I Have Tiny Blood Blisters On My Hand How Can I Get Rid Of Them

How do you get rid of blood blisters on the hand?

I had one once, and it was way bigger than yours (it was about 3/4 of an inch in diameter). I got it by catching my thumb in the moving counterbalance when I turned the handle attached to a vice upside-down. Now I am not a medical professional, but here’s how I dealt with mine. I took a needle, sterilized it, drained the blood by poking a hole in the skin, and put a bandage on the wound. I also kept the skin over the blister on after draining it. It healed fine, and was relatively painless. For a blood blister your size, I would suggest just letting it sit, as it seems small enough to heal on its own just fine.

How do I get rid of a Blood Blister on my finger???

I was dunking around at the gym yesterday and i got a blood blister on my finger from the rim. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before and if so, how do I get rid of it. I got one o couple years ago and I tried to let it heal natuarally but you can STILL see it today. This one is bigger so i would like to get rid of it right away if possible.

Tips to get rid of a blister?

This blister seems to be quite the pain. I used to get them all the time on my hands from gymnastics; sometimes as big as quarters!

Things you will need:
A wash cloth or small towel.
bactine or hydrogen poroxide (any kind of anti-bacterial liquid, really)
A bandaid if you would like to use it or just let it dry out on its own.
Neosporin or triple antbiotic ointment
A pin or needle VERY THIN.

Here's what I did for them and what you should do:
1. Drench a wash cloth or small towel in as hot of water as you can take and use it as a compress on the blister (this will relax the skin, make it less painful, and bring the fluid; not the blood, to the surface). Soak for 5 minutes.

2. After the skin on the blister is moist, it should be white. That means that the fluid has come to the surface. Steralize the needle with anti bacterial liquid, do not wipe dry (germs from the towel or tissue will get on the needle).

3. At the side of the blister, not the top, because it will cause too much pressure on the sides causing a painful pop (learned that the hard way), gently pierce the surface of the blister. Water will come out if the needle goes in.

4. Remove the needle and allow the blister to drain on it's own (this may take 5 minutes).

5. Once fully drained, it will be deflated. DO NOT RIP OFF THE TOP PIECE OF SKIN. it will eventually dry up and fall off. This is your body's way of protecting the vulnerable skin below it. If you rip it off, you may get an infection.

6. Apply hydrogen peroxide and antiobiotic cream with a q-tip and apply bandaid if you think you need it. Also, apply the antibiotic cream every 4 hours or so for the next 24 hours after you pop the blister.

Good Luck!

Blood blisters on my fingers from dunking?

I'm 6ft and am able to dunk, but when I do, I get really bad blood blisters on my fingers (mainly the ring, middle and index fingers). I know that you're "supposed" to dunk with your wrist hitting the rim, but my hops aren't up there yet.
My 2 questions are, should I "cut" the blood blisters and relieve all the pressure. A LOT of blood comes out but then I have naked skin there. Also, do gloves help prevent this problem?

How to get rid of blood blister on belly button piercing?

You can probably remove the piercing without disturbing the blister, if you have not already had it leak then it probably will not from the piercing.

BUT...

If you must remove the blister, or really want to that bad, you can do it the following way. I also suggest not being squeamish, or having a friend do it if you are.

You will need:
-A sterilized pin or needle. (To achieve sterilization, simply wash it with antibacterial soap as you would your hands, use alcohol, or use antiseptic wipes.
-Antiseptic wipes.
-Some sort of band aid.

1: First, sterilize the area using an antiseptic wipe.
2: You will need to lance the pustule. Do this by slowly breaking the top of the blister using the pin or needle. This should NOT hurt too bad. If it does hurt a bit, ignore it. If it begins to hurt too much, THEN back away and apply the bandaid.
3: After you have broken the surface of the skin of the blister, remove the pin or needle and slowl squeeze, lightly, the blister, easing the fluids out bit by bit.
4: You will probably not get ALL of the lymph out of the blister, but get it down to the point where it's deflated.
5: Sterilize the area with another wipe or a clean section of the same wipe.
6: Apply your bandaid and let it heal over, it should not re-fill. You can now work on your piercing once it has healed.
