I really hate my dad...?
I'll make a long story short, i really dont like my dad, he and i never get along and have nothing in common. when i try to be nice, he does something to repel me and make me wish i never tried. Now you see here's my dilemma, it happens every year... his birthday is this weekend and i'd rather not get him a gift, but if i dont then my mom will be sad, he'll be angry, and it will be one giant headache. Does anyone other than me have this problem? is fathers day/ mother's day, birthday's, christmas and any other holiday for that matter just bring up unpleasant feelings?

I dont think talking it out with dad is the best solution at this point. it may be the final straw and he will lash or strike out at you, and no one wants that. instead try talking with your mother and/or siblings. tell your mother how you feel, and ask for her advice. be prepared for her to get fed up an possibly call in a divorce. as for the gymnastics, do try to ask a friend to do it instead. you can tell your dad "hey, I know your busy alot so my friend X said they could give me a ride home instead. that ok?" good luck, and please, dont keep your feelings inside
I really hate hijab but my father and my brother forced me to wear it,somebody help me!?
As a part of our religion, Islam does not condemn those who force anything upon anyone. That defeats the purpose of hijab, right? Hijab should be worn by choice because you are ready to wear it and because you've studied why you should. It's actually not allowed in Islam to force anyone to wear hijab. Talk to them about it, and explain that when you are ready, you'll know in your heart and you will Inshallah wear it. You don't want to be forced into it and wear such a beautiful thing for the WRONG reason. Good luck!
My dad hates animals, but I really want a cat!?
I've always wanted a little sliver tabby cat, in fact any cat actually. My dad loathes animals (hates them), my mum said she'd be happy for me to have one but my dad won't even let me have an outdoor rabbit! How do I convince him? I think I'll actually be depressed for the rest of my life if I don't get one... :'(
My Wife and my Parents HATE each other. What should I do?
You can't, sadly. Just keep them as far apart as possible. Let your parents know that their animosity toward your wife will keep them from spending time with you, since the two of you are a family now, and you won't see them without her. That should make them tolerate her, at least. And ask her to respect them because they are your parents, and at least be civil. The time this will get complicated is when and if you have kids. Just hang in there. My husband and my parents do not get along so well, but I have made it clear that they will at least TRY for my sake, and for the sake of our daughter. OR, my parents just won't see their grandchild, which is unacceptable to them, so everyone does their best to get along. I really wish you luck. I have been married for 10 years. It does get easier over time.
