I Hv Completed My Bds From Delhi Pls Tell What Should I Do Now As Now I Am Shifted To Mumbai

Is an MBA a good decision after BDS? I want to leave my core field.

Hey,I am one of the best examples that you can relate to.I've done my BDS and worked in a clinic for an year. Then gave my CAT, XAT, SNAP etc, and scored a whooping 97.36 percentile. I am currently an alumnus of XIMB-HR working in Jodhpur.I also had a dentist amongst my seniors and one among my juniors in PG. A junior dentist gave her CAT and scored 99.2 and is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta. She didn't like being a dentist too.Campus placements are good if you are good with your presentation skills, communication and are diligent enough. If you have a love for it, broaden your horizons, you need not stick to MHA nor think that you have wasted 5 years. It, infact, is a unique factor and helps you to get noticed. As for me, I've never regretted choosing this path because just like you, I've always dreamed of being associated with big companies. Following your passion might not be always possible but doing what you dont like is something you might have to live with regretting for the rest of your life. Choose well. All the best!!

Can we transfer a BDS internship to a different dental college in a different state (in India)?

Of course you can you need few things for that.1.Noc from the college you studied,2.letter from the university which your college is affiliated to,3. Appointment letter from the college you want to do intership from,4. Registration from the state dental council,5. 1st to 4th year passing marksheet and few more documents. And yes most important some bribe to the college where you did your studies to.( Approximately 50k- 1 lakh)And some internship fees (which is totally illegal) to the college you want to do intership in.Don't forget stypand is out of question you have to give fees for the internship first approximately 60000 - 200000 INR to the college you want transfer in.Everything here concerns with the private college transfer I have very less idea about transfers in government college.Thank you

What is the best option after BDS?

After BDS!MDS! A big NO.Reason -amount of money you spend is very difficult to recoverMDS is good only if you get a government seat or in AIIMS where your expenditure is negligibleNow, if you wanna be in India! Then do courses like.EstheticImplantRotary endoDepending on your field of interest.Doing such courses will help you learn advance dentistry, which is more practical and updated in nature. By the time your batchmate clears mds. In 3 years you will be multi specialist. And having your own clinic that time will bring more confidence.(In a room of 100 patients.MDS - will find 10–30 patients butMulti specialist - 60–80 patients.)Short term pain- long term gainTill then you can work in a trust clinic and implement what you learned in these courses.Second best option would be.Move away! India is not the right place for young dentists.Incase any more information requiredMessage me .Thanks.Dr. JwenishExplore options for Germany and Canada or newzealand .

What are some options for a biology student other than medicine after class 12 in India?

Not all students who choose Medical stream as a career option after 12th pcb stream wish to become doctors or dentists. In Indian society, it is an auto assumed scenario. If a child opts for 12th science stream (PCB), society starts to believe and see them as future doctors. Due to this false impression, in most of the cases, students are forced to appear for medical entrance exams even if they don’t wish to. Sometimes, it is misleading as students themselves also start believing that they must become a doctor, or dentist. Lack of professional guidance results into disasters as when students realize that they are just running behind the crowd, they have already lost good amount of time. Here, I am shifting the focus from MBBS and BDS to “OTHER CAREER OPTIONS in LIFE SCIENCES” and listing out some of the possible career options for 12th Science Stream students who like to study life sciences but do not wish to become doctors.Students with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at 10+2 can opt for career in Life Sciences. Can I do MBBS after doing BDS and where?

Upper AGE limit for giving NEET under general category is 25 years. If one has completed BDS, he/ she will be 23 years old in best case scenario. If one is from general category and 25 years old forget about MBBS.If one has not completed BDS and meets the above criteria then one can always quit BDS, join MBBS after clearing NEET and get on with it.I have seen people do both, i.e quit MBBS midway and join BDS and join MBBS after going halfway through BDS, but joining MBBS after completing is awful waste of personal, familial and national resources. If I can go on a tangent here, If you are willing to go through the trouble of studying for NEET, why not take NEET PG and get into MDS maxillofacial surgery or oral surgery. These guys often do reconstruction and surgical work in head and neck region which even many ENT surgeons shy away from. Most Doctors take them very seriously and colalborate with maxillofacial surgeons during Polytrauma management. If you want to be looked upon in equal footing with other doctors, here is your inlet, without doing MBBS.People pursue BDS as a halfway house when they don’t get MBBS, many want o have the satisfaction of putting Doctor tag in front of their names, but it need not be that way. You can be as good as a MBBS doctor or even better if you master your craft and reach its Pinnacle. The satisfaction and fulfillment you are looking for elsewhere might well be within you.
