I Hear Too Much Static Electricity In My Headphones

Is this tinnitus? I notice when I wear headphones that I hear a ringing noise or other noises, but I notice that the sound gets louder when I wear headphones.

Any ringing or tones you hear that are not actually sounds are tinnitus, technically. Headphones often have the ability to produce levels that can damage your hearing. If the headphones are amplifying electrical noise though, it may not be tinnitus.Get some cheap foam earplugs, and put them in your ears. If you hear the ringing you have tinnitus. I have it, but my experience has been that often times it is temporary. It is generally a good idea to protect your ears from loud noises so that you do not damage your hearing. Headphones, loud concerts, airplanes, and shooting guns are the thing to look out for. Always use ear protection. Loud slowly changing sounds are less damaging because your ear has build in protection, but quickly changing high frequency sounds, thing like gunshots and cymbal hits can be the most damaging. If you are concerned about your hearing, go see an audiologist and get tested. This is often covered by health insurance. You can also ask them to take molds for custom ear plugs, which if you want to go to concerts and shoot guns, I highly recommend. As much fun as it is to listen to music crazy loud (I know I did a lot of that when I was your age), you do need to recognize that there can be consequences.

Why did static electricity affect my headphones and computer speaker sound like this?

Damn girl. You create a lot of static electricity it seems. A lot. You should wear a grounding wire when you are on your laptop. It keeps static electricity from discharging into whatever you touch.

You can find one at your local Radio Shack. Be sure to hook it to something metal.

I hear too much static electricity in my headphones?

My headphones are ok, as I tried them on another computer I have. Also, I have another set of headphones which I know they work but when I try them in my computer I hear the same static noise.

Its not the motherboard nor the entry, because its new and was changed by warranty upon having the same problem, and guess what, the new motherboard experiments the same failure, so it's not the motherboard.

At first, sound is perfect, but within 15 minutes it just starts fading as static noise makes itself more present and strong. Sound might come and go, even from one side of the headphones only. Then, all what is left if static noise, and then, no sound at all.

When I turn off my computer, and disconnect the supply cable, I press the power button of the computer case. The computer turns on for about two seconds.

After doing this and turning on my computer properly, audio works fine, but after 15 minutes it happens all the same as I wrote before.

If I wouldn't turn off my computer, disconnect the supply cable and press the power button to get rid of all the static I would have to wait to the next day for the audio to work fine. But then the same story of the static noise would occur.

Whenever I use my Bluetooth headphones, I hear some static noise from them when an audio is being played. Is it normal, or there is a problem with my headset?

which mobile are you using?smartphones?older models?feature phones?while using feature phone my 2500 rupees headphones create some problem.but with high end smartphones like my lenovo k6 power,i dont face a issue.maybe you change your mobile phone once and play it through your friend's phone, and if you notice no difference at all, thats the point.okay,if you crank the volume down, i hope there might be a solution, but my main issue was my phone,as i.replaced it, i was good to go.a slight issue is okay, but a huge noice is not what you want from a paid device.-EN

Why do my headphones sound distorted?

Hello, here is a guide for you: Why Headphones Make Crackling Noises And How to Fix It? It has listed some reasons why headsets make crackling noises as:#1- Loose wireThe wires allow the electronic signals to be sent to and from the speakers. The rubber coating surrounding the headphone wires are mostly thin which can easily be bent and disconnect the signals which may cause crackling sound in the headphones. It can be the primary reason why your headphone is producing crackling noise, or it may be an indication that its high time you start searching for a new pair of headphones.#2- Defective headphone jackThe apparent cause of crackling headphones can be due to the defective headphone jack. The easiest and full proof way to check your headphone jack is working properly or not is by plugging it into several ports and that too in different devices. When plugging in, make sure that the headphone jack is plugged adequately in the port. Any loosing or partial plugin will cause crackling sound because of poor electrical signal transfer. This method will easily tell you whether your headphone jack needs to be fixed or your device port.#3- Poor equalizationThe headphone crackling can be caused due to the poor quality of audio or because of poor EQ setting of the media player. If the settings are not set properly like bass or treble settings are too high or the volume max out beyond the certain recommended limit, it can cause crackling and bursting sound which can actually harm both the ears and the headphone speakers. Therefore, it is highly recommended not to listen at higher volume, and it is the major reason for sound crackling because the headphone speakers are not designed to produce a sound more than the set volume.#4- Broken speakersIf the problem is not caused by all three above, then the chances are that the headphone speakers are broken. The reason for the loss can be because of listening to the music on high volume, poor handling, long term wear and tear or due to damaging of wires. If the warranty is still there, then you can expect replacement or repair under stated terms and condition, if not, then it’s high time you should buy some new headphones. These are some of the root causes why headphones make crackling noise which can either force you to buy a new set or spend some bugs on its repair. But wait! Before jumping to spending the money, let’s know some possible fixes which can genuinely save money.……Hope this helps!

When I have my headphones plugged into my laptop why do I hear a wind/static sound?

I found out it almost has nothing to do with the laptop or computer, but what you use around it.

It can be your sound is turned all the way up, this sometimes causes distortion.

More than likely, if you hear static? It's your laser mouse. I found this out after moving my speakers further away from my mouse. Problem solved, no static noise.

If this isn't your problem, then determine what is close to the laptop. If nothing, then try audio settings. Adjust volumes.

Still nothing? Try new headphones, maybe they're crappy. If that doesn't work, it could be just all the static and interference from the componets running inside the laptop. Hard drives or what not.

Hope this helps.

I bought new cheap earphones, the sound is fine, but every time I listen to them I feel sick. What should I do?

Too much bass. Or in technical term : excesive low frequency vibration.See the organ colored in blue ? That is called semicircular canal. Its like gyro for your brain / body. Its filled with fluid (but no it didnt work like water level but its different topic for different time). When you listen to cheap set with too much bass the vibration is transmited through your bone and into the fluid inside the canal disrupting your gyro sending conflicting signal to your brain. The result is just the same as sea sickness or motion sickness. The solution to your problem (beside buying a new head set with better bass )Turn down the bassTake motion sickness medication before listening to music (if you dont mind the extra drowsiness)

Is it true that using earphones cause damage to brain cells?

Using earphones can harm ur ears directly if u regularly use them. But the effect varies on the volume higher the volume higher the risk of damaging the ear drum. People who listen to music at volumes exceeding 90  decibels, can suffer temporary loss of hearing. Sounds in this range can  eventually cause permanent hearing loss, especially to teenagers who  wear their earphones for long periods of time. So for safer side use the earphone at low volume, but that will only lower the risk but slowly nd gradually the effect will b seen as ear infections, deafening, hearing loss etc.So with bad hearing, your brain has to allocate more of its resources to help with hearing at the expense of cognition. And excessive pressure can have an adverse effect on the brain.
