I Wanna Buy A Gaming Laptop I Have 5 Laptops In Mind I Need To Know What Laptop Has A Good Cpu And

What is a good (cheap) gaming laptop?

Hi you will get conflicting answers to this question but 600 is far too cheap to expect any sort of performance out of a laptop so now you know you need to spend twice what you want to pay to get anything with any performance.
the answers are sometimes not what you want, but in most cases they are true, for instances the graphics on most laptops are part and parcel of the motherboard so the idea of changing the graphics card does become impossible until you pay a substantial amount for the laptop in the first place for and be able to change the graphics card.within a laptop.
so yes it could cost 2000 dollars for a laptop with the facility to change the graphics card but they are even limited. it is all due to cost for performance. you only get what you pay for.

Desktop or Gaming laptop?

It's good to choose what you want first: A gaming laptop or a gaming desktop.

Get a laptop if you want to take it a lot to other places, like school e.g. But if you're just gonna plant somewhere and barely move it then it's better to get a desktop. Gaming laptops are more expensive, get hotter and obviously have smaller screens than gaming desktops. Choose wisely.

For desktops: For that money you can get any high-end video card from ati or nvidia, like the 6970 or gtx570. Get a high end amd processor or something like an intel i7 and 4-8gb ram with it. That will run any game perfectly.

For notebooks: The laptop with the dual gtx 560m's sounds good to me. Any gaming laptop around 1700 dollars should run any game fine.

What are the things to keep in mind while buying a gaming laptop?

If you are planning to buy a Gaming laptop there are such important specifications you must have to give priority like its brand, CPU, Frequency of Memory, SSD, Graphics card. These are the most important specification for a gaming laptop and for video editing.1. The processor should be latest and fastest so that it can handle the commands quickly given by the users. Get a laptop with at least an Intel Core i72. Mainly the computer’s main microprocessor is busy with some other works in this case graphics card handles all remaining works calculation of videos and all. The GPU lets the computer's main processor do its job, allowing the computer to run at full speed. So we can calculate without engaging the main processor GPU let the computer works at high speed. For Top Gaming, laptops visit Gizinfo.com3. Get a laptop with good resolution, avoid laptops with low resolution always go for 1920 x 1080 and higher resolutions.4. Make sure that keyboard is comfortable enough.5. Get solid-state storage. Invest in an SSD for faster game installs and load times because it uses flash memory to store data, which provides better performance and reliability over an HDD.

What should I get for a Laptop for college (non gaming)?

Okay, here's what I need:

Good with photoshop

Good wireless

Good speed

Good display (for graphics stuff with photoshop of course)

Durable

Normal sized screen (I think around 15.4 inches diagnally would be pretty good, and i think it's pretty normal)

Somewhat portable (i'll be using it at college, so I'll be taking it around a lot)

Able to run Vista well

___

So, yeah....I just want a really good computer for the money I spend, so I'll be buying it on clearance and getting a free printer or something. Can someone look on this page and tell me what is the best deal for a computer that fits with what I want? Keep in mind what I'm looking for. Remember that I don't care about gaming. I will play only freecell and spider solitare on that computer! Nothing else!

Here are some specific questions:

What is the best kind of computer (dell, HP, etc.)?

What is the best processor (AMD, intel, etc)?

Does processor speed really matter (1.ghz and 1.8 ghz much different)?

What is a good (or average) processor speed? I heard that it should be at least 2.0ghz, but does that mean for those duo processors as well?

Is there anything I should look for in a computer that I did not mention?

Good laptop not performing like it should?

Lots of answers telling you things like 'Laptops get slow over years' which is next to a pointless response. You noticed this already and I believe you want to know why and how to fix it......

9 Times out of ten its the fan........ The fan gets clogged, and so the CPU gets hot. Many motherboards, rather than let the CPU get too hot and break will start 'throttling' it.. i.e. slowing down the cycles per second, resulting in your reduced performance. This is also true of the GPU - on your video card.

To fix this is anywhere between easy and impossible - depending on the design of your machine.

If you can get at the fan assembly by removing the underside of your laptop, do it, and clean out the fan as well as you can .... do this for any fans you can find. Failing that use a toothbrush and clean the grill wehre the fan pushes out the air... and you may even want to buy one of those high pressure air bottles (used mainly for cleaning keyboards)and give the thing a squirt.

Needless to say, unplug and turn off the machine before doing this, and BE CAREFUL of some of the more fragile looking components
