I Want To Be A Singer But I

I want to be a singer?

i've wanted to be a singer all my life- Just like the millions of other people out there- But i don't know how. I get that you have to have a record deal- And I know how it all works- But MY problem is that- I don't know where to start. How do you get signed to a record label? Do you just solely have to have a good voice? I realize I sound stupid, But I have to figure this all out some-time right? :P. I'm pretty much just asking for any information on how to become a singer- And I don't mean just as a hobby. Do you actually need a record label to sign you anyway?

What should I do if I want to be a singer?

Being a good singer takes a lot to work on. Here are some useful tips on how to be a singer. Just believe and have faith that you can make it, and everything you desire will actually come in to reality. Some say you need to have a voice instructor for you to develop your confidence, vocal chords, proper breathing, intonation and a lot more. Developing your voice really needs to have a major training may it by yourself, with your friends or best with a voice instructor. I myself enrolled to a voice lesson with my friends not to be a perfect singer but just to help myself become a good one. You really need to know the notes for you to be able to use proper breathing. Here are my personal tips I got from my very good voice instructor;1. Relax your vocal chords before you start.2. Exercise your jaw and face- you cannot sing well especially when you are nervous, so just relax.3. You can practice proper breathing while you are swimming, Inhale, Exhale to open up the air passage and soften the diaphragm.4. Do not drink plenty of water. Do not eat plenty of chocolates or other sweetened foods. You are also not allowed to drink plenty of coffee and tea.5. Lastly, practice phrasing songs that you are so good at. Better record it so you would know where your weak points. Then work it out again.

I want to be a singer but don t know where to start?

I am 20 yrs old and I ve never really sung in front of huge crowds. I don t really know how to play any instruments. (unless if I count playing the flute in my middle school band and playing songs on piano by memory.) My mom keeps telling me to find places to sing since I just sit around the house all day. But how do you start, any suggestions from those who are aspiring singer/songwriters and have been in my position.

What should I do if I want to be a singer, but I don't like my singing voice?

Persevere and practice hard. Keep in mind the sound you hear in your head isn’t the sound others hear. Cupping a hand behind each ear gives a better representation if you can’t record yourself with any quality. As some consolation, there are a lot of singers who don’t really like the sound of their voices. I didn’t like the sound of mine but pressed on telling myself that it’s what others think that’s more important. I’m more comfortable with it now though. That’s probably because I’ve realised it’s common for singers to want what they don’t have, whether that be tone, range of technique.

I want to be a singer so bad but i'm muslim?

Ok so i really want to be a singer but my parents are very religious muslims. I've mentioned wanting to be a singer before and my dad said "no one in my house is going to be a singer. Its haram" so i got very upset. I'm trying to figure out how to be a singer. My parents said i couldnt move out of the house until i am married. They also want me to marry a muslim man so that'll probably be a man who is also as religious as them so that'll also bring me down so i'm thinking bout lying to them that a guy i would like to marry is muslim and then move away from them and work on my singing career. The problem is i dont know how to do the lying thing so i need some tips or step-by-step instructions.

I want to be a singer, but I need some help to be just as good as Chris Brown?

If you came in with a baritone bass voice, you would be more marketable than a tenor voice, because there aren't any around like you in the field on that level. Have you ever heard of Barry White, Lou Rawls, Will Downing, Anthony Hamilton, Paul Robeson, Musiq Soulchild (yes he has a great falsetto, but he is a baritone). These males have made a solid foot in the music industry because no one can compete with their lower voices. Be glad you don't sound like a Chris Brown. Those types of tenors come a dime a dozen in the R&B field. Dare to be different. The different ones are the ones who are remembered.

If you are serious about making a career in this, you should take lessons. All of those singers you mentioned have had private dance teachers/choreographers (yes even Micheal Jackson had choreographers) and voice teachers/coaches.I don't know of any singer who can sing and dance hard without lessons. It is HARD to do. Try singing on a treadmill. It is almost on the same level. You have to have great endurance and vocal support, which only comes from training. Start now looking for a professional dance instructor OR a dance group that will let you in to get experience. Same goes for voice. As corny as this sounds, getting involved with musicals is a good way to experience endurance with singing, because most musical theatre involves some type of choreography. Usher and Micheal have been good in these types of environments.

Work SMART, don't give up when things get hard or testy, and don't try to do things on your own. Try your best to get professional advice to keep you from having to unlearn bad habits you taught yourself. Get around artistic people who enjoy music as much as you do. Love yourself and keep your head up.

I can't sing very well but I want to be a singer. What do you suggest I do to learn on my own (besides obviously get a teacher)?

Singing is something that everyone should do, whether they are good at it or not. It is great for physical and emotional health, and is a skill that is practiced in every culture throughout the world.Singing involves energizing air that flows through your vocal chords and produces sound. To sing well, you need to produce a sound that is on pitch and pleasant for the listener. I recommend doing vocal exercises daily. The app Choir Prodigy has some very nice vocal exercises, and there are also some youtube videos with vocal exercises on them that you can practice with.Record yourself singing frequently and listen to the recordings objectively. Can you identify the issues? Are you singing with a relaxed, open tone? Is there stress in your voice? Is your pitch accurate? Go back a record the song again focusing on your problem areas and correcting them. Finally, sing as much as you can. I think the world would be a better place if everyone sang more. Really, really. Best of luck to you, my friend!
