I Just Got My Nose Pierced Yesturday And I Was Bleeding Alot And I Got The Earing With The Sort Of

New nose piercing, bleeding a lot?

I got my nose pierce today, it was fine until I got home. I forgot about it and scratched my nose. It bled for ages.. have I damaged the piercing? Or is this normal? What should I do?

I got my nose pierced earlier today and now it's bleeding?

Your nose cartilage just went through a pretty traumatic experience. Its bound to be a little sore. My nose-ring was sore for a month. A little blood is normal, too. I don't think its infected... I think you are just a little concerned about it and freaking out for no reason. Which is also normal. Just keep cleaning it, twisting it, and have an extra one on hand in case the one you pierced it with comes out in your sleep. Remember to wash your hands before you touch it and you should be fine.

My new ear piercing is bleeding a lot?

No, there's no need to worry. I'm more worried about the uneducated answers you're receiving. For one, NEVER use alcohol on a healing piercing. It dries it out and kills off the good bacteria needed for proper healing. Do not use a toothpick to pick off the dried blood. DO NOT twist the jewelry! That only tears the healing flesh and drags bacteria into the piercing.
Do not remove the jewelry. The piercing is irritated and taking out the jewelry would trap in whatever bacteria is in there which can cause an abscess.
If you were having a bad reaction to the jewelry, you'd be having this problem in both ears, not just one. However, I'd also make sure your piercer used surgical grade steel or titanium earrings. If they didn't, get them switched out immediately.
To clean the blood off, soak it in water as hot as you can stand for 5-10 minutes to soften the dried blood. Gently use a q-tip to wipe off the now softened blood. I'd also be adding sea salt to the water. It would be 1/4 tsp of non iodized sea salt per one cup of water. When doing this, wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap. I'd also try to avoid sleeping on that side for now.

My nose piercing is bleeding?

I just got it yesterday (it was very painful) and I got lightheaded and everything but that was because I had just finished eating. Anyway, I felt a "draft" on my nose, I usually feel the when my nose is running when I'm sick. I used some to pick my nose and a tiny bit of blood came out. Now today when I was on the bus coming home from school it started to bleed and it's still bleeding. Heavily. I mean, I even think the blood has took away the sparkle of the stud, it doesn't shine anymore, it's like bronze color now, when it was silver before. There's dark blood come from the piercing and inside my nose. I only touched it about twice today but I can also move my nose and I often do that so that might have put pressure on it and caused it to bleed.

My parents were there during the piercing, and now my mother is really worried. She put some alcohol on it and it's still bleeding. Can someone tell me how to lessen it, or stop it, or tell me how long this will go on? Because I can't go to school and go to the bathroom all the time to clean my nose of blood.

I'm 15 by the way, and sorry for posting this long story-question! I got carried away!

Should I worry about a bleeding nose piercing?

It sounds like this is either a new nose piercing or it’s an old one that is infected and will not heal.I think you need to use peroxide or rubbing alcohol, forget which, on new piercings to keep them clean and the nose ring clean. Maybe try a q-tip dipping in the liquid to clean the area. You might try removing the piercing and cleaning it or putting a clean one in while the other sits in a peroxide solution to disinfect. You might be allergic to the material in the piercing and it cannot heal because of the allergic irritation. Many metals, even silver and stainless steel, have trace amounts of nickel in them. A lot of metals have a coating on them that wears off and then the nickel is exposed as well, even in hypoallergenic earrings.Never use anything less than 14k gold, preferably 24k gold. I always switch bad to gold when I had irritated ears from wearing earrings, or I would remove them completely until it healed. Sometimes the hole would close a bit, but repiercing was pretty easy since the scar tissue had already formed the hole around the earring. For nose bleeds, applying pressure at the bridge of your nose can help constrict the flow of blood for a full blown nose bleed. Applying a cold compress to the nose and the back of the neck helps as well. This would help the small capillaries in the nose too.

Why is my nose piercing bleeding?

The infection of the nose while it has been pierced can be caused by a number of reasons such as the entry of pathogens, namely, bacteria and fungi into the freshly pierced part of the nose. It can also be triggered in case of one wearing very tight jewelry or having been undergone nose piercing with the help of a nose piercing gun. It may lead to nose piercing staph infection. The improper and unhygienic ways of using the nose piercing gun with non-sterilized nose piercing needles may lead to the transmission of even deadly diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis C. Besides, unhygienic ways of living may also be the reason behind nose piercing infections.  Nose Piercing Healing The time taken for nose piercing healing may extend from 15 days to over a month depending on the care and the aftercare measures that needs to be followed after getting your nose pierced. The nose piercing healing time is actually extended in case of the occurrence of nose piercing infections or other complications associated with it. However, if one sincerely abides by the nose piercing care instructions that have been given above, it would ensure the fast healing of the pierced area without causing much pain and agony.Nose Piercing Aftercare and Care The pierced area must be thoroughly but lightly cleaned everyday for at least twice a day with sterile cotton swabs dipped in lukewarm water. But infected nose piercings can be treated only with the help of antiseptic soaps or lotions.  One must also remove any crusty formation on the nose piercing ring with the help of cotton swabs. When sleeping, make sure you do not sleep on the side of nose piercing. Ensure you only use clean nose jewelry.  One needs to be careful while taking a bath as any kind of ignorance may hurt the infected wound and cause the pierced area to bleed and pain.  Strong substances such as tea tree oil, alcohol, betadine, hydrogen peroxide and methylated spirits must not be used on the pierced or infected area as it may promote the development of nose piercing scars or lumps. It may lead to a burning sensation and cause great irritation on the affected area.

My nose piercing started bleeding, can you explain why?

so i got my nose piercing two and a half days ago, and all went fine except A LOT of pain and just a little bleeding, which the piercer told me was normal. when i cleaned it today, a couple times it made its way a little out. not near completely but just a tiny bit more out. i was like "okay" but then i just popped it in and left it. so tonight i went to clean it, and it didnt pop out at all. but it started bleeding JUST A TINY BIT. so i continued to clean it and it didnt bleed anymore. im just worried about infections and the stud thing falling out. i clean it 3-4 times a day, and twice a day with sea salt. its not getting irratated at all. also! it does seem a little loose, like it could fall out. is this normal?
THANK YOU <3

Second ear piercing still bleeding after almost 3 mos.?

You're not taking proper care of the piercings and they're still healing.

Firstly, i'm sure you're using a terrible piercing "cleaner" product from a store like Claire's? Please stop immediately and use saline soaks instead (1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of pure sea salt diluted in 8 oz. of warm distilled/bottled water, 2-3x a day for 5-10 minutes).

Secondly, you should NOT be messing with the jewelry-- i don't care what some amateur "piercer" at Claire's told you, any actual professional piercer knows that you do NOT mess/touch/play with the jewelry. It is absolutely awful for the piercing and will only do bad. Your body will NOT grow into the jewelry, either.

Thirdly, please just leave the jewelry in until the bleeding and lymph secretions/crusties stop. Constantly removing the jewelry with further agitate the wound, prolong healing time and increase your chances of infection. If you have a butterfly backing, i also suggest you get a bioplast backing as butterfly backings harbor a LOT of harmful and bad bacteria.

Hope this helps!

it's incredibly rare for earlobe piercings to reject

bleeding isn't a sign of infection. An extremely swollen piercing that's radiating heat, is in significant pain that is also secreting thick/foul smelling pus that's yellow/green in color all indicate infection.

Also, stainless steel contains nickel as well so titanium or bioplast would be the best for someone with a nickel allergy
