I want to be an actress, but i have bad teeth?!?
Hiyah, well. i found this awesome site, where it has disney channel auditions and it is the official, i wanna audition for some, but.. 1. I have a 2 bad teeth, one is angled, and the other is growing from the top of my gums, at the front. 2. i live in the UK and the all of them are practically for the US, in which i wanna do a part-time stay there if needed. 3. i havent told my mum and dad what i wanna be for several reasons, they think there is no career in acting, and they know i have teeth problems. i also arent that very good looking, i have a biggish nose, which i hate to bits. Can anyone help me with my problems. thank you.
I want to become an actress but how do I start?
Cheesy and lame maybe, but I think I've made up my mind in wanting that. Thing is I have no clue on how to start or what to do and how to lose my extreme shyness (sp?) yeah I'm shy but want to become an actress so how do I work that out? I'm also 16 now, I'm starting my job next month to raise money if needed. I moved back to brasil so the chances are extremely low, but that's what the money is for, to move back to us and stuff. Its gonna be tough work but all worth it for me. I read in a few actors and actresses I like and others very famous on how they began their career, most of them went to acting school? So I'm guessing I will have too? If so how much? What's it like? I love acting around when no ones around, but not in front of others! So how to work this out and how do I start after moving back to us? Oh and is there a sertan age you have to start? I mean how do younger actors and actresses started? I want to become one because I want to get money to help my mom and dad with the bills and stuff.
How to tell my parents I want to be an actress?
oh no, don't leave a message on their phone they'll go crazy (been there, done that ;) ).Believe me, you could start a fire by doing that(i'm 18 and it took me a week to make the impossible, possible ) The best thing to do is to take both of them to a little talk but don't sound tragic. Just speak about how you feel about acting and about fame. Tell them, how you told us, that you want to act because you like to, because you want to give people another way of beauty. Speak very warm and don't tend to be aggresive if they don't understand at first time. Being very warm, helps you to succeed because they'll see it's very serious. Also tell them that you can't do something that you don't like. You can't become a doctor if all you want to do is to act. Give them positive examples as ... i don't know .... Meryl Streep or Susan Sarandon, or refer to ones of a younger age like Micha Barton. Don't refer to Lindsay Lohan at all :)). Also talk about Scarlett ;) hope it'll work. What should I do if I want to be an actress but my parents won’t let me?
First of all, don’t get yourself in trouble by disobeying your parents since you still live under their roof and they are paying for everything (I’m sure). I would say do what you can to fulfill you dream in a lesser way of upsetting anyone. If you have theater/drama in school. See if you can take it. If you are able to take this.. enjoy it. Really learn as much as you can about it. I’m not sure what grade you are in but continue to take theater for as long as you can.See if its possible during the summer to join a theater group or something. If not, keep in mind once you graduate and go into college you can continue to take theater. It’s more in depth, advanced and you’ll learn so much. Find a local film school if you have any around you… I’m sure they’ll be posting for locals to be apart of their films and audition.Also look up http://iactingstudios.com sometimes they have free classes online that you can partake in from where ever you are. Also if you can’t afford to join you can at least get 2 free hours a month online. It’s not much but it is better than nothing..Good luck!
