have one moderate meal a day, i recommend a plate of turkey slices or tuna. MEPS is a joke. They sent some big *** dudes through to basic, even some that were close to 300 pounds, unless you are that heavy dude, relax, run 2 miles a day, and eat a turkey or tuna wrap.

A little about my self; I am 6''2'' and 300 lbs, yes i'm aware that's heavy, but i'm not those big people you see on TV, i can run,jog,jump, i can do almost anything a 200 pound person can do...anyway i'm about to start College soon, and i wanna join the army after college and be an officer, so i figure i do ROTC, but i'm over weight! My questions is; Does Any One have any tips forme, and also some info about Weight/Fat loss programs that might be good!!

Start drinking only water. Start running everyday. You have to pass an endurance test in every service so start now. If you have a stadium at your High School start walking quickly up and down the stairs for a good 5 minutes go run a lap around the track come back, repeat the stairs , repeat the track. You should be able to run at least a good 30 minutes without stopping. Don’t worry how fast you are going in the first days or how far you are running those numbers aren’t important you have to get some aerobic conditioning going. Don’t run on concrete period. After a few weeks you can run on the road if you wish, but don’t risk getting injured or you won’t be able to continue your training. You don’t need to lift weights , but you do need to start doing a routine of calisthenics. The basics are push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, leg raises and eight count body builder which combines many of these basic exercises into one set of movements. Find a pull up bar that you can practice at since these tend to be the hardest challenge for most recruits. He will monitor your progress and make sure things are moving along. Simultaneously he will also be processing your paperwork and getting you ready to ship out. If you stop making progress on your end, the recruiter will probably stop focusing on your paperwork and file so much and instead direct his attentions elsewhere.Any recruiter that gives you completely negative answers in an attempt to belittle you is not worth your time. It is unprofessional and you should seek out another recruiter. They are not Drill Sergeants. On the other hand, when you get to boot camp, prepare for the “fun”

Stop eating junk food like pizza and fast food. That may be the number one problem with obesity in America. Excercise is good, you need it and it is a vital part of your health and becoming a marine or soldier.

But, exercise won't make up for all those bad eating habits. Drop the desserts now! After a couple of years in the Marines, just looking at a dessert would make me sick. I didn't eat them in the Marines and, 40 years later, I still don't eat them.

Keep up the exercise and drop the bad eating habits.
