I Need A Phone And Im A Teenager

I'm 15 and still don't have a phone. Are there other teenagers my age who still don't have a phone?

This question is wide open for some fun!So, for clarification purposes, let’s define what is meant by phone.Do you mean one of these bad boys?Or perhaps, this:Am I getting closer?Ok, so you probably meant something more like this::DNow that we’ve settled that little matter, let’s address the question.Yes, there are teens, many of them, throughout the world that do not have phones of any sort. Of course, some don’t even have nice clean running water or a regular food source but we’re not here to discuss that!My son is a teen, albeit 13. He doesn’t have a phone. Yet. And honestly, I haven’t decided what criteria will be applied yet to determine whether or not he will be able to get one. But here are somethings that I will definitely consider when he makes his case.Has he demonstrated the level of responsibility to know that it’s a tool to be used in appropriate ways? This includes knowing when to turn off the phone at night so that he can get enough rest to be successful at school, because a solid education is more important for his long term success than any electronic device, including social life.Does he have the money to pay for the phone himself as well as pay for his monthly usage? I’ve found in life that people tend to take care of things that they purchase for themselves. If he buys the phone and it breaks, he knows that he has to pay to fix or replace it. He may be able to be part of a family plan for minutes and data but he should expect to help pay for it in some way.As of now, those are the two main criteria that I’ll be applying. Other may develop depending on how things go. Sadly, parents don’t get an exclusive manual for each child with an associated rule book to guarantee success. So, we have to try things out, adapt and change what doesn’t achieve the desired outcomes. If you want a phone, you can likely have one, but you’re going to need to work out those details with your parents or guardians. Demonstrate how you are responsible, work to earn money to buy the phone you want, determine how much money you will need each month to pay for the minutes and data you want. Most parents are reasonable and if you do those things, that should go a long way toward them giving you the green light to get a phone.Best wishes in obtaining your phone…One last picture for the road… I bet your parents would let you get one of these. :p

Do teenagers still have phone sex?

i Don't think so but if you wanna we can

Why does every teenager have an iPhone?

So I am a freshman in high school, and almost every student at my school has an iPhone. The plan and phone together costs $1020! Why would parents spend that much money on something their kids don't need? It's ridiculous. When I walk from class to class I see mostly freshmen and sophomores that have iPhones. Not even as many SENIORS have them! So I guess I'm just wondering why parents spend that much money for something that could be replaced with something that costs around $200 instead. What's your opinion on this?

How do teenagers afford these crazy expensive phones and computers these days?

Crazy Expensive? Where?Lets assume by “crazy expensive phones and computers” you mean:A brand new iphone 7 at $800 (as it is one of the more expensive phones)A brand new MacBook pro at $1500 (as Mac are more expensive computers)Starting with the phone, or anything actually, remember that something called financing exists, and it allows us to acquire things we cannot afford or have money for in the moment. There is also plans from phone companies such as Verizon & T-Mobile that give you this phone FREE if you sign a contract for 2 years. There is also something called parents. Why am I saying this? most of the teens who own their iPhone either have it because:Financed it and are paying for it (or their parents are)their parents bought it for themthey signed up for a cell phone plan / contract, that their parents are most likely paying. Now, lets account the ones that actually bought it and paid it upfront. Let’s look at it from a realistic perspective:$800 for an iPhone. an iPhone is a portable computer and phone with a lifespan of 1–4 years (depending on how it’s treated) that can be reliably sold for 50% of its worth after the next 1 or 2 come out. It is also a multipurpose tool and has thousands of uses, from a calculator to a compass to a camera. I actually think if you counted the amount of features the iPhone has and added 1 cent per feature, it would come out to more than $800 :)$800 doesn’t seem costy at all. It provides means to communicate. It actually does enough things that make it ok for people in society to not have a computer anymore. As I'm writing this, I keep thinking of reasons why it should cost more…Now, $1600 for a MacBook Pro. I actually paid cash for my 2016 13-in retina and i’ll tell you why, from my perspective, and why its worth 10X more.it is not a laptop, it has near-supercomputer capabilities and allows me to have a portable office. Last year I went to Miami, Las Vegas, Colombia, & Arizona and this allowed me to stay on my work. It easily paid itself off entirely ($1600) within the first month / trip. It will also reliably last me until 2020, or more.I don’t see how $1000 or $2000 items are viewed as expensive, even for a teen, working part time in a 15/h job (decent job) will buy you this in a month.Just remember, teens have parents and parents have wallets.

I'm a teenager who wants to upgrade my phone. I mainly stick to Android. What model would you say is good for everyday use, but is still sorta modern (<2014)?

I recommend that you get a Nokia 6.1 or Nokia 7.1. They’re great phones. They’re built well, have a pure, stock Android interface, and are carrier unlocked (you can switch GSM carriers).I bought the Nokia 6.1 because I’m still used to the old 16:9 screen aspect ratio. the newer 18:9 screen aspect ratio still scares me, so that’s the only thing that held me back from buying the Nokia 7.1. And don’t forget the notch on the Nokia 7.1!The best thing about the Nokia phones is that they’re part of the Android One program, so you get Pixel-like software and security updates for 3+ years.Nokia 6.1 (5.5″ 16:9 screen, 3GB RAM/32GB storage, Android 8.1/Android 9/Android Q) Cost: US $229Nokia 7.1 (5.8″ 18:9 screen, 4GB RAM/64GB storage, Android 9/Android Q) Cost: US $349

What apps do teen girls have on their phones?

Oh, wow. I’m going to sound boring but whatever. I currently use:Instagram - elsaabernard is my user, I put my photography and nice photos of my friends/family/myself on there. I also use direct message with my friends often.Snapchat - Barely use it, only to talk to friends once in awhile. User is elsa_geneFacebook - I talk to extended family here. Once again, barely use it.YouTube - Preinstalled, but I thought I should mention it because I am addicted! I love learning new things, so I’m always watching something. Whether it be a documentary or some dumb challenge.Spotify - Better sound quality than YouTube, nice to listen to.CMSecurity - Makes your phone faster and keeps it secure.VSCOcam - Great for editing photograph and cropping photos.Insta Square Pic - Nice white background for Instagram photos.YayCam Retro - Makes your photos and videos look vintage-y and cool.PumpUp - I only use it for the workouts. Makes exercising easy. Builds custom cardio routines tailored for my body and skills.Ibotta - You get gift cards and other prizes for buying stuff, why not?I don’t have Quora on my phone because I like answering on my computer better. So yeah, this is basically what I use besides notes, alarm, calling, and messaging :)Edit: I forgot I also have Tropical Smoothie Rewards I use regularly, I go once a week!
