My Yahoo Plus e-mail was also deactivated without my permission. After several tries to get a live person on the phone, I was finally able to get an agent who confirmed that I was NOT hacked, but that this is a technical issue and their higher level support engineers are working on the problem. I asked how or when would I know if they can fix the problem and the answer was that there is no phone # to call...just wait since they will possibly send an e-mail to me if the issue is solved. I can't believe a communications company like YAHOO has such poor communication and customer service. I hope I get my e-mails back or I am definitely going to invest considerable time spreading the word in the media about my experience.

I changed my password on my email account. My email is synced in my Blackberry Q10 phone. I removed/deleted my yahoo account there then added it again with the new password but it just kept on saying "At this time your email account can't be added. Please try again later. I've been trying almost every hour for 36hrs now and still the same. I contacted my network provider and talked to their technical support team and they said they can't help me because the problem is with the Yahoo server. That maybe it just hasn't refreshed with my new password. They said they can't help me because the error message is just saying for me to try later. I am beyond frustrated now. I tried adding my other Yahoo email account but I still get the same message. I tried adding my Gmail account and it has no problems which made me think the problem is only with Yahoo. What can I do?

I can't advise you if you have neither of those 3 safeguards set. Try contacting Yahoo support, but your chances of regaining access don't look good.
