Does A Ethernet Cable Come With The Xbox360?

Need help with my laptop. My ethernet cable won't stay in.?

the little bit of plastic that the cord clicks into has broken off.

if you look at the plug on the end of the cat5 cable, you will see a little piece of plastic that is hinged on the plug... that piece of the plug is supposed to click into place behind the little piece of plastic that is missing from the port on your computer.

you could try the suggestion of inserting a piece of paper into the port, to 'wedge' the plug into place, but you have to make sure it doesn't interfere with the wires inside the port.

alternativly, you could wedge a small screw, or something in between the plug and the hinged part of the plug, once it has been inserted into the port... this will force the locking mechanism in place.

Ethernet Cable Port On Wall Smaller Than One On Xbox...?

In my apartment, there's a port on the wall for me to plug my ethernet cable into. This ethernet cable is the perfect size to fit into something such as my Xbox One, but it is slightly too big to fit into the port. Is there an older ethernet cable with a smaller head somebody knows of?

Can I connect a range extender to my router through ethernet cable?

Yes, but technically you will be creating an(other) access point to your network, not a range extension, so you’ll need an access point (or a WIFI router with disabled DHCP and NAT services, and in this case: Do not use the WAN port, but one of the Ethernet ports to link to the main router).A range extender retransmits WIFI signals from close by devices to an access point. An access point can be seen as a WIFI to Ethernet bridge. The new access point can have the same SSID as your primary WIFI access point, so you can travel from area to area without losing connections.

Ethernet splitter not working?

Colinc is right, there is no such thing as a ethernet splitter...
there are "splitters" that give two connections, but you can only power on on device at a time. Ethernet CAT5 is point to point wiring, you cannot split it to two different devices. Those splitters are more for people who have only one device powered on at a time, and don't want to move the cable. It has nothing to do with proper ethernet signal/Internet splitting... The "splitter" is a simple wire splitter, the proper item is an ethernet switch or hub, that has proper point to point wiring and signalling...

Ethernet "splitters" do NOT work properly, don't ever use one....

I Need help with my WIGO wireless broadband network?

Use the Internet Connection Sharing Feature on the Laptop.

Plug the laptop into the LAn or even use the wireless adapter as the Gateway and set the PC's TCP/Ip properties to use the PC's wireless or wired adapter as its gateway. If you use the help feature on the laptop and type in ICS it guides you through the setup..It's really simple but the wizard does by default change the IP address on the gateway machine so make sure you go in and change it back tto an IP that is on the same subnet as your WAN router.
