I Have Ten Days Left To Complete Seven Research Papers

Is one week long enough to write a research paper?

If you are in college it is (or should be). In high school I had to take a writing class. The class lasted a semester and required writing a 10 to 20 page (double spaced) paper complete with note cards, bib, etc. This was nothing compared to junior college. I'd routinely write seven to ten page reports for a couple classes each week. By the time I got to a four year school I would have to write weekly lab papers, complete with outside (library) research, in excess of 20 pages.

In work life I thought this would go away. No, I routinely write documentation papers that are five to ten pages single spaced. This is JUST the text portion; not the diagrams or screen shots.

Instead of posting on YAHOO! get busy writing SOMETHING. That is the biggest block to most tasks; getting started. Once you have SOMETHING in the computer you will feel much more at ease.

The biggest thrill for me at least was my first published work in a magazine. The circulation of the magazine was 50,000 at the time. So if only half the people reading the magazine read my article it meant 25,000 people read my work. This WILL make you want to be sure you check your facts and get everything right. I now publish on the magazine's web site. My work has been sited on numerous other web sites as well.

12 men work 8 hours per day to complete the work in 10 days. To complete the same work in 8 days, working 15 hours a day, how many men are required?

We know this:12 men : 8 hours/day : 10 daysx men : 15 hours/day: 8 daysLets try and reduce the number of variables which can be done if we eliminate a common factor between the two.For this lets see how many days 12 men would take to complete the work if they worked 15 hours instead of 8.Now we know that if 12 men work harder, they will complete work quicker. So the rate of work and the duration are inversely proportional.So 8 h/d : 1015 h/d : y daysThen y = 8 *10/15 = 80/15 = 16/3 days.Now we can refactor the first set of equations as :12 : 15 : 16/3x : 15 : 8We can eliminate 15 because its the same.12 : 16/3x : 8Since x men take more time than 12 men, x must be lesser than 12.Therefore8*x = 12 * 16/3orx = 12 * 2/3 = 8 men.

What should I DO in the last 10 days left to NTSE? (best tips please)?

Let me be very blunt. If you are late in the preparation, don't expect that you will achieve something great and will be among the toppers of NTSE. I am not trying to demotivate you but it is just an introduction for you to the competitive world.Coming to NTSE, yes it is a very prestigious exam and clearing it will boost up your confidence and will also give you monetary benefits till the time you do your studies. All other scholarships have several rules and restrictions while NTSE, once cleared is quite easy in formalities, rules and regulations.Coming to your query, Yes, if you work hard you can clear the exam. Some prerequisites, I expect that you have:Studied class 6-10 Science, Mathematics and Social Sciences with a good interest and can answer an MCQ. If you are not thorough with them, in this time you can revise class 9 and class 10 as most of the questions will be from there. Now, coming to what you should do in this short time.Practice past year papers, at least 3 papers will suffice.Give special attention to MAT. Believe it or not, if you do that paper excellently you will get selected even if your SAT goes average. For SAT, you can also refer any General Knowledge book for History, Indian Polity and Geography. One thing I would like to mention, NTSE is not a very difficult exam if you have paid attention in your school education. So be motivated and do your best. Even if you can't succeed, there is no need to worry. You will get many opportunities ahead. All the Best!!P.S.- I apologize if I have written incorrect English somewhere in the answer

If 12 men are working 8 hours a day and they complete the job in 5 days then how many men working for 10 hours a day complete the same job?

We will use Chain Rule to solve this question.According to Chain Rule, the work efficiency remains constant.[math]\dfrac {W}{WF \times T} [/math]= ConstantHere W = Work Done, WF = Workforce, T = Time.Let the number of men needed be 'x'.Applying Chain Rule,[math]\dfrac {W}{12 \times 8 \times 5} = \dfrac {W}{x \times 10 \times 5} [/math]Or, [math]x = 9.6[/math] MenSo, you need 10 men approximately. How do I study 15 chapters in 3 days?

Studying 15 chapters in 3 days....hmm........well actually it depends a lot on the subject, it's difficulty level and more specifically your interest in that particular subject. However, let me provide a general answer for studying more in less time.-First of all KEEP CALM!! A mind full of tension and pressure can contain nothing useful. So keep your mind peaceful and still, it'll increase your concentration and remembering power.-Make a stern decision to stay away from distractions. You can anyway enjoy yourself after the exam gets over.-Next, make yourself well acquainted with the subject and your syllabus. At this point you must know: what the subject is all about, how it's knowledge is being used in real life, it's importance etc.-Be IMAGINATIVE!!  Coming to the studying part, first understand your topics well and then to remember them for a long time, try to associate it with something interesting. Our brain can easily remember pictures or videos in contrast to bookish text. So make use of figures, diagrams, examples, youtube videos or just some funny/strange story or incident that you can imagine or remember.-Always CONNECT the concepts together. The mistake we usually do is learn one thing and then start learning the next in a completely new way. The concepts/topics that you learnt must not be isolated, connect them to remember each and everything in a better way.For example(a very very simple one), Let's say our goal is to learn A for Apple and B for ball. First of all learn the individual topics well enough like, Sachin ate apple & Sachin bought a red ball. Then combine them like, Sachin ate APPLE but on a condition, that after doing so he will be allowed to buy a red BALL.-Don't just memorize things. Understand them well and then use the utmost of your  imagination and creativity to make them stick together. Learning things this way will not burden your brain with many different topics, but a you'll have a set of topics interconnected with each other. With this technique you can remember most of the things in just one go. However like every other techniques, this technique can also be enhanced and improved with practice and effort.
