Epididymitis is and infection of the vas differece tubes on top of the testicle. Yes you can have an ejaculation, and it usually will cause pain. Do I Have Epididymitis?
Im 17 years old and play alot of basketball.. I ransomly got a pain in my right testicle 3 1/2 weeks ago. The pain started only in my testicle and couple days later went into my lower abdominal and lower back.. I felt a pimple sized lump on the epididymit ( srry 4 the spelling ) and it would hurt when i touched it.. I also tried to find the lump on the left side and found about the same thing.. Tge pain right now only buggs me an hour a day, and when i touch my testicles it hurts as in being sore but after when i touch it the pain goes away. What can this be. My friend said it could be from not wearing protective underwear when i play basketball.. Can that be??

yes, it is possible. For whatever reason, sometimes the STD in one person may not show up as soon as the other person. The most common cause is Chlamydia. You should definitely get tested... in fact, i would venture to say that you should just take the treatment, just in case. Keep in mind, Chlamydia is not the only thing that causes epididymitis, any bacteria can, but STD's seem to be the most common.
I have Epididymitis, is it safe to have sex?
When I had Epididymitus (the non STD form), I was told to take my antibiotics and lay down to reduce gravity effects. Since the epididym is inflamed, sex is probably not a good idea and wouldn't be all the comfortable. I was running a temp and felt like hell until the antibiotics kicked in anyway.

When I started feeling the symptoms of it, I stopped because I just wasn't quite sure what the **** was going on, and it seemed like it was immediate onset. I mean it was pretty much like one night I masturbated, and then like an hour later I was getting crippling pain in my right nut... I waited 4 days, and when it didn't go away I went to the doctor, who then referred me to the emergency room, where I was diagnosed. So I'm on night 3 of taking anti-biotics, and the pain is almost non existant. it's been a week, and thankfully I'm not as dependent on it anyway. I just figured before I found out about the epidymitis that I'd seriously hurt myself from excessive masturbation and was just going to go cold turkey for a while to get rid of my dependence and go cold turkey for a while and then continue my former healthy habit of twice a week. So, here is the question, would masturbation be a bad idea? If it is, I can go without it. I think I've kicked the addiction to it, but well, it would be nice... it's been a while. Would it be a bad idea? Before I'm convinced that it wouldn't be, I wan't a source specifically saying it wouldn't and it has to be convincing...
