I M In Uk Muslim. Moved Here Not Too Long Ago. I Feel That I M Losing Faith.

Am I still a Muslim if I don't believe and agree with Islam's teaching? I still believe in one God though. Is it an apostasy?

Sir, by definition, you are not a muslim if you dont follow the 5 pillars and declare Muhammed as the messenger Allah. You said you "don't believe  and  agree with islam's  teachings." It is not possible to believe in one  part of islam and disbelieve in another at the same time because they are all connected. The encyclopedia's definition states a  Muslim (Arabic, 'one who submits') is a Follower or believer in Islam. Based on your confessions, it is not possible to follow the  basic tenets of Islam if you "don't believe and agree with Islam's teaching"I have seen few answers here by muslims who state "you are still muslim" but they need to confirm this answer by providing quranic scriptures that proves " if I don't believe and agree with Islam's teaching" I am still a muslim. Dear muslims: Where in the Quran or Hadith does it state that "one who does NOT submit" is still a muslim? Pray tell. Thanks.Dear Sir/OP: I think because you grew up in muslim background your concept of wrong and right is still influenced by Islam.  Your decision making and difference between moral and immoral is still influenced by your islamic upbringing. You can continue to follow what you believe in and live a life that is righteous, without losing faith in God. There is nothing wrong about this. Because you have not converted to another religion, chosen a secular life, or completely reject everything in Islam, it is not apostasy. According to Islam, I have committed apostasy. I grew up in a muslim home but I don't believe in Muhammed's teachings and some other Islamic teachings. I do believe in God and I do believe in the Last Day and heaven and hell. I believe in the angels and the demons and Satan. I still believe I should not worship idols, kill, cheat, lie, disrespect my parents. But I don't follow the 5 pillars. I follow a different religion which makes me an apostate. Therefore: According to islam, one who submits is a muslim, but if you haven't converted to another religion it is not apostasy. Your family or any muslim are not 'islamically justified' to punish you because... al baqara 256 - "there is no compulsion in the religion"

Overprotective Muslim Father?

Hi Raiden. I feel for you, I really do. I have seen a lot of friends go through this very same thing. My parents can be quite strict as well (their not muslim though) but not anywhere close to what you describe. Mine were more strict because they were just overprotective and not because they were religion-crazy.

I think the only thing you can unfortunately do is try and hang in there. I don't want to get you into trouble and such by suggesting sneaking out and stuff because if you're caught it'll only make things so much more worse for you and possibly your mum as well. Don't let him break you though. Do you not have any friends who might be sympathetic to your circumstances who you might be able to stay with? That might be one way out of this but then you have to also remember that if you were to move into a friends, how long would you be able to stay there and what happens when you have to eventually move back? The problem here is if you and your mum are living at his place you've not much of a choice but to go by his rules. Otherwise he can just kick you and your mum out which would leave you both in an even worse situation. So what you believe is your mum being spineless could just be your mum trying her hardest to keep a roof over your head.

Is there not anywhere at all where you and your mum would be able to stay instead? It seems you and your mum are not happy there anyway so maybe there is some place where your mum and you are able to go to for shelter?

Anyone annoyed by the rising amount of muslims in England?

Okay..I'm pretty sure i will get labelled as racist for saying this;
But do any other British people feel a little uneasy because of the rising ammounts of muslims in the country?

But seriously, i am not being racist..It just seems that in some places i can go and not see one white person. This is in a country which is supposed to be white-christian majority.

And it annoys me the ammount of hate crimes commited against white British people carried out by muslims, but this never gets publicised. Race related crimes only ever get attention in the media if it is aggainst muslims, and i know that people are going to say things like ''But there is much more hate crimes commited against muslims" - Not true, if you look at the government statistics for 2009, the number of ethnic to white hate crimes compared to white to ethnic is 40:1..

And the white British are the racist ones? I dont think so..

But yeah, i got carried away..

So anyways. Anyone else annoyed by it?

Muslim women, to you ever feel invisible when wearing hijab?

Sister, do not expect your rewards in this world as you will be rewarded by Allah in the other world inshallah. did you revert for the sake of this world? NO.. you did that to please Allah and that you found the right path. You should not care about others at all. If you do not find that attraction anymore, I can understand how you might be feeling but don't you feel the happiness from inside that how happy Allah and his messenger is because of you wearing hijab? Allah knows your intentions well...if you are worried about the people, then I'm afraid you would not be rewarded the way you should, because Allah knows your intentions dear.

It really is good if less people are getting attracted to you. Not many muslims are pure muslims who says salam always or many of them might not be aware of the benefits of saying Salam or many of them might not be muslim at all. Ignore them. When you know that the opposite person is muslim, you say salam first and you will be rewarded for it inshallah.

Allah knows you well and you shall only be concerned about following the right path and pleasing Allah and following the teachings of Muhammad (p.b.u.h.)

All the best.

Rest Allah knows the best~!

Why are there so many Muslims in London?

Because The Establishment opened the flood gates decades ago and brain washed the native population into thinking it was racist to object. London is no longer really part of England.

Edit; I apologise for the childish and politically correct, brain washed answers of my so called country men.

Help I'm muslim but I really want to lose my virginity?

I am 20 year old girl turning 21 in like 4 months and I am still a virgin. I got offered so many times but I stayed a virgin because of my religion and also because I know how muslim men are. I'm planning to marry a muslim man in the future and I don't want him to leave me because it's looked down upon in Islam. A women always has to stay a virgin it's a big deal and a bonus. My parents constanly keep reminding me to keep my virginity and they make me feel guilty if I lose it. But I feel like I'm missing out and like I'm a loser. I feel like what if I die tomorow? I never know my time and Ive always wanted to lose it. It's what I've always thought about. It also gets me mad because most of these muslim guys aren't virgins themselves but they wanna judge a women, it really pisses me off. All my friends are not Virgins and It makes me feel like there is something wrong with me. I want experience and get it over with. What should I do?

Is Islam losing more followers than any other belief?

Mohammed proves how nasty islam is.

Islam is not the fastest growing religion - it is the biggest lie they love to tell. Mostly it is to do with birth rates. With Amercian converts 75% abandon it within 3 years (Scholars admit that herehttp://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=v8EC8-aVlr... Did you know that actually there are only 1.8 million Muslims in the US – that is 0.6% of the population and not the millions that they claim. It is mostly due to the birth rates not conversions that it is growing. So anyone saying it is the fastest growing religion is a liar.

Pope Benedict's choice to publicly baptize the most prominent Muslim in Italy, Egyptian-born Magdi Allam, highlights a quiet worldwide exodus from Islam. In recent years, millions have moved on. With this high-profile action, Pope Benedict demonstratively blesses this massive conversion from the highest levels of the Church. - http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/muslims-lea... -andhttp://patdollard.com/2008/04/muslims-le... all good news!

Why is there the global shortage of imams and mullahs? It's now happening in almost every country in the world. Do ordinary Muslims wonder at this? Do they know what is exactly going on? Do they know the REAL reasons why so many Muslim clerics are leaving Islam?

Are the imams' salaries poor? Are the mosques underfunded? Are there not enough Muslims attending mosques anymore? These are all just the pretexts to cover up the fact that Muslim clerics are leaving Islam.

I'm an atheist in a muslim family...?

I'm a 17-year old boy, who lives in Denmark and I was basically born into this extremely religious muslim family. I've been slowly losing my faith for a year or so, but decided to give up my faith a few months ago, because I don't believe in the religion anymore and as you may know through the title, I no longer believe in the existence of God. When I started questioning various rules and stuff in Islam, my parents were the first I ran to, and they simply answer "Don't question God's work" or "That's just the way it is". This obviously didn't help at all, and I quit praying cause I always felt that I was talking to myself. Everytime my parents asked if I've prayed, and I just answer yes, and they believe me. I'm forced to go to mosque every friday, to arabic lessons once a week, and to not eat or drink anything every ramadan. Anyways, I'm getting f**king tired of it. My parents are also overly protective, and they don't let me go outside very much, and I hate being home, because, I don't feel "at home". My parents and I aren't very good friends, there is a longer story to that incl. physical and verbal abuse. I feel that they have brainwashed me when I was a child.
They used fear to make me believe.

I'm 100% that my parents won't accept that I've become an atheist, and they'll most likely throw me out of the home. I have no problem disappointing them, so for now I'm just taking advantage of the materialistic needs (money, food etc)

What should I do?
