Why do people think dogs are garbage disposals?
I totally understand what your saying. My sister works at an emergency vet clinic and boy the things people feed their dogs... its shocking how much danger they put their animals in, intentionally or not intentionally! Most dogs just gobble up any food-like item that comes their way (my dog being an extreme case) so people think the dog can tolerate any food. However its definitely become an unhealthy misconception. However, I doubt that those people meant anything by it when they suggested you feed it to your dog. I'm sure lots of them are ignorant about what is good and not good to feed a pet. But, I can also imagine if in a restaurant setting and you screw up someone's food order (and I definitely have experienced this, having been a waitress for over 3 years) you want to say anything you can to keep the situation light and keep the customer from getting too angry. Try not to let your strong beliefs and passions alienate people so harshly when they do something that you find ignorant-- channel your energy into educating them. Maybe you could have looked them in the eye and said courteously and sincerely (along the lines of), "Actually, that sort of food is very bad for your dogs! Even though its meat there are lots of ingredients in this burger that could make a dog very sick. Just thought I'd let you know so your own pup doesnt get sick!" I mean you dont have to make it a long spiel or anything, just try to get the point across in that small moment you have. Getting angry doesnt do much. People will listen to someone who sounds intelligent and is willing to share what they know in an open and sincere manner. Hope this helped!

Did they take the dog while it was running around off the yard? (Reported on Time Magazines website) The same Clinton who had Osama Bin Laden in his sights but told intelligence not to go through with the plan on capturing him? Didn't the Democrats sanction the war in Iraq and now lie about that too? Clinton's own intelligence told him about a possibility of attack on our soil utilizing our own airliners, but he continued to undermine the intelligence agencies and emasculate the military. And you wonder if he, and the Dems would lie about anything else?
