What it might be is your e-mail SPAM filter. Go into your e-mail security settings and make sure that it doesn't block any e-mail addresses. Also, it might be something as simple as the FanFiction database has lost your e-mail verification. Go into your profile as if you're going to change your e-mail address, but enter the same e-mail address again. it should send you a verification e-mail, and once you click the link, it will refresh the server, hopefully solving your problem. Did you try changing your e-mail on your account page? It should send you a confirmation e-mail, which has a link you need to click to verify your account change. And yes, changing your user name will effect it. I changed mine a few months ago, and I had to go in and manually change and update my account information (homepage, password, etc). Try that.

Don't mess around, and it's not a great idea to speak to the general public about this. There are several reasons that the .mil mail services require you to have a special certificate. Speak to the techs that are authorized to deal with this. They may not all be geniuses, but you won't get the heat that you would if you accidentally make something public. Just the acronyms and certificate name convention is not info that the public generally knows. The fact you are using a browser-based email (Chrome works..) , and not a specific email client ( mac mail, outlook, thunderbird...) is more info you have given away. If you have a special clearance, especially if you are near your term to be re-classed or re-certified to keep this clearance.. this could even be a test to see if you follow the correct protocols. There are many other reasons why you could be selected, or just caught up in a random sweep in testing security protocols, too. ( check "operation Robin Sage" link) Get the appropriate tech people involved.. ask for help. IF they can't quickly fix it, then tell your immediate CO and any others who you may need to see email from that you are having problems at home (?) ; tell them you have reported it to your appropriate technical services dept., and what they told you about when they can help. Arrange alternate communication for email they expect you to see in your off hours, and make sure you check your email before you leave work every day.
Emails won't delete in yahoo mail, they keep reappearing in my inbox?
I click on an email and then click on delete. Presto, gone. And then it's back in my inbox. sometimes up to five times. I click on trash and click to empty it, sometimes the trash empties and sometimes it doesn't. If the trash empties, it seems to take the email permanently, but it shouldn't come back in the first place when I initially delete it. I'm using Firefox, if that makes a difference.

If you haven't given an alternative email, haven't configured security questions, and haven't provided a mobile number that is current, then thats 3 strikes. I can't advise you if you have neither of those 3 safeguards set. Try contacting Yahoo support, but your chances of regaining access don't look good.
