I Want To Quit My Job

I want to quit my job?

I am a 17 year old guy who has a part time job working in McDonald's. I thought having this job would give me something to do while making money to save for college funds. Lately, though, I am finding my job to make me very cranky and depressed.

Some Co-workers are difficult to work with and they are getting on my last nerve. My managers don't make it better. And most customers aren't that great either. I'm becoming a hateful, mean person and that is not who I am. I though about it and is considering quitting my job and in the process of finding a new one. I'm even thinking I might quit and not find another one for a while until I get my act back together.

What do you think? Should I quit my job which doesn't bring happiness? Stay for a while? Find another job or not at all? Are you going through a similar event? Am I taking this way to seriously considering I'm only 17? I understand I'm still just a young man and there's a lot for me to learn, and I will appreciate any advice (and even criticism). I feel depressed and need a change

I want to quit my job working at KFC, how do I?

First, find another job. Interview whenever possible. It's best to leave a job with another job already secured.

Then speak with the GM or assistant GM of the store. Sometimes they hold an exit interview, sometimes they don't.

2 weeks notice is best for a career position, but with fast food, less is acceptable.

I really dont want to quit my job.?

so i have been working at this job for about 10 months now and i can say i actually like it. Its a cable compant and the supervisors are cool and my coworkers are chill. They help whenever i need assistance. Supervisors are always there to answer questions and help out when needed. I am comfotable in that job now and i dont want to resign. The reason as to why i would be resigning is because of the military; i am going into the Air Force I have been in that process for a while for about 2 years waiting for it to go thru and it finally did. i feel like i will miss it but the military is something i have always wanted to do. i would be taking a pay cut of about 200 to 300$. But on the flip of that is that i will be going to school and military pays for it. i dont really have a question just whats your opinion really?

How do I quit my job at Macy's?

I started working for Macy's a little over a month ago. I am a recovery and I find the job really stressful and gives you all kinds of hours.

I'm a full time high school senior, I take extra classes and I also volunteer at a hospital 3 hours a day for 3 days a week. When I was hired, they said it would be a minimum of 15 hours a week and it wouldn'texceed 30 hours a week, on my work permit (for school) they asked for my maximum amount of hours to be 25. Since I started, they always gave me 32-38 hours and I honestly can't handle that.

I've been getting really sick lately and was diagnosed with Pneumonia on Christmas and in the past 3 weeks, this would be my 9th day calling in sick because I'm still really contagious. I had what I thought was a cold, which was really an ear infection, then I had a strep throat, which led to the flu, which led to Pneumonia. I have NEVER been this sick before until I started working at Macy's.

I want to quit my job and be a bum...is this SO wrong?

I just want to hang out with my dog and pick through peoples garbage and have no real responsibilities because I'm sick of working with a*s holes all day long.

Is it okay to just want to quit your job and do nothing?

Yes.  Oh very absolutely yes.  And you don't have to do anything. No job. No travel.  No books.  No Nothing. And in that Nothingness you would find yourself.  Hopefully.  I quit my job last year.  I first quit mentally and then on papers.  Took a while to piece it all together. It was my plan in my head. And Nobody needed to know it. Ofcourse there was a version for everyone but blehI did Nothing. I woke up.  Listened to music. Ate my fav food. Watered the plants. Played with my doggie. Read some history and economics. Talked to my parents. Made them tea. Helped in the household work. Watched TV. Met people whom I had not met in years. Basically, I slowed down my running and I am telling you it felt good. It really did. It was like my real support system, my immediate environment was responding to me. And I, like a blind man, had ignored that for so many years! When i talked to someone who was in the corporate job that time,  I felt so distant. But Here's the caveat. There always is one. Isn't it? I quit at the top of my career as the Head of sales for one of the upcoming housing finance companies. But my background is solid. I knew I could join the work force anyday I wanted at my own terms and conditions. I never eventially did and I started my own Interiors design business because that's what my passion was and spending my days doing *Nothing * helped me find that part of me. Mind it,  while I was doing Nothing,  I did not make any business plan or growth ppt. I just did it. Literally took the plunge. But not everyone is that lucky. The thought of how money would flow in esp if u r a single bread earner is very scary but you got to evaluate that for yourself. When can you take a break and for how long. What is your plan b. Is there someone in your life who would hold you together if you are falling apart. How good is your support system. Are your parents the type who would understand that you need your space and time but yet be there when you need them. Jobs are a basic necessity. But you got to fight them when they become the necessary evil.
