What is the importance of being active in a community?
It is giving back to t=your community. Think about all the things the community does for you (of course tax dollars pay for most but I am assuming you don't pay taxes yet) schooling, law enforcement, fire, library and I could continue listing but I think you get the idea. By being active in the community you show that what you are volunteering for is important to you and you are willing to make it work. Most people have the idea that just throwing money at a problem will solve it...in some cases that is true but no matter how much money you send if there is no one there to do something with it what good is it? It would sit and go no where. My husband and I are trying to show the importance of giving back to the community to our children neither of our parents did anything for the community when we were growing up. By being active in the community you can be part of the changes in the community and have a better understanding as to what is happening in the community to see what needs to be done and what the "community leadership" wants to do just for the sake of doing it.
Why do you think community service is important?
Community Service is important as it bring the community together in helping us learn that others do care about our neighbors no matter where they live. It also unites the community in knowing what is needed, how to fix what is needed, and where to go when fixing is needed. I have witnessed how Community Service has and can transform people in making them better citizens and residents while providing a needed resource for the community that does not have a monetary price tag on it. Whether it is mandated by the courts, schools, or housing, or just someone who wants to give of themselves, community service provides a stepping stone for all of us to see things in a different light and viewpoint. Many say it builds character or humanizes difficult issues when in reality it makes us all humble in realizing that we could one day be on the receiving end of Community Servers. We are learning what it is like to walk in someone else s shoes.
Can someone help me with my community service essay?
I have an essay to type for school about what i thought about my 20 hours of assigned community service. I need to type two pages but i honestly don't know what to babble on about? I want to make it long enough and also make it sound good. Can someone give me some suggestions or may possibly know of an already made essay? I think the whole assigned community service is one thing but making you write about what you though is just B.S. !! Thank you!!!!!!!!!

How the hell do i message someone on yahoo answers!!?
Click on his avi it will bring you to his profile, if he accepts emails there will be a button that you can click. Be advised some choose not to accept emails. Edit: The round circle with the silhouette, in the top left of the box where the answer is........ when you click on that you can go to their profile page it tells you from there what level you are at, then there is buttons you can click (right under the name) if you want to follow, email, message. NOTE. you have your settings set as to NOT receive emails. as there is no button for it. To accept emails click on your user name it is on the left side of the screen right above the categories from the top it says.....Answers Home, notifications, then your user name. Once you click on that it will take you to your profile page. From there you can edit preferences and can set it to accept emails.
