I Need Help With A Persuasive Speech Idea

HELP!!! I have a persuasive speech tomorrow and i have no idea of what topic i should do!!!?

It can't be these topics: abortion, drunk driving, fraterneties/sororities, blood/organ donation, skin cancer, effects of sun/tanning, capital punishment, benefits or exercise/healthy diet, voter registration, legalizing drugs, seat belts, vegetarianism, spaying/neutering/adopting pets euthanasia, safe sex, recycling, and smoking.

Another thing-

the assignment says "establish problem, offer a clear course of action that audience can help resolve and call on them to be involved in it"

Persuasive speech topic ideas?

Are there any ideas you feel strongly about? Then focus on them. Is there a cause you identify with? Then focus on that.In short, perhaps the best persuasive topics are those which strike close to home. They do so because you have skin in the game. For example, if your persuasive-speech topic has to do with the need for government to devote more money to finding the cure for a disease (e.g., Alzheimer disease), you would probably give a better speech if someone in your family and/or circle of influence, has the disease. In other words, a true and sincere commitment to an idea or cause is perhaps the best place to start a persuasive speech. So, what do you feel strongly about?

I need some ideas for a persuasive speech...?

I'm only a sophmore in highschool but I might be able to help.

The first thing to consider is how you feel about insomnia, pro or con. You might also try starting by making a list of pros and cons and there might be something that jumps put at you from that list that might be something good to persuade.

Any good persuasive speech ideas?

Regardless of your topic make sure you do this::::
Address both sides of the topic.
Say...
You should do/think/buy ____________ because of (reasons x,y, and z). I know that (opposing group) says __________, but (defends own point of view, disproving the opposition.

Possible topics....

Smoking in public places
Dominance of fast-food commercials on children's television stations
Unhealthy school lunches
PBS receiving funding and showing commercials (PBS is well known for being commercial-free)
Sex ed/Abstinence only/No sex ed at all in schools
Should English be America's official language?
Is spanking as child discipline right?
Strict rules about PDA (public displays of affection) in schools
Cell phone use while driving

Help on a college level persuasive speech on adoption I need ideas?

I think I am thinking into the research too much and can not seem to organize my ideas. My goal was going to be to persuade that every family should adopt at least one child, or at least consider it. and I was going to do the benefits for the child and the adopting parent(s) I was also thinking about doing the effects that being in foster care has on the orphans like antisocial disorder, etc. and maybe talk about the different types of adoption .. etc. any better organization ideas or major points would be most helpful! ThanksQ

I need help on a persuasive speech on ABSTINENCE?

Hey there...
Well, first, here's a great link to some Abstinence Stats: http://www.missthemess.com/statistics/abstinence.php
This is a great beginning. Then when you format your speech, usually you start with a "Grabber"...maybe you tell a hypothetical story about some gal named Lisa who ends up with a broken heart and a venereal disease. The story isn't meant to be pretty--it's meant to grab your audience' attention for your speech. Okay, so then you start offering the facts that people might not know about: These are the stats on the site above. Here's another good site: http://www.siecus.org/pubs/fact/fact0001.html This one has additional facts, too.
Mid speech, share a testimonial story--find someone in your world who can give you a true story about how they abstained until marriage and how great it was for them. (These people ARE out there--my husband and I, for instance were both virgins when we got married and we are both so glad we made it)...then finish up your speech with an impassioned appeal to your listeners: you don't want them to be some of the other statistics...the ones that deal with abortion, venereal disease, broken hearts...encourage them and you're done. Good luck!
