I Hit My Head Against The Wall And I Bled From My Ear Like Only A Drop Or Slightly Less

My kitten hit her head, concussion, nose bleed, brain trauma?

Walking in circles like she is doing can be caused from any type of head trauma, or she could have fractured her neck.

You need to call a vet and work out a payment plan and get her to a vet, you are risking her life by not taking her to a vet.

I understand you are having money issues, but there is always a way to get medical care..Please call your vet in the am and work it out..

You will have no way of knowing what kind of damage she has till they can do a CT or Xray the poor baby...

good luck and I am sorry your baby is in pain...

Keep a close eye on her, and you do not need to let her sleep all the time, this could be being caused by blow to the head and she could be bleeding in the brain......try to wake her up every once in awhile, same with humans, blow to the head they will try to keep them awake.

call your vet, you will not know if has brain trauma till the vet can check her out.

EDIT: KIDDO,CALL YOUR LOCAL HUMANE SOCIETY AND SEE IF THEY CAN HELP YOU OUT, SINCE NO MONEY, OURS DOES IT FOR PEOPLE THAT CANNOT PAY, OR CAN PAY ONLY VERY LITTLE.

I fell out of bed and Hit my head on my nightstand.?

Thank you for your responses, turned out I let it go to long, on Monday around noon is the last thing I remember until the ambulance came and picked me up and took me to the hospital from work. I have a concussion, and I was lucky enough not to have any bleeding on the brain. However I am still slurring my speech and have severe pain in my head, I also have trouble remembering things from past and present, but I am on the road to recovery, guess its a good thing I never played football since Im accident prone enough to get a concussion falling out of bed. :) thanks again

About a month ago, I got hit hard in the head with a metal bottle, I got a severe headache, and flashing vision afterwards, should I be worried?

The best thing to have done right after it happened would to be to have seen a physician. If you are still having issues, then I'd still see one. However, the longer you wait the less he may be able to help. Ultimately, either your body will heal itself or it won't. But a trip to the doctor may shed some light on your symptoms and suggestions on symptom management. I hope this helps.

What would happen if we hit a person on his head with a bottle? If it were possible to knock someone unconscious but not kill them with 100% certainty, what spot on head should we aim for, and with what hitting force?

I'm not an expert in concussions, but I know a bit about what would happen in this situation. A blow straight down on the head (such as being struck with a bottle) creates a phenomenon known as "axial loading." If the force is great enough, the pressure will explode the vertebral body, and the bone fragments can damage the spinal cord [1]. The higher up in the spinal cord that this damage happens, the more serious the injury is likely to be. Unfortunately for the victim, the damage is most likely to occur in the cervical (top) section of the spinal column, because cervical vertebrae have the more slender bodies.A blow from a bottle probably isn't enough to explode the vertebral bodies of most individuals, but it can happen. A professor of mine who was a neurologist for 30 years has told us stories of one such case that he vividly remembers. An elderly gentleman was walking down the street at night when a mugger snatched the flask from his hand, smashed it down over his head, and ran off with his wallet. The elderly man was rushed to the hospital, and ended up suffering from serious spinal cord damage.I doubt that there is a sweet spot on the head that would allow for unconsciousness but not death with 100% accuracy. If there is such a thing, I'm certainly not aware of it.[1] Netter's Neurology, 2nd Edition. (2012) Jones, Srinivasan, Allam, & Baker. Page 563.

What is the best thing to do when a grenade is thrown at you?

You need to take cover. Quickly look around you for a large, solid structure to hide behind, such as a tree, rock or wall, or a ditch or trench to jump into. If there is not enough time to get to one of these, then throw yourself to the ground and lie face down as flat as possible. The grenade fragments will be projected upwards and outwards, so lying flat with your face and chest shielded should protect you from most critical hits (unless the grenade lands on or beside you). As Kegon Teng Kok Tan points out, you should lie with your feet directed at the grenade (head pointing away), although that tends to be the natural orientation if you are running away from it.If possible, take note where the grenade lands, and act accordingly i.e. move as far away from it as possible, rather than just blindly panic, when you might be running right into the grenade without realizing it. You might even be able to throw it back, but only attempt this if you have a good guess for when the grenade pin was pulled (takes roughly 5 seconds to blow up), or if it lands extremely close to you (you're dead either way). Personally I wouldn't try this unless I saw the pin pulled and were feeling extremely ballsy.Grenades are most effective in enclosed spaces, where it is difficult to find cover or get out quickly. Otherwise they are intended mostly as a technique to scatter troops and induce disarray, rather than a direct intent to kill - soldiers running around panicking are relatively easy to pick off with a rifle.

Is it safe to shower after hitting my head?

I slipped and hit my head on the edge of my wall about an hour ago, there is a big lump on my head and a bruise.. it's still a little sore.
Do you think having a shower would be okay? Pain wise? (I'm not concussed or anything)
Thanks! xx

My cockatiel crashed agiasnt a wall?

You shouldn't have to go to the vet unless lots of blood is coming out. Birds are small, so a lot of blood loss can be very fatal. It's very possible that your bird just broke a blood feather or two. It's probably a good idea to read http://www.cockatielcottage.net/feathers.html for help on how to stop the bleeding from blood feathers. Good luck!
