I Want Some Pills To Take For School What Should I Take

How many pain pills does it take to get high? *School Project*?

Hi,
It all depends on the medication and on the individual taking them. There is no generic pain pill or even a "generic dosage". Everyone responds differently to meds.
In general, the narcotic or opiate/opioid pain killers do have rather good safety profiles. So an extra 2 or 3 tablets may cause you drowsiness, euphoria, nausea and other side-effects but it won't kill you. This does not mean that they are safe. Combining a normal amount with other depressants like alcohol, sedatives etc. may kill you.
However, the 2 pain medications with the poorest safety profiles are:

1) Meperidine/Pethidine (Demerol)
2) Propoxyphene (Darvon, Darvocet)

With Demerol, it has a toxic metabolite called nor-meperidine that builds up in the system after repeated administration. This metabolite can cause irritibility, hostility and respiratory depression (very serious, especially amongst children and the elderly) amongst other things.
Darvocet is probably the most toxic pain pill on the market. It also has a toxic metabolite (called Nor-Propoxyphene) that builds up in the system and can cause severe side-effects like respiratory depression, cardiac side-effects and seizures. This is one pain pill where even a few extra tablets/capsules can put you at a severe risk of overdose. It is very easy to OD on this even though Darvocet has very poor pain-relieving capabilities (it is weaker than codeine).
Hope this helps. Drop me a line if you need more.

What happens if you take 2 sleeping pills before school?

I think you mean, like if you were to take two sleeping pills and then go do something where you aren't trying to sleep. Im thinking that what you're trying to ask is that, if you were to do this, would you just be very drowsy or would you pass out involuntarily from the medicine.
Unfortunately, I'm not in the position to answer this because I'm not exactly sure myself. It's too bad all of the other people chose to spam this and be really immature and, evidently, not bright enough to figure out what your asking.
I think that if you were to take sleeping pills before school, the medicine could possible overcome the rest of you and force you to sleep, thereby, making you pass out. Especially if you take two, which could be pretty powerful. But please, don't go by this, this was truly just a guess. I'm not a doctor. :)
Oh, and also, I urge you not to try this! Drugs are nothing to play around with, even over-the-counter things. And the medicine would do something to you: either cause you to sleep in class (your teacher wouldn't be very pleased), or if you pass out, you would probably have to go to the nurse, and eventually someone will realize you took medicine, and your parents or other adults wouldn't be so pleased.
So if you really want to know, ask a doctor, dont trust what people on yahoo answers say. As you can tell... some of them have only half a brain. :)

Can I bring Advil to school?

Take advil to school. I have an old altoids container with ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen, and vitamin D. Even though it's technically against school rules I also share with my friends if they are having a hard day. if you don't make it obvious that you are taking pills or 'dealing' pills then there's honestly nothing to worry about.

Is it ok to take 3 birth control pills at once?

Safe in terms of health wise, sure, although it could make you sick to your stomach. I think most pills will tell you to only take 2 at a time though so you may have to double up Monday and Tuesday to catch up. Also, missing that many pills in a row, you will need to use another from of birth control (Condoms) until after your next period. Birth control pills are only just enough hormone to stay in your system 24-36 hours, so by now your bodies natural hormones are trying to kick in and you could get pregnant.

What classes should a high school student take if they want to be a psychiatrist?

AP Psych and Bio are definitely good classes to take if you plan on going into psychiatry. It is important for psychiatrists to have an understanding of both the human mind and mental processes, as well as an understanding of life and life processes. This is a good start.I would recommend taking AP Chemistry, as chemistry is really what psychiatry is “about”. Balancing medications and chemicals in the brain is the main part of a psychiatrist’s job. If your school offers them, other courses that may be helpful include organic chemistry and biochemistry. A lot of colleges will require these courses eventually for the field you plan to go into, so if you can knock them out now while in high school, it might be a good idea to do so.Another course to consider is AP Human Anatomy and Physiology. Anywhere in the medical field that you could want to go, it is important to understand the human body and its functions/processes. This applies to psychiatry, too.Lastly, I would recommend taking some math courses. A lot of balancing medications is mathematical. A lot of interpreting data is mathematical. Overall, a lot of anything in science or medical fields deals with math. Specific courses here include ones in statistics, probability, and calculus.Overall, most of the courses that are going to help you later on in psychiatry are science and math courses. You'll need chemistry, you’ll need to understand human biology, and you'll need a good grasp on certain maths. However, you're in high school. Don't base ALL of the classes you take based on what you *might* go into in the future. Sure, it's important, but you should also explore other interests as well. Take classes you like. Take classes you're good at. Good grades in almost any AP class will look good when you apply for colleges. And if you want to take a course, especially one of these, but they don't have it offered as an AP, go ahead and take the course. It'll give you knowledge for when you get to college and take a harder course on the subject. You'll have an advantage going in because you'll already have the basics.Hope this helped, good luck in all of your classes and future in psychiatry or whatever other field you may choose to go into! :)

Should I take sleeping pills whenever I want to?

Sleeping pills work on the brain to promote drowsiness. Sometimes sleeping pills are prescribed to help achieve a normal sleeping cycle. Is it OK to bring ibuprofen to school?

It should be fine if it’s just for yourself.I usually have a few 100 g pills in my little bag somewhere in my backpack, but it’s strictly for myself. I tend to get stress-induced headaches, more likely if I haven’t slept well (due to stress) so there may be days during which 2 or 3 of those mean I feel human vs dying on the inside. However, I am not at liberty to share my medication with students as I don’t know whether or not they’re allergic to something (even if it’s just the lactose in the pill). It’s better just not to share, period. I also carry over the counter Diclofenac as an alternative painkiller as well as eye drops (I have sensitive and dry eyes). If I’m on my period, I may have dissoluble magnesium tablets for myself, too (try it out if it’s painful, it really helps me). I might also have carbon tablets in case I eat something off.So, if you know that ibuprofen works for you and that you might need it (period pain, headaches), I don’t see anything wrong with you keeping a few pills somewhere safe for when you need it. However, don’t play with them or share them with people unless they know that it is okay for them to take. Medication is a personal thing. Also, discuss this with parents prior to raiding their cabinet, unless you buy it from your own allowance (discussion is still good). I’d advise to have a carbon tablet or two around in case you get stomach trouble.Remember, medication is personal! In addition, the school nurse probably has different painkillers in her office such as ibuprofen, paracetamol or aspirin, the most common NSAIDs. So you can always see her about it. In fact, even teachers can get help at school. One school I worked at kept a first aid kit in the secretary’s office for both students and teachers, due to the school nurse not being in the building 3 days out of 5.Make sure it is okay for you to take it, that you don’t share it with anyone who doesn’t take it and could have an adverse reaction to it.
