How do you get rid of a scab on your forehead?

A scab is how your body is healing itself from whatever damage that has been caused e.g. physical injury or picking at pimples. I recommend just leaving it alone as over time it should get smaller until it fades away completely. There are some natural treatments such as honey masks that are said to help heal your skin but just being in good health and hygiene should do just as well, keeping your skin moist may also help - there are plenty of oil free moisturizers on the market.To mechanically remove the scab in ways such as peeling it off can worsen your skin. Some outcomes such as scarring can be permanent however you may just hurt yourself and end up with another scab. If the scab has came about from picking at a spot then any pus that was excreted from the resulting wound can worsen your acne as you are distributing oil and bacteria further, resulting in infection.

I have this tiny little scab type thing that keeps coming back on my forehead...?

It is really hard to pick off when it appears. I usually use tweezers and it hurts to pick off. It comes back the next day. It's been coming back for about 2 months now. Any ideas?

Tiny little Bumps??

i have tiny little bumps EVERYWHERE my arms, legs chest, and back.....most of the time they get white heads but they are so tiny the white part looks glossy but they drive me crazy and if i squeeze them sometimes hard pus and liquid pus comes out any one have any idea what they might be?????

How is my habit of picking scabs a genetic disorder, and how much is just weakness?

I've always picked at my scabs. I remember as a tiny girl, at the age I was constantly supervised, I would sneak into the playroom and hide behind the door so I could pick at the scabs on my ears without my mummy seeing. I always had little spots of blood on every pillowcase I ever had, and my mother routinely threatened to paint my ears green if I didn't leave them alone. My family would show me my auntie's scars from her habits, and warn me I would look horrible when I was older.

I always thought it was a bad habit I would grow out of. But now I'm 18, and it has actually just worsened, when I was 16 I moved from just my ears to picking at spots on my face and arms. It's not self harming for pain, it's just that I hate blemishes on my skin and I unconsciously pull off any rough surfaces with my nails....and worse.

I stumbled across 'dermotillomania' the other day. Apparently it's an anxiety disorder that affects 4% of the population, is often genetic, is worsened by stress, is generally unconsciously done and is related to OCD. I have tried before to stop, the whole way through my life. But I have only ever, in my entire memory, had a few months of clear skin (in summer holidays). Is this just laziness for not breaking a bad habit? Or is it really not just weakness that means I can't do this?

P.S. Please don't just tell me I'm disgusting, I already know.

How do you quickly heal a hole in your skin left behind from a picked pimple scab?

All the advice already given here is awesome to treat it. However, if you’re going out and self conscious about the wound you left, simply put a dot of liquid concealer or liquid foundation over it. (Wash hands first and apply with a clean cotton swab to prevent infection)

What are the little crystal-like, scab-like things that cap off pimples called? How do they form?

This crystal what you are talking about is exudate from the wound.(the liquid that oozes out through the deficits in the tissue due to the wound). It contains plasma (liquid portion of blood), some fibrin, few red cells, few white cells. This dries up on contact with air and the fibrin contracts forming a crystal like mass.

Whats this crusty stuff that keeps showing up on my scalp?

Sounds like seborrheic dermatitis.I have felt your pain here:(
Common signs and symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis include:

* Patchy scaling or thick crusts on the scalp
* Yellow or white scales that may attach to the hair shaft
* Red, greasy skin covered with flaky white or yellow scales
* Small, reddish-brown bumps
* Itching or soreness
* Skin flakes or dandruff
Though the exact cause of seborrheic dermatitis isn't known, several contributing factors seem to play a role, including an abnormality of the oil glands and hair follicles. People with this disorder seem to have increased oil (sebum) production.

It's also thought that in some people, a yeast (fungus) called malassezia grows in the sebum along with bacteria. Antifungal treatments, such as ketoconazole (Nizoral), are often effective, supporting the idea that yeast is a contributing factor.Nizoral works really well.It is alot better than the other dandruff shampoos on the market.You can get it at any drugs store without a prescription.

Outbreaks may be linked with production of certain hormones, physical stress, fatigue, travel, change of season — outbreaks are usually worse in the winter.
Hope this helps;)
