No, they wont bw notifiend but they would be able to see you that u r a part of that group. And when u join the closed group the group admins would be notified..
How do I cancel a request to join a group?
A Yahoo group I am trying to join requires Moderator approval. Well, it's been like two weeks, no response, tried contacting the moderator, no response. I just want to cancel the request. How do I do that? The old Yahoo groups had a 'Cancel' button on the group homepage...no there's nothing.
On Facebook, it won't let me join a group. Why?
Whenever I try to join a group, it says I join it, then it takes me to the group page, and the Join Group button is clickable. It also doesn't show the group I joined in my profile, or it won't let me write on the group wall. Please help. I've tried to join these groups like a billion times, but it just won't work!

FB has algorithms that detect when somebody is messaging a great number of individuals in short period of time - or somebody reported you for spam like behavior (such as cross-posting your ad/link/message onto group after group but never actually interacting w/ people IN the group or participating in any of the conversation threads except maybe to post your ad or link)People not knowing how to properly market OFTEN resort to spam like activity to generate interest (Mass marketing to every at large vs. targeting their ideal client or user). And not understanding or realizing that this actually turns people off from their ad or message.
Can non-Yahoo e-mail accounts join a Yahoo group?
You can use any email address to subscribe to a yahoogroup. No ifs ands or buts. This allows anyone to send and receive emails to and from the group. Subscribe with an email to: groupname-subscribe@yahoogroups.com from the non-yahoo address. However...you have to have a yahoo ID to get into the group's yahoogroup site. When your member sets up the yahoo ID they need to provide an alternate email address in case something happens, like they forget the password. Set up the alternate address to be the non-yahoo addrss that is used for membership in the group. The member then has to sign into the yahoo ID but then yahoogroups recongnizes the non-yahoo address in the group and lets them in. Compex? Yes.
