My lips are so damn chapped lol I have super chapped lips and I need to know how to get rid of them?
recently my brother brushed my lip with his finger he play so much my lip cracked and busted in the middle (it wasn't hard) then one time at my mom house I was sleeping and I yawned and it busted and cracked again then another time me and my friend was playin (not even hard punches at all) then my lip busted and cracked 5 times 2 on side 2 on other side and 1 in the middle.since then I have been trying to get blistex medicated chapstick (in blue round mini thing) I put it on 1-3 time day.help!!
Pimples or chapped lips?
I get pimples only around my mouth. I use alot of chapstick and when I stop my lips get super chapped. I'm not even sure if the chapstick is the cause for my pimples? I dont know whether to have chapped lips and not get pimples or to not have chapped lips and have huge painful pimples around my mouth! Also, is there anything I can do to make these pimples go away or not come?!
When you have chapped lips are you supposed to peel off the dead skin before applying chapstick?
No! Never ever do that! I have read similar questions, and maybe it’s just a cultural thing, but I never would have thought of peeling my lips.Just grease them up and the dry skin will slough off, which you can wash off when you wash your face. Keep applying it regularly, frequently throughout the day, day after day. In other words, always wear it.You know what makes for chapped lips besides heat and very cold weather? Licking your lips when they feel dry. Don’t do that.Get some made with bees’ wax. It costs more, but it is worth it.
My lips got SUPER chapped out of nowhere!?
It's as if though they became covered with a layer of chapped skin OUT OF NOWHERE 3 days ago. chapstick doesnt help no matter how much i apply it! this has never happened to me but theyre so dry theyre almost numb and it came out of nowhere. my guess is dehydration but i have no idea. help me out.

Chapped Lips + Vertical Labret= ?
I am usually the one answering the piercing questions, but here's a question for you all: I had a vertical labret for a few months before I lost it due to jewelry falling out at night, but one problem I always, always had was that my lips were super chapped. As in, large pieces of skin could be peeled off my lip every few days. Now, I want it redone, and unfortunately I work and go to school for most of the day, so constant re-hydration is not a viable option for me. I would like someone to tell me the best kind of lip solution safe for a fresh piercing. No, things like chapstick aren't effective, and gooey lipgloss or vaseline won't be good for the piercing. I need something natural, strong, and safe. Homemade remedies are fine, but if you do could you include a little more info than just the recipe? What can I use for chapped lips other than chap stick?

In addition to making sure you're staying hydrated, go out and buy a little jar of lip balm! I recommend Carmex as they have the most natural feeling moisturizing formula (at least in my experience). Some other balms feel too waxy to me and I end up licking my lips even more and further drying them out. But Carmex always provides the immediate relief I need without exacerbating the problem down the line. Its very important not to use any products with petroleum or alcohol, these ingredients are found in the most famous lip "healing" products such as blistex, Carmex and vasoline. Petroleum - Petroleum is a by product of the oil industry, it is found coating the oil rigs (gross right?!) but besides this, Petroleum does nothing to help your lips, it creates a barrier over dry lips creating the feeling of smoother lips without actually nourishing them in any way, famous products such as Blistex, Carmex and Vasoline may become addictive because once they wear off the lips they feel dry again but thats only because they were never healed in the first place.Alcohol - Alcohol dries out when exposed to air, hence the reason its so great for brush cleaner and hand sanitiser, but unfortunately not good for healing your lips and does the exact opposite by drying them out.I would suggest Lanolips 101 ointment to heal your lips, Lanolips uses cruelty free lanolin. Lanolin is a by product of the wool industry here in australia, sheep push their fat into their wool when cold the fat makes their wool waterproof. When its summer we sheer our sheep (give them a hair cut so they aren't hot) once we have their wool the lanolin is extracted from their wool, purified and packaged. The sheep fat mimics the fats we have in our bodies and actually helps to heal our lips instead of creating an artificial barrier. The reason i only use their brand is because they have a written agreement from their sheep handlers that the sheep are treated nicely.
