running and swimming around, compared to the usual 2 1/2 hours we are normally out there. When I saw how tired she looked (very unusual, she never gets that tired), I made sure to stop letting her run around any more and headed straight home to let her rest. I was already concerned that something may be wrong with her just based on how tired she looked, but when she got up from her nap and started shuffling around and barely even able to go faster than a creeping walk I really became concerned. I noticed what looked like some red bite marks on her back legs two days ago and also found that she had fleas (we treat her regularly) and gave her a flea bath and another treatment of Frontline. Could the fleas have anything to do with this??

Dachshund has a stiff hind leg and I'm wondering what is going on with him. Does anyone have a clue?

As a breed, dachshunds are extremely prone to spinal problems, and ages 3-7 is when this problem usually occurs. Weakness or unexplained stiffness or pain in a dachshund’s leg is usually a sign of a very serious back injury. If you don’t get him to the vet within 24-48 hours, he could lose most of or all of his ability to walk on his back legs. You can NEVER be too cautious when it comes to a dachshund’s back. If you even THINK something is wrong, the sooner you get him to the vet, the higher chance his ability to walk can be saved. I urge you to hurry.

Emergency help! My dog doesn't move and is really stiff.?

My dog is half chihuahua. About 8 years old and I came home around 940 and found him on his back with his front legs straight forward. Then I find that his hind legs are like that as well. His neck is really stiff. His tail does not move. He responds when you say his name. He can't walk and appears to be out of breath every 30 min or so. His tongue is like numb it looks likes he's going to swallow but he doesn't. I can motion his legs up and down but they just go back straight. I don't know what to do. My parents cant take him to the vet they just spent 300 for another dog. I just dont know what to do. How am I suppose to sleep with him in conditions like this. I lay him down and leave but he just starts crying. Reason to cause this! I don't know. It was really hot today. He always gets in fights with my other dog and is really hard to separate. I guess he has anger issues. Is it a seizure ? But he's been in that position for a long time now and plus I don't even know when it started.

If I have a stiff neck, is there any good method to relief my pain?

First of all, if you have any numbness or pins and needles in your arms or fingers, see a doctor ASAP. Also if this is an ongoing or recurring problem and you've tried changing your sleeping position, or if you've had an injury that caused the pain.Assuming the stiffness is from something like sleeping in an awkward position, or bad posture (as opposed to an injury you just sustained) you can help relieve the pain with gentle heat. If you don't have a rice bag or heat pack, put a bunch of rice into a cotton or wool sock and warm it gently in the microwave. Be careful with this as it is easy to overdo it. Go for warm instead of hot. Remember that the skin on your neck is thinner than the skin on your hand, and the glands that regulate your temperature are in your neck - so even if the rice pack doesn't feel all that warm to your hand, it'll still be effective on your neck, and if you're not careful you can burn yourself more easily than you think. A gentle neck rub is also good for stiffness as it helps to relax the muscles. If you have some deep heat cream that will make it even more effective and eliminate the need for the rice bag/heat pack. Don't use both together. A mild OTC painkiller will also help. You don't need to bring out the big guns for a stiff neck. Something with ibuprofen in it will help with the muscle soreness. A few gentle range-of-motion exercises and neck stretches can also help, although really these are best done daily and not just when your muscles are in spasm. Be careful to do appropriate, safe, and gentle exercises - no sudden sharp movements and don't push too hard. You can find good neck exercises with Google. I'd link to some but I'm on the phone and it's a bit awkward, sorry.I'm not a doctor, and this isn't a substitute for real medical advice.

My cat was frozen stiff outside and now that shes warmed up she barley eats but moves her legs and head?

Take her to an emergency vet med. center right away.
She sounds pretty sick.
The emergency centers charge around 100-200 dollars, at least that is how much it cost when i took my dog there, and they are open over night.
Or call your vet if you have his/her home phone number (I live in a small town where it is possible to do this but I don't know about you).
Last time i saw a cat do what you say your cat is doing, it had a feline disease and died within 24 hours... Its name was Buddy, he was my bro's cat, and i was staying over for the night. He had a really runny nose and was bloated and he just laid on the floor and moved his paws and tail and could not stand up.
