How does Gathering Blue relate to the Giver? PLZ!!!!?
In both books anyone in the communities who has an imperfection is gotten rid of. Anyone who is different is treated like they are whether it's with alot of respect or alot of discrimination. On the outside the communities seem like complete opposites but they aren't. And the main characters do meet at the end of the third book (Messenger). Also the main characters have special gifts. Jonas(Giver) can see beyond and Kira(Gathering Blue) sees things through her weaving. Take a good look at characters and settings in the books for more details. There is alot more to it than what I said but that's the basics of it.
What is the theme of the book gathering blue?
I think the theme is about acceptance. Supposedly "imperfect" people aren't suppose to be able to be who ever they want to be but in reality can be and can change society for the best. And they are also a necessity to society, like how the main character is needed for the making of the robe and later on to make her history.
Who is your favorite Marvel Comics character and why?
That’s actually pretty easy.The Punisher, aka Frank Castle.Ironically I consider him my favorite because he provides an interesting foil to my favorite DC Comics character, Batman.Now, would I consider Frank to be a “good man”? No, frankly I wouldn’t, but rather I would consider him a flawed man struggling to grapple with everything that has happened to him in his life, and resorts to using his set of specialized skills to channel his emotions into something concrete and arguably constructive.He also provides a view into one of the core morals that seems to almost never get tested enough; whether it is ever justified to kill, especially if the victim is a villain with the bodies of hundreds, thousands, possibly tens of thousands on their hands.At least in Marvel, the majority of them have “Will not kill under any circumstances” policy. It’s a black and white line that the overwhelming majority of the time is never crossed. The Punisher forces them to respond to this policy in a stark and psychologically grueling way.Is killing ever justified? Is killing a major villain who already admits to having killed innocents and intending to kill even more innocents justifiable? And if need be, does that extend to annihilating a villians entire criminal enterprise and assets to make sure they are unable to continue hurting others?Frankly (pun not intended), it is an interesting divergence to see the Punisher have a reverse view of most other major “good guys” in the Marvel franchise, and is willing to cross lines and societal norms that force others to confront the fact that even if his methods are morally questionable, even outright illegal or in some cases wrong, what they can’t argue is that he does stop criminals, in most cases in a permanent fashion.I will also admit my interest in him was renewed by the Netflix series Daredevil and The Punisher. Both provided insights into Frank Castle as a man, what motivates him, what haunts him, his strengths, his flaws, and expanding his character to being far more than just a ruthless gunman that guns down anyone he considers to be criminal.
What is the rising action action, climax, and falling action in the Book of Ruth?
The book isn't that long. Four chapters. That's why you won't find sparknotes on it. Rising action: Two widows, Naomi and her daughter-in-law, return from famine-stricken Moab to Israel, where they can only be helped out of poverty by a kinsman redeemer. The closest candidate doesn't love Ruth, the daughter-in-law, but Boaz, the second-closest redeemer, does. Which works out great, because Ruth loves Boaz. Climax: Boaz confronts the first redeemer about whether or not he'll help Ruth. He refuses, so Boaz arranges to have the responsibility of kinsman redeemer transferred to him. Falling action/conclusion: Boaz and Ruth get married and have a baby, who becomes the grandfather of king David.
