I Recently Switched Over To Straight Talk Services With A Galaxy S4 .

How can I switch my phone from straight talk to Verizon?

As far as the phone goes, that's easy. All Verizon phones are compatible with Straight Talk, so you will just need to replace the Verizon SIM card in the phone with a Straight Talk SIM card. This is assuming you already own your phone. If you are still making payments on it, you will probably need to pay it off before you will be able to use it on Straight Talk. Straight Talk should provide you with this SIM or you can buy one online or at Wal-Mart.If you are looking to keep your phone number you will need to port it over from Verizon and should be able to do this either through Straight Talk's 800 number or their website. In order to port your number you will need your Verizon account number AND PIN number. If you do not have BOTH, you will not be able to use your number. Your Verizon number will also need to be active and in good standing at the time of the port request. If the number is suspended or disconnected, the port request will be denied by Verizon.

Can you switch your Straight Talk phone to Verizon?

No. Even if it's technically compatible with Verizon's Network (most are) the phone is SIM locked to Verizon's carrier ID. Much like in the days of 2 year contracts on postpaid, prepaid phones are sold well below cost and they are locked to prevent you from taking the device to another Network. If the phone has maintained consistent Straight Talk service for an entire year, you MIGHT have luck getting it unlocked, but even then there is no guarantee that it will work.

Can you block a number if you have Straight talk cell service?

You can remove her number from your contacts list. Then go into the security settings and restrict calls. You will have to have your security pass code, which is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number. Then go to restrictions and restrict incoming calls that are not in your contacts.

Can I switch my Straight Talk cell number to Net10?

I recently moved to Newport, PA and I discovered that the Weis market located only a few blocks from my apartment, sells Net10 phones and service cards. I have Straight Talk, and driving five miles to Walmart to get a minutes card each month is a pain in my butt.

I heard that I can keep my phone that I have if I want to switch to Net10. I just want to know if I can transfer my number from Straight Talk to Net10. I have a week until I have to refill my minutes, and I want to do this before I spent another $45+ tax.

I'd like to switch my straighttalk phone to Verizon and keep my number. Is this possible?

Switching the number isn't a problem. Your account number is the IMEI of your phone or the last 15 numbers of the SIM if you're a bring your own phone customer. Most Straight Talk phones are SIM locked so they can only be used on Straight Talk. If the device has been used in Straight Talk for at least a year, you may have some luck getting them to unlock it. Ive heard mixed results there. But unless the phone is a LTR-V phone it won't be physically compatible with Verizon.I have seen CDMA Verizon phones activated on Straight Talk, but I've never seen the reverse because the MEID of the device must be registered with Verizon.

Can i keep my straight talk phone number if i switch to verizon prepay?

Not since it's prepay

If I buy a Straight Talk iPhone 5S from Walmart, can I use it on my Verizon plan?

It depends. If the device is LOCKED to a particular carrier, you are going to need to rectify that with Straight Talk and Apple first.Second, and this is the tough one, Verizon is NOTORIOUSLY difficult when it comes to activating devices that did not come from them or Apple directly. I had this experience when trying to activate an unlocked iPad Air with them a few years back. It took me about two weeks and ten hours on the phone to finally get them to activate the device, and that was after signing an agreement that basically told me that if I have any problems with the device or the network, I am on my own.

Can I use a prepaid straight talk AT&T SIM card in an unlocked Verizon phone?

If you have a Verizon phone which is unlocked and takes a SIM, you can use the straight talk AT&T SIM in that phone. It will work, BUT YOU WILL NOT GET THE FULL AT&T coverage. Reason. The lowest LTE Bands, the ones that connect on 700 mhz only work with Verizon on most Verizon phones . There are exceptions such as Apple iphones 6 and higher, and carrier agnostic devices such as the Moto G4 /Moto G5 . However a typical Verizon android phone will connect to low band LTE only on Verizon’s 700 mhz band 13 and AT&T devices have to connect to band 17 if older devices, or band 12 if newer devices {its really 17 but renamed, T-Mobile usually used 12 for lowband}. Your phone will still work in most places because both Verizon and AT&T use higher band LTE called band 2 and band 4 and these two bands connect and work well in most places. Additionally, both phones are able to connect in a mode called HSPA or HSPA+ which is slower but still adequate for most services. Lowband incompatability is only important if you spend a lot of time deep inside buildings where bands 2 and 4 drop while the lowband can reach or in remoter rural areas where Verizon’s 13 and AT&T’s 17/12 can reach well but your Verizon phone could not connect on 17 or 12. If AT&T is a strong signal where you are, it will make little difference and work OK. I spoke of AT&T rather than straight talk because Straight Talk is simply a Mobile Virtual Network Operator which gets its AT&T coverage directly from AT&T and re-markets the service as a plan they service to you.

Can you transfer Straight Talk CDMA to GSM?

Hello

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Proclaim on Straight Talk. The phone is CDMA and I have the 6 month unlimited plan on it. However, for the holidays, I am getting the Sony Xperia Z Unlocked International. We all know unlocked phone are usually GSM.

My question is basically what it says. I previously had the Samsung Galaxy Precedent and it was also CDMA. They transfer my whole account to the Proclaim. Well, I was hoping they could do the same on GSM. I know Straight Talk has AT&T and T-Mobile SIM cards.

Thanks for your help

How do you block numbers on a Straight Talk phone?

There are many ways to stop communication. If your provider does not grant you a service of blocking certain numbers (by typing certain service numbers by touch-tone) and your phone is not programmable and you don’t have a telephone station at your home, that can do that, and your telephone company doesn’t provide that service, the only way to do this is by doing something criminal, which I won’t advise to do.Just a creative way to block numbers.Find out where your next telephone infrastructure stands. It’s usually a very simple house or kind of hall or warehouse where all the old relais did stand from the dinosaur age.If you are lucky, it’s still all mechanical and you can go and get rid of the incoming relais after you illegally entered that facility. That might block calls from whole regions for your whole neighborhood, but whatever it takes. If you have digital services, there’s a mainframe big computer with all the cables running in. You have to find a way for your terminal to enter it and go through the specifications. Then you can easily block a number or give you a service or whatever.I just once visited such an environment completely legally and a friend did show me how theoretically that could be done. At home I suddenly found myself mystically available some additional services on my phone that I did never knew were available. There must be an error in the telephone relais station, but because I don’t bug people with small things, I never told them, that there was an error. So, yes: it perfectly works. But that’s illegal and I don’t tell you how exactly that works. Anyway your telephone system works different most likely where you live. And you need an expert for that. I could not have done that myself with no preparation and learning all those infrastructure. For the legal way to do it, here the system the TDSTelecom uses, but the system is different from provider to provider, so you have to google that yourself (“ block numbers”) for your system, your country and your provider:Blocking unwanted callers | TDSIf your system is still mechanical, which can happen in many places of the world, you might not have the service at all, just the illegal way to do it. If I were you, I would try to switch to IP telephone or mobile, then. If you still have a girl in station that is doing that by hand, get out of the 19th century! Pronto!
