Is there any way to track an Android device without Internet via GPS?

Does a GPS sensor of Android devices work without internet connections?Any GPS receiver (including the receiver in any smartphone) does its job using only the data it receives via radio from the GPS satellites. This data enables it to determine the distances to at least four of the GPS satellites, and from that it can determine your position. That’s all GPS does: determine your position. Your GPS receiver doesn’t need the Internet to do this. However, just knowing your longitude and latitude is probably not what you’re after. If you want to do anything other than just display your longitude and latitude, you need more than just GPS — you need some software and a lot of additional data.If you use a program such as Google Maps, you have to have Internet access. When Google Maps displays your position on a map, calculates a route, or displays nearby traffic, it’s using the Internet to download maps, perform calculations, and retrieve traffic data from Google’s servers. The are lesser-known smartphone apps, such as Copilot, which download ahead of time all the maps for a given area (in the U.S., typically a region, such as the southeast states) so that they don’t need an Internet connection to work. Such apps are ideal for users who don’t have a plan that allows them to use a lot of mobile data.Stand-alone GPS units, such as those made by Garmin and Magellan, usually come with maps for a country pre-loaded, and again, no Internet connection is necessary. But regardless of the hardware and software you use, it all starts with a GPS receiver that determines your position using only the data it receives from satellites, no Internet required.

Is it possible to track someone remotely through GPS on his phone without his knowledge and without installing any software on his phone?

Yes, and you don’t even need to use the GPS, you will not install anything on the target phone and he will not be aware of being tracked. As I just answered to a similar question:If by tracking you mean identifying its geographic location, this can unfortunately be done by exploiting a bug in the cellular network which does not require you to install anything on the target phone. You can even be on the other side of the planet. Moreover the targeted phone will not be even aware of being tracked. As you can easily understand this is totally illegal and should be done ONLY by police. The problem is that this technology has become of pubic domain and anyone, just knowing the phone number can track any cellphone. To give you an idea on how easy it has become, if you have an Android phone, download and install from F-droid an app called SMS ping.It will allow you, by simply typing the target phone number to check if that phone is on or off.If you know little of programming, you may even modify that app to tell you to which tower the target phone is connected to, hence, its geographic location.Think at the implications of being tracked by your competitors, a robber that wants to know when you are not at home, or paedophiles who are tracking our kids. This is a very good reason for never give out our cellphone number to anyone. I still don’t understand why companies keep asking our mobile numbers while being perfectly aware of our risks. Not to mention “free” chat services that ask for our mobile number. There could be other ways for a two way sign in.We do provide untraceable encrypted smartphones that do not work using standard cellular networks. How do you track someone with their cell phone?

There are several ways to track a mobile phone. Software, the most useless, reason being you need to have access to the target phone. Example. I feel like tracking my neighbours phone,he ain't gonna let me have his, her phone long enough to install software onto it. Also a virus scanner will detect it and notify you of it's existance.Another way. Hardware you can make yourself for approx £20 pounds. The draw back on this way is you only get one way conversation, txt. To do it properly using this way,you need a separate tracking device for EACH target phone. The best way is to use the actual networks involved. All you need for this is the IMEI. Oh i say IMEI,there is also two other ways built into mobile phones. Bluetooth, and WiFi. Both transmit serial numbers when in operation, just like your mobile transmits its serial when switched on or in use. There simply hardware addresses. And I can't say how to do that on here. Sorry it's illegal. As for changing a mobile phone IMEI,it's very easily done. The IMEI number is stored on a eeprom chip. Erasible, programmable memory chip. To do this depends upon the manufacturer make, model. You can do it with a simple code, or you may need a data cable or jig,and pc with the software on it. Companies like Nokia protect there's,you gotta be a service centre and pay for it .I.e pay for the license. Companies like Samsung, use mainly codes. Depends on the manufacturer. And the most hardest IMEI to change is iPhone s. Oh yes forgot. Cells track phones as soon as switched on,don't even need a SIM card to be tracked. Software is just snooping software, spyware. Hardware, tracking is when the phone is in use only. And a mobile device can NOT be tracked when switched off.
