I Want To Get Some Technical Knowledge About Agriculture Field In Nagpur Suggest Some Resources

Rate my resume on a scale of 1 to 10...and suggest scope of improvements..?

Your address should only appear once, not twice; it is the same so just consolidate it by saying Permanent address.

Remove the reference names and addresses and put "References available on request." Then put them on a separate sheet and give them out at the interview.

Remove the secondary school education entries. Not necessary.

Remove the Declaration. Also not necessary.

Remove the personal skills entry as well. Save that for the interview.

Otherwise, this is very good. As a personal preference, I would remove the "objective" as well (since you have a summary), and save it for the cover letter, but you don't have to--that's optional.

Good luck to you in your job search!

As you aware India is farming country. More than half of the population are dependent on agriculture. And also India is a rural based country where maximum population lives in rural areas. Now coming to your point Agriculture Vs Biotechnology,There is always debate on what's the expenditure on Biotechnology Studies to research and what's its output ? And implications? If we see seriously the use of biotechnology in the ground is negligible, there are many reasons for the same. Since long research on Bt Brinjol Bt Soyabean is going on but not got approvel for the use of same in commercial. So when it comes to Agriculture you will study mainly like Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Entomology, Pathology Marketing etc. Which are much needed for current agriculture system and which has lot of applications and implementations in country like India. So, here I m not going to conclude Agriculture is better than Biotechnology, but at present condition and situations/Policies one can say agriculture has more scope tha Biotechnology.

Agricultural degree..?

UC Davis, great choice, has all the programs.

If you are a California resident, get in state tuition.
Have the grades and GRE scores to get in,
I salute you.

Many of my friends and colleagues went there.
I like telling them they are ranked #2 in the U.S.,
tho they, their Alums and those from other U's might want to debate or start a "pissing contest".

If you just want a Master's degree and not PhD,
Fresno State and Cal Poly SLO are options.
Tuition is lower there.

Your comment:
"...The programs/depts sound all the same..."
Made me laugh. But so true.
There is often alot of cross-over and diversity in departments.

If you will be a grad student,
you need to find a sponsoring prof.,
check out their websites to see if you are interested.
Hopefully you can get onto their grant, pays you a stipend and for your tuition.

If you like outdoor or greenhouse work.
agronomy, others you mentioned, viticulture (grapes), pomology, weed sci, forestry, env. sci, Ag. engineering, even vet school.
Alot of people don't want to be outside, due to hard work under the hot sun, so my hat's off to you.
You will likely spend alot of time back indoors planning and inputting data you gathered from the field.

Best Wishes.

email me if you wish.

Hello,I don't know much about this job profile. This is something I found about it“This job can be complex or relaxed at times. Imagine that suddenly the entire network of computers is down. There should be an immediate and well-informed decision to fix the network. On the other hand, if everything is going smoothly then you would probably be on Facebook.Likewise, the CEO or MD of the company may have some problem with their laptop. You could be talking and trying to solve the problems of the person who is in the highest position of the company. So, excellent communication skills, along with sound technical knowledge, is a must to constantly thrive and move to higher positions.”I feel networking is one of the technology that will never fade away.I would suggest you to enquire more about it. May be someone who is already worked in this profile.

Thanks for asking my opinion.when comparing with job, agriculture is best as for my concern.Because you won’t get pressure, tensions and most of all you need not to worry about future unlike software job in an MNC. I appreciate your desire to start business that is going to feed some people.I will give two options, choose what ever you want to full-fill your dreams.option:1)sell your ownFirst of all, This process require a lot of study on lands and facilities like water, labour ,transportation.Once you that strategy, make your own products like fruits,if you have the time to spend minimum 3–5 years.or else better to go with vegetables. It requires more water and caring also but it gives you fast returns on your investments with in less time comparing to earlier one.In both the cases you will get a good name with in 2 years approximately after your first crop if you go with organic products. That means the items which are grown without usage of chemicals.once you got a brand name for your products, you can start expanding your firm. Finally, you had a good name for your items and a good production house also ,now many MNCs like DMART,big bazar and many more will come to your feet to ask you to supply the fruits or vegetables…what ever it may beoption:2)stand on Farmer’s sideThis one need your deep research on market.Buy fruits or vegetables from the farmers directly, and then you can market it with wholesaler or retailer...etc.But this is some what risky process comparing with first one, because you don’t have the knowledge about how the actual market is going on. If you have a market strategy, you can choose this one but fix to some farmers only,so that you may expect good items from them and continue the same relation with farmers to supply the same quality. In this way you may stand in a good position in market. To secure your position in market, you have to be good with farmers. If you are good with farmers no one will compete with you.Now in both the cases, your attention is too important on each plant and patience also.sorry to say this,If you are doing Agriculture as business, you won’t succeed at all. Do it for making some one happy and energetic. Try to make more people happy so that you will definitely success in this field.Don’t expect profits here because weather is not in our hands. And last but not Least don’t belief on Government because it has not that much supportive in agriculture comparing to other sectors.

Hi, I am an ECE graduate. I could give few of those things which is needed to build youself as a skillful engineer.1. Circuit designingIt is the most basic skill which is needed. You must learn how to debug, synthesize, Analyse electrical circuits. iT should become a part of day to day life. You can master software packages like Orcad, P Spice, Eagle etc to simulate circuits. Another important aspect here is to learn and master PCB designing. I mean get into that stuff. Learn and do numerous projects. 2.Instrumentation and Electrical measurements:You should be capable of reading and manipulating instruments perfectly. Measurements is also a very important part of an electrical engineers job profile. 3.Power transmission and Transmission lines fundamentals4.Electrical Drives and Electrical machinery One must be good at using electrical machines with ease. Its testing, reading, construction and design aspects should be mastered. Drives like PLC, SCADA, speed controllers design etc must be known.5.Power electronics:Designing and fabricating power electronic circuits.6. Renewable energy fundamentals:Learn solar photovoltaic and get as much as hand on experience you can get in this area.7.Microcontrollers and Programming languages :8051, ARM, AVR, PIC etc fundamentals and programming is a must along with sufficient knowledge of Digital electronics and any one programming language preferably C/C++/JAVA.8. Presentation and communication skills/soft skills9.Fundamentals of electrical power generation and maintenance of electrical power plants. 10. Control systems and control machinery. It might seem to you that I had given names of subjects which might not necessarily you wanted here. But I would suggest you to get excellent in these areas and the you would not find yourselves to be jobless engineer. Most of these areas along with entrepreneurship fundamentals would help you to start your own company as well .

Types of Agricultural jobs?

Im kind of floundering in life at the moment. And I need to make a career choice and get in school. I was thinking something medical, but now a days, everyone works in the medical field. I live in a farming area of south east michigan. And I was thinking of doing something in Agriculture. A woman I use to work with said that her daughter does something called an Agricultural 'something' I cant remember. She travels to farmers fields in her area and collects soil and plant samples, and works with the farmers. I dont really remember what else she said about it, but im interested in finding out.
What are some Agricultural Jobs?

Agriculture as a back bone for Indian economy also consider as a "way of life" among Indian masses because more than 50% of the Indian People's livelihood directly depend on it. However, From previous few years, It is on verge of declining in its growth and even showed negative growth rate in some years because of following challenges:Fragmented land holdings-Nearly 80% of the farming families hold less than 2 acres of land limiting productivityMonsoon dependant agriculture makes it susceptible to the problems of Irrigation which is still inadequate despite measures taken by the government.Problems in procurement of HYV and GM seeds add to a farmers woes.Sustainability in agriculture is of utmost importance as many problems faced by farmersOver-dependence on traditional crops like rice and wheat.Use of pesticides in high amount and fertilizers has made the soil worse than they were before using them. Soil has become now immune to even those fertilizers and pesticides. In light of above multidimensional challenges, following solution can be considered to solve these problems:Smart machineries like drones and robots to work in fragmented lands. This small machines can do all sort of works from checking the field level, sowing, spraying and monitoring. But the cost of such smart miniature farm machineries should be subsidised to make it affordable.E- NAM virtual market introduced by GoI is set to reduce middle men problem and also ensure easy marketing across states.Smart sensors with precision farming helps to get out of drought adversities by targeted input delivery. It requires minimum input and also reduces cost of production. Already Micro irrigations are helping rained farmers in drought conditions.Control on wastage of water by implementing Rain water harvesting, drip irrigation, watershed management etc.Assured electricity transfer for farmers within expected timeframe of day.Use of organic farming, growing more trees and pastures to desalinate water.
