Have you ever been stung by a scorpion?
I was stung twice in relatively quick succession by a medium-sized (~5 cm) scorpion in rural Nicaragua.The first time, I didn't know what it was. I felt a sudden sharp pain in my leg, as if poked hard by a needle. I jumped up and tried to get away from whatever was causing it. I didn't see anything, so I went about my business. I figured it was some kind of mosquito or fly. There are a lot of insects there that I was unfamiliar with that can cause you all sorts of problems. A few minutes later, I felt it again on the same leg, and this time saw the scorpion running away. I killed it and was immediately aware that this was probably not so good. The father of my host family had recently been stung on the hand, and his entire arm was visibly swelled for a week. I started walking down the road to get some benadryl from someone I knew would have it. This was about half a mile away through dense sugarcane fields. On the way home, I started feeling strange. My lips and tongue began tingling, which was pretty worrying, but this did not get worse. I lay down in a hammock to see what would happen. A little while later, I tried to stand up, but my leg was totally numb and I couldn't control it very well. I had to lean on something for support. I stumbled to bed to lie down for real. A couple hours later, some people who had been expecting me came to look for me, and I was still unable to stand very well, but that was my main symptom. Later that afternoon, it passed and there were no lasting effects. That was interesting.
Can I break my lease if my apartment is infested with scorpions??
I would call an attorney or a legal aid center in your state since each state has different laws. However, I know in Louisiana/Florida/Georgia that your lease has already been broken by your landlord for failing to provide you a safe environment. I would first send a certified letter (paper trail is extremely important here) specifically detailing the problem, the duration, what effects they have had on you, copies of you medical bills and maybe something from your doc stating scorpion bite, take pictures of the scorpions in your apartment. Make sure that you send that out with return receipt. Once you have collected as much documentation of the problem at that point I would pursue legal advise.
How to get rid of fear of scorpions?
People fear what they don't understand or what can harm them. My advice to you is learn about scorpions learn to sight ID them. Learn which ones can kill you and which can't. You'll be amazed to find out that scorpions can only deliver a bad sting and that's about it. As for the insomnia that might be a genetic issue and might need sleeping pills.
I found a scorpion in my room today. Will it sting me while I'm sleeping?
Yesterday I got my shoes wet, so for the night i let them set in front of the heater in my bedroom. I didn't wear them to school so when I came home I felt if they were wet then I reached inside and when I pulled my hand out a scorpion was on my hand. I've never touched a scorpion so I naturally freaked out and shook my hand. My room is messy, there are lots of towels and some clothes on the floor so I have no idea where It went. I've avoided my room all day now and I really don't want to sleep on the couch. I checked my bed, the covers, the side of my bed which is against an outside wall, and my pillows. I didn't see it. But I'm afraid that it will detect my movement at night. Do you think it will stay away from me because I'm large? I know it wont see me but maybe it will feel my large vibrations and leave me alone. I live in Georgia, Usa so i know the sting wont be fatal.
How to deal w/Scorpio's jealousy?
Haha, I just got out of this situation with my best friend a few months ago. The embarrassing thing to admit, though, is that I'm the Scorpio who freaked out about the other girl. And thanks to your question, I feel even more silly about it. I mean, it's over and passed and we're alright... But yeah... Lol. Silly me. Anyway, first off, she's jealous because she's insecure. That's why she's clingy and hard to get off the phone with. She wouldn't have flipped like that if she didn't think you were a great guy that she just might lose. She knows what a great guy you are. Of course, you don't sound like you don't want to end it, but we Scorpios aren't nearly as confident in relationships as everyone else. We're constantly suspicious and worried, and I feel for people who put up with us, because it takes a lot of patience. Kudos to you, lol! Now, to deal with that jealousy, you have let her know you care and you need to reassure that she's the one for you. Don't mention the other girl, just let her know that you care about her and only for her. Let her know that there's nothing she needs to worry about because she'll never lose you, assuming you're thinking the same thing. My guy gave me a few days to boil and seethe, but the whole time, I was wishing he would call or text me and when he finally did, it still took some pestering to get me to calm down. It took a lot of reassurance over the stupidest thing. It's a pain, but you have to be willing to be patient with a Scorpio. You have to constantly reassure her that she's the only one for you and refrain from mentioning other women. Personally, I understand that people have friends and lives, and I'm okay with that. But, I still get jealous and paranoid whenever one of my friends picks someone over me.
Scorpion in my house...Georgia..Help!?
I dont know where he came from but We found him in the Kitchen. I was just rearanginging 2-liter bottles of Pepsi between the wall and my Fridge (the pepsi's fit there) and My daughter was in the other room Re-folding a blanket that we usually keep in the closet -one she had used a few nights before...So I dont know if it came from the blanket or moving the bottles....see my daughter came into the kitchen just after folding the blanket so what if it was on her and fell off onto the kitchen floor when she had walked in the kitchen. #1 if it bit either of us would we know it? (also he looked as if he was dying -unless he's playing dead -I put a clear cup over him and moved it back and forth causing him to become on his back -he moved very slow and then he went limp -prior to that he was prepped to kill claws out and tail ready) #2 -if we got bit would it kill us #3 -if theres one is there more? #4 -how do I dispose of it -if hes playing dead? #5 -How do I know if its poisonous -I looked all over the internet and havent really found one like it...hes very small -a smidge longer than a dime, Very dark on his back almost black, underside is light brown.
How to make a scorpio man less controlling? its too much! talking doesn't help :(?
My husband is a scorpio, and i'm a pisces. we got into a fight where i disrespected him with words because of his controlling habits. i blame myself for being too nice and easy going because thats what he always expects from me, and it gives him room to be more aggressive and controlling. when fights like this happen, he wants to be left alone. and i mean LEFT alone for days without speaking or sleeping in the same bed. its like we both live in two separate homes without recognizing each others' existence and it makes me so sad because we dearly love each other, but it's always games with him.. i forgot to mention that he took away my phone and when i asked for it, he would threaten to break it. it's like there's no way out with him. he controls everything too much and i feel like he abuses his power over me. im happy with him being the boss in the relationship but i hate when it gets to that level where he goes too far and i feel helpless. i apologized a few times, but he's trying to prove a point. its been a week, and it'll go on for more. i usually give in by repeatedly asking to fix things. but this time, i want to put an end to that because it's not fair that everytime i mess up we have to go though this again. its torture. i also forgot to mention that i can't leave the house?! and he's welcome to do that anytime he pleases without telling me where he goes. im too scared to go against him, cus he might take something else of mine or break something. help :(

In my experience virgo's don't show their emotion too much, and think that it's good that way, but to a scorpio it's not. i think that's it's a scorpio thing, but it's also because you're not understanding him well enough. he's going to be very possessive and he'll want to know all about what you're doing, this is mostly because scorpio's have intense, deep emotions, and because of those feelings, scorpio's have a chance of getting much more hurt than other signs. they must be possessive to ensure that their fragile emotions wont be hurt. he probably just loves you a lot an is afraid of losing you. what i have found is that communication is really a key factor in the relationship. you have to make sure you say what's on your mind, what's bothering you, and encourage him to do the same. talk about problems, your feelings, but dont be accusing. not "you make me feel..." but, "i feel...". scorpios need reassurance, i know that you may think things are good, but he's worried he'll be hurt, so just do some nice things to show you're thinking of him. send him letters in the mail, or his favorite sweets or something. you dont have to go out of your way, just little items to remind him that you're thinking about him all the time even when you're apart. if he feels secure in the relationship and in your feelings, he wont act that way. you've gotta come up with ways to show him this if you want to be together. read up on more astrology for scorpios: http://songsdomain.tripod.com/zodiac/index.html
