Also, the materials sold will be of prime shipping quality. UPS Stores also tend to have copiers, printers and computers from which to print such a label.Have the label AND the proper packing material? UPS stores will accept your packages and give them to the pickup driver, at no cost to you.
I relocated and changed my forwarding address on USPS. Will it help if the sender says Amazon, and it ships via FedEx or UPS?
While the previous answers are correct, there is one option that will allow items sent by non postal carriers to get forwarded to your new address. On items sent as “last mile of delivery”, non postal carriers, such as FED EX or UPS accept the item from Amazon, and send it to the destination Post Office, where these packages are actually delivered through the Post Office. When these items cannot be delivered, they are either returned to the sender or forwarded through the Post Office, if they are forwardable. Usually, these items are sent with the cheapest rate possible, and are not forwardable. If returned to the sender, they will be sent back through the Post Office as a postage due item. This should not happen, unless you move on the day you order your Amazon package, as these items come very quickly.
Does USPS package items to be shipped for free?
No, sorry. Nearly a decade ago I walked into a post office with just the DVD that I was selling to someone via Ebay. The Clerk was really nice and helpful and was able to give me a box that fit perfectly and some materials to secure it. It was a super positive experience. A month or two later, I did the same thing… Different clerk and was basically told to STFU and GTFO. Most POs will have boxes for you to purchase or use, but unless it is a newer and larger office, probably don’t sell any other shipping materials. I left, without mailing that second DVD. Went to a nearby CVS and purchased what I needed and returned to have it mailed off. That second experience is standard and what should always be the case, unfortunately. I just lucked out with a very cool guy who was willing to help me out and also had the means too. … If there hadn’t been any box lying around, what could he have done to help me out, regardless of his willingness? So, call your local PO and find out if they selling everything and everything you would need to ship something first… and if they don’t… go to CVS, or better yet, any Dollar Store beforehand. Cheers!
Can I drop off USPS packages at a UPS store?
Most definitely. Personal experience, we had a driver running late so I was sent to make the pick up at his UPS store. Once I had picked up the UPS parcels, I noticed they had USPS parcels and letters to be picked up. Seeing their mail carrier had already picked up there and I still had to go by the Post Office on my route for my pickup there, they gladly accepted my offer to take the USPS items there. I think I shocked a few customers there that were still coming in. It took about 5-10 minutes to load everything up and those that had mail to drop off were told to bring it outside to me if they wanted it sent that day. The look on their faces was priceless!
Why are my packages still saying pre-shipment?
The company you have ordered from has printed a label on USPS accepted software; however, the package itself has not been scanned received by the USPS. This confuses many customers because frequently other shipping companies (FedEx, UPS, DHL) will actually transport the package to the recipient's local post office for what is referred to as the “last mile delivery”. Until the package is scanned by the USPS it is considered ”preshipment”. So if it is not in USPS possession, it is “preshipment”.
If I sell via drop shipping, counterfeit items, can I get sued?
whether the items come into your hands or not,it's your responsibility to make sure what your selling is not counterfeit, and it is what you say it is.. the drop sipping co. could sue you if they get in trouble and your customers could sue you also. if you knew the items were not real you could be arrested also. the drop shipping co. is just the mailman, your the one doing the selling and sending.ultimately everything will fall on you.
Anyone ever been to New York during Christmas?
I was born in NY but I don't remember it at all because I moved from there when I was just a baby...AND I've ALWAYS wanted to go back there so incredibly bad FOR CHRISTMAS! I always see in movies how it looks and seems like its so beautiful during the holidays, just like Christmas was meant to be! <3 It looks like everyone has joy and has more holiday spirit than any other city. In movies like Home Alone and stuff it seems like it would be the perfect Christmas...Going to Times Square and seeing the lighting of the tree...Watching the snow while sipping hot chocolate and chatting with my family..and sitting by a chimney fire on Christmas night watching Classic Christmas films and SO much other things that ive always associated with Christmas but never have really got to experience. So i was just wondering, has anyone ever been to NY here for the holidays? IF so..what can you tell me about it? WAs it everything you expected? Is it just like in movies? What should you do if your Amazon package shows up as delivered by USPS, but you never got it?
My first hand experience. I bought close to $1000 worth of home items. I received about $300 worth of items and about $700 was not delivered even though status was delivered. I contacted amazon through chat on 9/22 Saturday night . They said they needed 72 hours to investigate. I called on Tuesday 9/25 since no one contacted me. They said they needed 72 hours business hours ok so I called 9/26. They said package was delivered and I said it wasn't. So they said I need a police report. I called the police got a police report in the mean time amazon sent me an email that basically it was delivered and it is out of their hands once carrier delivers. They advise to call USPS and local authorities.Everyone on here seems to think amazon will take care of you but the answer is yes if purchase is small but NO if you spent a lot of money in 1 order. I'm very disappointed in amazon as we spent thousands and thousands of dollars and this is how they treat me. They told me I'm a valued customer but I am not as they refuse to send me a replacement or refund.I called back and gave them a police report we will see what happens. But they're really giving me the run around. I would also advise on not using amazon prime credit card as other companies will probably issue you credit but since their credit card and amazon are the same company I will probably be SOL. I am so angry at this point I will sell my amazon stocks and take them to court and spread the word on how they treat their values customers. I've spent so much money and this is the only time i've hadproblems and this is how they treat me. And apparently customer service doesn't even know my name.
