Better to take a nap or do homework after school?

Finish homework NOW and go to bed early tonight.

Better yet, take a brisk 10 minute walk, do homework, and then go to bed early. The walk will wake you up.

Is online school better than public school?

You miss out on a lot of things. Social things especially, you only do it if you have no other alternative. Like if you have NO other choice, it's not really worth it otherwise.

Why do I always want to be better than everyone else in school?

It is normal for many people, so you are fine. Everyone wants to feel good about themselves and do better than others. A lot of people don’t put effort into it though. The reason it is common for school is because it is clear that someone is better than others. The grades are measured and others can easily be shown “high marks”.I would argue that “being better than everyone in school” is done not by getting high grades but realizing that a lot of material really isn’t to much use of you and you are better off with practical knowledge learned outside of school (you need to put effort into doing this, it does not come on it’s own). Still, this doesn’t mean you should just give up on school entirely. Getting higher grades than most of the people in the school will mean you are working towards something, and in order to gain things of value in the “real” world, you will have to work towards that specific thing.

Is it possible to do better in college than I did in high school?

If motivation is your main issue, then you can definitely do better in college. High school is…. You have to take certain classes. They're basic classes that you have to take so you can graduate. Little to no options. Why bother when it doesn't interest you or seem to matter in the long term, right?College is different. There are gen ed classes, but you have variations. If one requirement is history, you have dozens of different history classes you can take; history of America, of a certain era, Rome, Greece, etc. A science, you can take bio, chem, physics, geology, astronomy, physical anthropology etc. You can find something you're interested in to fulfill the gen eds usually. And then there's your major. Major classes give you information and tells you will most likely need for, or at least apply to, your career. The motivation comes when you have choices and reason to take classes. In high school I didn't care at all. My classes were boring and it didn't help they were easy. My GPA was high and I was third in my class, but it wasn't because of motivation. I never studied. I didn't like group work because my peers didn't care either. Now I'm in college? GPA is definitely higher , and I gained motivation to actually study and put effort into my classes. Still not a huge fan of group work but I don't mind it as much. Peers usually care more since there is a mutual interest in the material. And even if not, I find I'm more okay with doing all the work. It's amazing how huge of a difference there is between high school and college. Hang in there and find what interests you and can get you more involved in your studies.

Is online classes better than regular high school?

I started high school and i have been thinking about asking my parents if i could do online courses for highschool. I started school awhile ago and it is one of the worst things i have had to do. During my lunch break i have none of my friends. Every time i get there i become teary and of the verge of crying all day. When im there all i can think about is going home and wanting to see my mom. I am miserable there and i want to do my first year or semester doing online courses because i am smart enough to teach myself what i need to learn. Can anyone tell me what the benefits and disadvantages are of taking online homeschool courses?

Which do you think is better, homechooling or public school?

I wanna homeschool bcuz i wanna graduate earlier. i'm gonna take a 2 yr. course and graduate this yr..another reason y i wanna homeschool is bcuz im sick of my school i barely like ne1 from my school i only like a couple of ppl. and then im also sooo sick of my teachers and then im never early to school im alwaz late and then that just messes up my grades and credits and stuff. The good thing about homeschooling is that i can wake up anytime i want to and i work at my own pace and i can graduate earlier.
