It depends on your intentions. For me, I keep my phone unlocked and all of my stuff very open. There are some people who get so aggravated and stressed that they’ll take any opportunity to check their partner’s messages and if it gets to that point, there are much bigger problems in play. “Going through” your partner’s phone and just checking a message for them, looking down when it’s going off, or using it to look something up are two completely different mindsets. One is that you feel you’ll find something incriminating on their phone and the other is using it the same as if it were your own phone.
