I Need Some College Help.

I am afraid about getting into college. I need help!?

There are countless scholarships that you can get... Colleges will help a lot and many offer more personal payment plans... some even offering complete free-rids - although nearly impossible to get, it's certainly worth a shot.
Get in touch with your high school counselor and the colleges you want to go to and see what you can do with that. I think they could help you a lot.

I need help getting into college please help :(?

Hi guys. So I’m a highschool senior and it is now February, and I’m hoping to get into university of Memphis. Their deadline says May or June which confuses me because why are people so pressured to apply now if some schools have late deadlines? Anyways I think my GPA Is like a 2.4, maybe a little higher or lower. I only took the ACT once, and got an 18. I plan on getting a book and studying hard and take it in April and get maybe a 21 or 22. Should I apply now and will they get my updated score later? Is there no way I can get in with my 18? Is their deadline actually in May or am I reading some other information? Someone please answer all of these, and I would seriously be so thankful.

I need some help with admission in college?

Some of the top Commerce colleges in Mumbai are HR College of Commerce and Economics, Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics, St. Xavier etc. Answering to your second question, language won't be a barrier in these institutes. Lastly, cut-offs keep varying depending on the course and college. Just focus on giving your best shot. A percentage above 90 is considered good. Keep working hard , all the best!

I need some help with some college algebra!?

1.) The water pressure on a scuba diver is directly proportional to the depth of the diver. If the pressure on a diver is 31.5 psi when she is 70 feet below the surface, how far below the surface will she be when the pressure is 40.5 psi?

2.) The value of a car is inversely proportional to its age. If a car is worth $4900 when it is 3 years old, how old will it be when it is worth $2100?

3.) The length of a simple pendulum varies directly with the square of its period. If a pendulum of length 2.23 has a period of 3 seconds, how long is a pendulum with a period of 6 seconds?

Does College really help you get a job?

To get a good job in the US you need a marketable skill and a credential. For example to be an engineer or a teacher you are going to need that credential of all credentials—the appropriate bachelor’s degree. However parents and students have been brainwashed into thinking, “The ONLY valid credential is a bachelor’s degree. You can’t get a job without a four year degree.”It is a lot more complicated than that in our current economy. Most students who matriculate at four year colleges are just wasting their time and their parent’s money. Only one in four will graduate and get a good job. There just aren’t that many suitable jobs given the vast army of students enrolling. Students are entering a competition for a few good jobs, and most of them don’t understand this. With your run-of-the-mill college degree you are just as likely to end up working at Dick’s Sporting Goods peddling Nikes as in some fancy office pulling down $75K. A record twenty-five percent of minimum wage jobs are held by college graduates today. There are plenty of other credentials besides a bachelor’s degree that can lead to financial success. With the cost of four-year colleges skyrocketing and the stock of suitable jobs that have traditionally been filled by college grads in short supply parents and students need to consider their post-secondary choices carefully.

I need to get help from some of my professors at college but I don't know how. How can I influence them and convince them to collaborate with me? What makes a professor to work with students?

Q: “I need to get help from some of my professors at college but I don't know how. How can I influence them and convince them to collaborate with me? What makes a professor to work with students?”The question is incomplete, so it is hard to give a direct and accurate answer. If you are a grad student, doing research with a supervisor and your ideas about that research, first discuss the matters with direct mentor/supervisor. If unrelated to present degree research work and there are some profs expert in that subject, contact them and set a meeting time, if they agree and can talk. Some profs are working part-time and some are preparing for a sabbatical leave, etc. You must consider all possibilities. If you are an undergrad (it seems to me you are undergrad), then there are special research courses/internship for undergrad students to do research and get credit. You need to find those spacial courses/programs (like, summer research jobs), register for them and contact the professor in charge of that research. You may get financial assistance from professional societies (ACS, NSF, USGS in USA, NSERC in Canada, etc.) for that research work. So, for the first step, I suggest you meeting vice-Chair (undergrad) of your department, discuss the matters with her. She is definitely the best source of guidance. You may need to write a brief proposal about your research plan. You don’t need influence anybody; academic and non-academic staff are there working for you. If you and other students leave the university, then all of them must circulate their resumes to get a job or run a private business. Most of professors accept undergrad students (senior, 3th and 4th year) in their labs, no need to convince them, they will be happy and actually need to include you to their teams. This may facilitate for your future in academia, joining that lab for graduate studies.

I need some college Chemistry homework help?

Hello, it's quite simple actually. You see, when we talk about density, we are actually talking about the relationship that exists between the Mass (g, Kg, mg) and the Volume (L,mL, gal) of a certain substance or element. Do you remember this equation from class, D = M / V, its the density equation, and it will help you solve those problems.

Remember 1 cm^3 = 1 mL , some people seem to find it easier to understand if we use milliliters insted of cubic centimeters.

--------------------------------------...
So, problem A) states that we have Platinum, which has a Density (D) of 23.4 g/mL, and we need to find how much Mass (M) is contained in 76.6 mL (V) :

We simply rearrange the Density equation D=M / V , so we can resolve the Mass

Like this M = (D) (V)
We plug in the data, from the problem M= (23.4 g/mL) (76.6 mL)
mL with mL cancel each other out, and the result is the multiplication of those two factors, in g (grams) units

--------------------------------------...
Problem B) is very similar, it states that Magnesium has a Density of 1.74 g/mL , and we need to find out how much Volume (V) is contained in 275 g (M) :

Let us rearrange the density equation son we can resolve for Volume (V)
V = M/D
Substitute the data from the problem V= 275 g / 1.74 g/mL
g with g cancel each other out and the result is the division of those two factors, in mL (or cm^3) units.

--------------------------------------...

I hope that was of help to you, have a great day!.

Hope that helps a little, maybe it will atleast give you something to build on.

I need some help with this college Intro Chemistry question. Would I simply divide the two numbers?

Proxima Centauri, the closest star to the earth is 39.9 × 1012 km away. Given that light travels at 2.998 X 108 m/sec in a vacuum, how long (in weeks) does it take for light to travel from Proxima Centauri to the earth?

I need some help with my readmission letter for college please help?

below is the letter i made so far, but i wasn't too sure if its good enough to please my school or if i did it properly, please feel free to correct the errors and if you can? please give me an example.
please and thank you.

I am writing this letter to you in order to appeal my
re-admission to your college. I hope you will reconsider the matter. The reason why I was having difficulties with my studies is because my mom was in a very bad health condition, she was diagnosed with a cancer of the lymph in October 2010, she already survived but under disability and still does not able to work, I was so depressed by the time that I knew that my mom has a cancer and I had to work more so that I can help my parents financially, at the same time I was full time at school so I really cannot focus on studies that much. But it does not mean I don’t care about my studies so what I did was I talked to a councilor to help me with my studies, and we figured it out that I need some moral support from friends and family because I have been really quite about my problem and try to fix it by my self. I strongly believe that I can improve my academic studies by being more responsible and managing my time properly.
