Would a 30 seconds to mars song be good to sing at a singing competition?
I LOVE 30 seconds to mars with a passion and it'd be cool to sing one of their songs for a talent competition, but are they appropriate enough? I'm a 15 year old girl lolz I like pop tunes but alternative is where my passion is and idk would The Kill be a good song to sing? I want to wow the judges OH what to do?!?!? lol help plz

Sorry i couldn't understand, is this a question for singing competition or dance competition? I'll first give answer for a dance competition.There's a lot and lots of out there to be choose from and it also depends on which type of dance form you are talking about. But if had to choose from one of my fav. That would be these one.Patriotic dance:- pagdi sambhal jatta ost. The legend of Bhagat Singh. ( bcoz I've seen anyone dancing on this track, so i think that will something fresh and also if you wanna merge another dance form with it, you can do that too. Other tracks i would look for..amm..-Vande Mataram (ost. ABCD 2) etc.Classical:--Kaahe ched (ost. Devdas) -Mohe rang do lal (ost. Bajirao mastani)- Man mohini teri ada(ost.Hum dil chuke sanam)- Mere dholna (ost. Bhool Bhulaiya) (especially for duet performance)Western:- Oh man!!!there are many. But these are some new track you could use with little of Tutting, waacking, robotics or slow mo, well, probably your imagination is your limit. So these tracks are seeds for those imagination. - SAY LESS ( Dillon francis ft G.easy) (this track is new, i have not seen any dance group performing on this so, again fresh one) .- LEAN ON (Dj snake ft mo- Club killer trap mix)-For some MJ style:- BEAT IT (Mutrix dubstep mix)- Migos (Bad and Bougees) etc and etc...these where some new tracks that's why i mentioned them.Now, The Bollywood:-Bollywood is jaan!!! When you perform on the song to which you can relate your every emotion, which you can understand and to which most people starts dance to.Believe me you can take any song and make it your dance no.And if you want a pure desi street dance song. Govinda. Yes! Govinda's song are the best.But i haven't had seen anyone dance to this oldie " payalay chunmun chunmun" from Virasat movie. This track can make a good duo dance no.And Prabhudeva tracks can be a good mixture of Bollywood and western beats. So you can also look for them to perform.Hope you will enjoy dancing on these tracks.
What is a good male song for a singing competition. my voice is a tenor and alto.?
stick to the tenor range, trust me on this.. song choices are wide depending on what style your into, dont choose songs that are hard to sing unless you are sure you can pull it off (get singing teacher/trusty friend to verify) weakness is NOT something you wanna display in a comp, choose something that will show off your voice, me for example, high sustained notes are my strong point being a lyric tenor, so i would choose songs like - Smoke Gets in your eyes - Platters (easy and showy) - Right Here Waiting - Richard Marx (nice and pretty) - Earthbound - Connor Reeves -All in Love is Fair - Stevie Wonder( dont choose unless you are sure you can pull it off) or being a lyric tenor i could also choose songs that sound pretty and easier to sing like Have I Told You Lately - Van, Home - Michael Buble, Body Wonderland -John Mayer think about your audience, if its a school comp, go for popular or easily recognisable hits, like No such Thing - John Mayer (its the guitar playing thats superbly difficult in this song not the vocals)
I need help making a karaoke track for a singing competition!?
Hey guys! So I was chosen to represent my school at a district-wide singing competition that takes place in about three weeks time. The song I want to sing is Jacquie Lee's rendition of "House of the Rising Sun." I really like the track she uses, and I have spent hours trying to find a similar one, but none of the karaoke tracks are as good as hers. I am not computer savvy, I have no music editing software installed on my computer, and I have no idea how to remove the vocals from her track. Can anyone help? It would be greatly, GREATLY appreciated...

There are 2 auditions and I'm planning to sing my strongest song (I Kissed A Girl) for the 2nd one. Not suited for most songs by mezzos (eg taylor swift), but good at upbeat songs with minimal belting. Currently considering born this way by lady gaga. Please help! thankyou! :)
Which Britney Spears songs shall I sing in singing competitions?
Britney spears has quite many songs till date and the best songs to sing in a competition s are the older ones….that is toxic and oops I did it again.If you can do some alterations in the songs while singing and make it more original then I would suggest go for hold it against me ,I wanna go or criminal cuz these songs when sung with more originality can do wonders.There are many non singles in the album blackout by Britney spears which sound good..Like heaven on earth and even break the ice is good although being a single.but alter the lyrics if u want to make it appropriate.To sing a Britney song in a competition you have to bring some original element because these are electro pop songs and that kind of music can't be produced at the place where you have to give the competition.Here is a link to a cover to give you idea about the originality I'm talking aboutHope it helps. :-)

How do I select a song for college singing competition?
Make sure to find a song that you REALLY get into. Something that you just cant help but BELT it out and get into it, FEEL the song. Make sure it's within your vocal range and you dont have many issues with that song. It gives you an edge to do a song not many people have heard, especially the judges. Do something upbeat (Learn To Fly by Foo Fighters, Fly by Sleeping With Sirens, and Forever Stuck In Our Youth or Why Worry by Set It Off are some songs I associate with this feel) or something with a slower tempo but really uplifting lyrics. (F*ckin’ Perfect by P!nk, If You Only Knew by Shinedown and Second Chance by Shinedown are some songs I think match this)Make sure it's from a genre you like and it's something that you can flow well with and you should be fine
