It sounds like textbook herpes honey. Razor burn and razor bumps wouldn't scab over like that and appear in bunches. Keep in mind that herpes is a disease transferred by skin to skin contact, not sexual intercourse. You need to see a doctor asap! In the meantime, keep your hands very clean. Wash thoroughly after touching the area or your will spread it further through your genital region. You said at first there was one and now there are about 8. That's what I meant by bunches. Are they painful? If not, then it may not be anything serious. It could be a rash from a new detergent or new panties made from material you are allergic to. You should still see a doctor.

Most people with herpes have no symptoms at all. So if by "undetected" you mean "symptomless" then the answer is - forever. I've put a link to a page about herpes testing on my fave herpes website. The relevant portions is "For the most accurate test result, it is recommended to wait 12 - 16 weeks from the last possible date of exposure before getting an accurate, type-specific blood test in order to allow enough time for antibodies to reach detectable levels." There is some important info in there. For example, request a type-specific test. Most people (50% to 80% of adults) have HSV1, so expect it to be positive for that. It's HSV2 that you are probably worried about. The second thing to know is that you can get either virus (HSV1 or HSV2) in either place (orally or genitally). So you could easily catch HSV1 genitally, not realize it, and assume that a positive HSV1 test means ORAL herpes, and be wrong. Finally, know that most standard STD screenings don't include herpes. Herpes, Hives or Mosquito Bites?
Let me preface this by saying that I am not currently, nor have I ever been, sexually active. That being said, over the last day or so, I've developed a few random bumps on my arm. 2, to be precise, with one other possibility on my inner thigh [which might be gone by now]. The one that I just found itches and feels like a mosquito bite, it's located on my upper arm. The one that I've had since yesterday is about two inches above my wrist (on the same arm) and at first glance looks just like a reddish/pinkish blotch, but when you touch it it feels slightly raised. When pressure is applied to that one, it also feels slightly tender. It sounds like what I have. It is called ceberiec (sic) dermatitis. You need to go to a dermatologist and get some sort of cream. Another suggestion is to wash your face with soap a few times a day. It is a strange situation, it is dry, but moisture itself will not help it. The cream I have (a nizoral based cream) dries it out more, but it works. It is like a form of dandruff on your face. That is the best I can do with the limited info you have given and my lack of a full knowledge of your history. The best thing to do is go to a dermatologist, they will know for sure and be able to help you. It may be a long term thing though. BTW-It could be a form of herpes, but before you freak out, understand that chicken pox and shingles are also a form of herpes--herpes zorster. Good luck!

They can’t even tolerate a little pain..”This was what a female pharmacist told me when i was desperately in need of pain killers because i had shingles and a nerve was hurting like it was on fire!(For those who don’t know, anyone who has caught chickenpox will have the virus in them permanently and can manifest as shingles later on in life, affecting a single nerve in their body. Your skin becomes inflamed and you get nasty little blisters on the skin above the nerve.)Unfortunately when i was diagnosed, my doctor for some really odd reason didn’t prescribe me any painkillers and I stupidly believed the doctor who told me anti-viral tablets (these did work but over a period of days), calamine cream and paracetamol would work.This was in the morning. Fast forward to 9pm that night and i could not even lie down because of how much the blisters hurt! I go down to pharmacy (unfortunately dressed in tracksuit bottoms, T-shirt and looking like an addict) and to ask if they have anything stronger than ibuprofen/paracetamol, but they say they cant give me anything stronger without a prescription! Fortunately I live in the UK and there is a phone service where you can phone a helpline for non emergency services and they could even get a doctor to prescribe medication and fax it to the nearest pharmacy.So after about 45 minutes I’m still at the pharmacy waiting for the doctor's fax to arrive (all the while in excruciating pain!) And I just so happened to ask the pharmacists if my prescription has arrived. They say “no” and ask me to wait a bit longer. Then one of the pharmacists, a woman, turns to her colleague and tells her “Men… they can’t even tolerate a little pain!” (While I was standing in front of her!!).It took every ounce of patience I had to not retaliate rudely. Also I just wanted to get out of there as soon as I got my meds.For someone in the medical profession I believe she could have been a bit more sympathetic to someone in pain!Moral of the story: Sexism sucks and women can be very sexist too!
