I Keep Deleting Favorites In Yahoo And They Just Reappear The Next Time I Log On. Whats Wrong

Why do files keep reappearing after I've deleted them?

You know, I had the exact same problem when I installed my Spyware Sweeper program on my external hard drive. After uninstalling it, it still showed up as being in my system. When I would try to delete it, it would just keep coming back. I have a strong feeling it has to do with the external hard drive coming into play. Did you copy and paste the files or did you move them? I have a feeling that you moved them, and that is why the issue is occurring. As far as getting the folder to stop coming back, I think you would have to take it off of the external drive and wipe the drive clean, as in reformat it.

How do you keep deleted contacts from reappearing? I delete them then log back in and there are back?

Sounds like there is a problem with your software.

1) First of all, try finding the Yahoo! Messenger Install icon that was created when you first downloaded the program. If you don't know where it is, then you can try finding it by clicking the "Start" button and looking in the lower right area of the "Start Menu." You will see a "Search" icon. Click it then click the "All Files and Folders" arrow in the "What Do You Want To Search For" area, on the left side of the dialog box. Type "Yahoo! Messenger" in the "Search Criteria Box." Some files should appear in the results area. Click on whatever looks like the Yahoo! Messenger Install software. Maybe you will find it right away. Maybe it will take you a few attempts.

Once you open up the installer, then you might see it asking you if you want to "Install" or if you want to "Repair." Select the repair and proceed according to the instructions you are given.

2) If you can't do this, try clicking on you "My Computer" shortcut and going to the "Add / Remove Programs" option that appears on the upper left side of the screen. Find your Yahoo! Messenger program in the "Add / Remove Programs" dialog box, click onto it, and click the remove button.

After that, you should either find the Yahoo! Messenger Installer and re-install the program or you should go back to the Yahoo! website and download the program all over again.

3) If none of these work, then the only thing I can suggest is that you contact Yahoo! Customer Service. You can search for a solution yourself at:

http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/contactus...

but by this time I suggest that you call their number instead:

(800) 318-0783

or if they can't help, then try this one:

(866) 562-7219 .

Well, that's it... hope one of these solutions does the job for you.

Take care ... ;-)

Deleted weather cities-they keep reappearing!?

I have followed all of the "suggestions" and have properly deleted and then saved my new cities, and the first time you refresh everything is as it should be. The next time I reboot the old cities reappear along with the new ones. I've emailed tech support (a few months ago) and they acknowledged this is an issue but stated it would be fixed by January. It's MARCH and still a problem-anyone have a solution that works for more than a single laptop session??

Every time I log-on, 5 Yahoo tabs appear. How do I permanently delete these excessive tabs?

Start with deleting your files, your cookies, and your history. In Tools select 'Internet Options' - under Browsing History, select 'delete' - only delete temp files, cookies and history. Then open each tab one at a time - "close" them with the appropriate button. Re-boot your computer. It should re-set itself.

You also have a lot of history on your hard drive. You want to delete it frequently also. It's on the 'Start' menu - click on My Computer - RIGHT click on your 'C' drive - left click on 'properties' - click on "disc clean-up". That disc should be CLEAN. If you have lots of data stored there, it's "remembering" what your computer should be doing. You will also find that your computer will be faster and performs better.

These 'clean up' tips, plus a regular spyware/anti-virus scan will keep you running smoothly.

I can not find my favorites list on my yahoo home page?

if you mean that u r not anymore directed to yahoo it's another thing.

Microsoft OneDrive allows you to selectively sync files and folders at the device level so you can keep files in OneDrive without keeping them on physical storage on each of your personal devices.Step 1: Go to the right side of the taskbar, right-click the cloud-shaped OneDrive icon, and then select Settings. (You may have to select the Show hidden icons arrow to see the OneDrive icon.)Step 2: Select Choose folders.Step 3: Clear the check boxes for any folders you don’t need offline, and then select OK.Those folders won’t show up in File Explorer anymore, but they’ll still be online at OneDrive.com.[1] [2]Footnotes[1] Keep fewer OneDrive files on your PC - Windows Help -[2] Choose which OneDrive folders to sync to your computer

Assuming this is true, it is likely because Yahoo has crappy programmers who don’t code agnostically very well. I have seen commercial sites in the past that were so incompetently coded that no browser seemed to fully support them. Often these sites have roots reaching back to the era when Microsoft tried to wrest control of the Internet away from the open source community. We are still paying for Microsoft’s attempt at totalitarian control.More likely though you have some sort of system problem specific to your machine. If Chrome did not support Yahoo, it would likely not have risen to become the most popular browser.I have seen loops that are resolved on clearing cookies. Browser sometimes post false errors suggestive of a server side source. Error messages are not necessarily true. Try closing the tab and typing in the “front door” address without the long post “.com” tail. This solves many issues. Your browser may have captured an address that is no longer compatible with the present state of the site. This may be captured in a bookmark, a back button, or even auto-complete.Some problems require a reboot. Never take a problem to others before rebooting! The problems curable with a reboot are beyond counting.

Where does Chrome keep its bookmarks?

i think it is go to tools (on the right) and check the 'Always show the bookmark
