I Really Need To Stop Smoking Weed Help.

My parents want me to stop smoking weed, help please? NEED help!?

Alright. Look at what is more important. Hey, as a fellow stoner I know that weed is great for relaxing. But when it effs up your whole life like this, maybe you should quit it for awhile and listen to music or find a different way to chill. Of course you don't want to, but it's just the easier thing to do. Look forward to the future to when you can toke all you want :) maybe now is just not the best time in your life.

Please, please help - parents want me to stop smoking weed - rehab thing ??!?

You do need help, but not the kind you are asking for. Go back and read what you just wrote. Can't you see that you are using weed to get out of life? You mention all the things that have happened to you, losing loved ones and all. Well, guess what? Those things happen to EVERYONE and we don't all opt out by smoking weed or drinking or taking other drugs. How will you ever have a happy life if you refuse to EXPERIENCE life?

Your parents are right insisting you see a therapist. And, sorry to say, at age 16 you simply do not have 'rights' as an American citizen, your parents have the right -- the responsibility -- to do what they feel is best for you. Can't you see that they are PROTECTING you from a life filled with drugs and regrets?

I wish you the best of luck.

I'm 21 and I really want to quit smoking weed. This is slowly destroying my health and confidence. I find it hard to quit. How did you quit smoking weed?

First i would like to say that i didn't quit weed, nor do i think i will ever quit it. However, i am planning to reduce my use and maybe  take a year or two off.Anyway, so i started smoking weed/hash around your age. And since that time i basically went through two phases of (almost) quitting:The first one was due to pressure of a person who was worried about me. My ex girlfriend to be exact. And it worked. After a couple of relapses (with two weeks between each one), i managed to stay off it for about a month, relapsed for a couple of days, stayed clean for another month, then finally started smoking again. That was about 3 years ago and since then i haven't stopped for more than two weeks, two or three times.Point being, if you wanna quit, you have to have two things: a great motive for quitting, and a busy schedule.Motive: weed is great, it ain't as harmful as other drugs are, and is relatively easy to get if you know the right people. So why quit? That's what your mind is going to tell you especially in the first couple of weeks. That's why you need a motivation that is worth more to you than all the weed this world has to offer.Busy schedule: simply put: if you don't keep yourself busy (like all the time!), your mind will keep going back to thinking about weed in an obsessive way, and that could (and probably will) lead to a relapse. Finally, don't get too hard on yourself if you DO relapse. Just start again the next day.Good luck man, you can do it!

What the best ways to stop smoking weed?

The best way to stop smoking anything is to quit cold turkey. Only if you are serious about it. You can talk a good talk, but can you walk the walk???? You have to change everything you've done and who you've been hanging out with since you first began smoking. Are you ready to do that? If not, you can hang it up. Won't work.

You can't be around the stuff, can't be around other people who use the stuff. For crying out loud, you have to quit buying it too!!

Get busy with your life! You have too much time on your hands. Change your routine, take up jogging, or working out, or better yet, try adopting someone less fortunate than yourself and spend some of that money you spend on weed in helping them. Not only will you get a wonderful "rush", but you'll really make someone's day (or year). And you'll take your mind off yourself and onto some kid who could use a friend or a new basketball, or an old lady who needs her house painted, or her plumbing fixed. See the tear in someone's eye who is so grateful they are speechless because they know they can never repay you!!!!
Get on with it!!!!!!

Some side effects may be: tiredness, a GREAT desire to have "just a little" so you feel better...............DON'T. Just hang in there for about 3 days is all. Take lots of showers. It may be like quitting smoking....you will actually STINK as the stuff comes out of your system. So SHOWER, SHOWER, SHOWER. You may be nervous. You will want to think about it. So think about it and move on. You are either a weakling or you are strong. You get to choose.

But since you are more emotionally addicted than physically, you absolutely HAVE to change your routine and your friends.
I quit smoking cig. after 35 years. Cigs are physically addicting. I KNOW what I am talking about!! All this actually works!
Good luck.....pray daily!

Im 16 and i can't stop smoking weed. What do I do at this point?!?

Hi ! Im 16 years old and i can't stop smoking weed. I honestly did everything to stop, but its so impossible. It sucks because i did everything. Also when i don't have pot i turn to other things to get me high. I can't go more then a day without it. Ive been to Caron rehab and that didn't even help. I just got right back out and started the habit again. I spend ALL of my money on weed. I want to save money but its nearly impossible. Just the smell of weed makes me crave it & do anything for it. I really need to stop because my grades are bad & it would be a blessing for me to make it a full week at school. Its hard to stop because my brother's smoke too. I really don't know what to do anymore :( && It doesn't help that my parents aren't even supporting me... I also don't like talking to people about my feelings or what happened.

Do I need psychiatric help to quit smoking weed?

No, you don't really need a psychiatrist for weed de- addiction, but you need to see a psychiatrist to make you understand that weed is not addictive. It has turned out to be a general notion that weed is addictive, but it is not. You can get rid of it within a week. It just plays with your mind. Everybody talks about weed addiction so we tend to accept this and lately it starts ruling up our mind. Infact coffee is more addictive than weed. Its all in the mind. Once you start training your mind that you don't need it, you'll start feeling the same. Its like getting over a boyfriend, the more you think of it, harder it gets. But once you are over, you are the happiest.

Stoped smoking weed, will my lungs get better?

this is about cigarettes, but the lung function increase may also apply to u
After a day without smoking, the carbon monoxide experiences an exodus from your body; also, the lungs start to clear out mucus and other smoking debris. After 2 days, your ability to smell and taste is greatly improved – and nicotine is fully eliminated from the body. In 3 days, breathing becomes easier – normal, even. The bronchial tubes begin to relax and the energy levels increase.

What happens when you stop smoking in 2 to 12 weeks? For one, your circulation improves. Lung function is increased by up to 10% in 3 to 9 months after quitting, and breathing and wheezing problems, and even coughing problems, increase because of the improvement in your lung function. After a year of quitting, your risk of heart attack falls to about half of that when you were still a smoker. After 10 years, your risk of lung cancer cuts down to half, and after 15 years, your risk of heart attack becomes equal to that as someone who has never smoked a cigarette.

My bf lied about smoking weed?

He promised me about two months ago that he would stop smoking weed for me.He recently had been acting diff so i checked his phone and found out he's been smoking weed a couple times a week behind my back.
I find weed completely appalling. He said he never meant the promise, he just didn't want to lose me.Now that I know I told him that I needed a break to figure out if I could deal with the lies and the fact he still wants to smoke.
Should I just try to deal with it or stick to my morals on not dating guys that recreationally smoke weed?Any advice please!
