Help with my math homework! I'm in 7th grade but I do 8th grade math...?

First of all, i know that i should do my own homework but I've thought it through and tried to work it out but i just don't get it. so don't give me any crap. Second of all, please explain ur answer step by step and don't use big mathematical words. I tend to not understand them... lol

1. threre's this 6 sided shape (it's not a every day hexagon u see) and 4 sides have the lenghth 9 cm, 8 cm, 4 cm, and 5 cm. I have to find the other 2 missing dimensions and then find the area and the perimeter. I need help with finding the missing dimensions AND how to find the p and a afterwards.

2. A circle has a circumference of 30pi inches. What is the diameter? What is the radius? I know that C=dpi and c=2piR
but idk how to find it.

3. A six ft. person standing near a flagpole has a shadow 4.5 ft long. The flagpole has a shadow 15 ft long. What is the height of the flagpole? Setup a proportion and solve.

Thank you guys soo much!!!!!

Urgent! Need help with my 8th grade science homework!?

The question is:
In free fall, an object is pulled down by its own weight. Calculate how fast each mass accelerates in free fall.
it then gives the following formula: a=F/M
what does the formula mean and how do i solve the question.
the masses and forces for each are 0.0025kg and 0.025 Newtons, 0.005kg and 0.05 Newtons, and 0.01kg and 0.1 Newtons

I Need Help with my science homework. 8th Grade?

1. Explain how the idea of a sum is important for thinking about net force.
2. Summarize the relationship between a moving object's mass, its inertia and the forces acting on it
3. Suppose an objects acceleration is negative. Use the formula for acceleration to explain what this implies about the initial and final velocities.

Need help with 8th grade algerbra 1 homework?

formula is distance = rate * time
you need to solve for 2 equations

time = 4pm - 2pm = 2 hours
distance = 20 miles ahead
20 miles ahead = rate * 2 hours
car: rate = 10 miles per hour faster
Therefore car = 10mph + bus speed

Average speed of car is 30 slower than twice the speed of the bus.
Equation Form: Car = 2*(Bus) - 30
Since C = B + 10, substitus
B+10 = 2B - 30
40 = B
C = 40 + 10 = 50
Bus Speed is 40 mph.
Car Speed is 50 mph.

Help with 8th grade biomes homework?

O.K., for my science homework, I need to make a storybook about biomes. I'm doing mine on a young armadillo named Jerome, and everyone calls him 'Jeromadillo'. He wants to leave his natural biome, the Southwest Desert, because he's bored of it. From there, it takes on a "Are You my Biome?" thing. He goes to the deep ocean, where an octopus tells him, "You can't breathe down here!" Then, he goes to the tundra, where an Arctic fox tells him, "It's too cold for you!" Now, I don't know what else to do. I need 4 more biomes (rainforest, decidious forest, savanna, tidal pool, marsh, etc.), 4 more animals (like the octopus and fox) to inhabit that biome, and a reason that Jeromadillo can't live in that particular biome(too cold, can't breathe, etc.) 12 points to the first person that can sufficiently help me out. Any questions, put them in your answer and I'll edit the question to accomodate your needs. Thanks to all that answer! HELP ME OUT!

I need help with my 8th grade history homework please.?

1st they are separate battle not different wars.
Gettysburg-stopped Lees 2nd invasion of the north. Crushed his forces to the point where they could never mount another huge offensive. and was the turning point in the civil war.

Vicksburg-gave the union total control in the mississppi and coincided with gettysburg. these 2 battle boosted northern morale.

Fort Wagner- I dont know too much about this battle but I think it was the 1st major engagment for african american forces during the civil war where they were allowed to take the lead and they won.

8th Grade Math Homework, need help on a couple of questions.?

For the first one, try and think of it like this: Instead of using "what number," try saying "35 is 70% of x." 70% is 70/100, or .7. The word "of" means "multiply," so you can now write the problem as "35 = .7x." Now all you have to do is divide by .7 on both sides, and you'll have your x.

Whenever you multiply or divide, and only one number is negative, solve it as if they were both positive, and then make your answer negative. When there's two negatives, your answer is positive.

A fraction is just another way of writing a division problem. Take for example the fraction 3/5. If you write it out like a regular division problem, you'll see that five can't go into three at all. So what you do is place a decimal point and a zero after the three, and then move the decimal point straight up as well, to where you place the numbers that form your answer. Now look back inside the problem. Five can't go into three, but it can go into thirty, which is the number you have if you ignore the decimal point. Place a six (six times five is thirty) after the decimal point on top, and solve like a normal division problem. So with that, your answer is .6. To get a percent, remember that percents are out of 100. The first place after a decimal is tenths, so .6 becomes six tenths. Add a zero on to the ten and the six, and you have sixty over one hundred. Percents are out of a hundred, so you have 60%.

Good luck with the homework....

I need help with my 8th grade daughters math homework. She is in advance math class algebra 1. ?

The probability that Mark McGwire hit a home run durning an official time at bat durning the 1999 season was 0.125. Find the probability that he hit a home run on two consecutive times at bat. Express your answer as a decimal rounded in the nearest thousandth.

Please explain into detail. I'm so confused because to me it doesn't give enough information, like how many times he was at bat. The answer in the book is 0.016. But I don't understand how it was gotten.
